Chapter 270 - The end

Anastasia.

After a long wait, the fateful day arrived.

I still can’t believe I’m getting married to those three on the same day at the same time.

My heart filled with thrill and excitement.

Looking at myself in the mirror wearing the wedding dress of my dreams reminded me of my engagement day.

But, things are no longer the same. I’m going to be married to the people who accept me for who I am, regardless of everything.

If I look back, it had been a long journey; me losing my home, to them bringing me here, getting used to my new role, and most importantly, witnessing their growth and how they turned into fine young men in front of my very own eyes. I appreciate every part of it.

“Do you seriously need to lock the door to get dressed? We’ve been standing here for one and a half an hour.” Sebastian yelled, outside the door.

“Girls usually take longer to get dressed. Why do you have to be so impatient?” Nikolai retorted. “Go back and do something else.”

“Why the hell are you two arguing here?” Leon grunted. “Are you stupid or what?”

“You are the one to talk!”

“Princess, I don’t think we can keep them standing anymore,” Maria chuckled, trying to suppress her laughter. “They are running out of patience.”

“Let’s go greet them,” I replied.

She opened the door and they hurled their way inside altogether.

Seeing me, all of them were awestruck.

But, I was the one who couldn’t take my eyes off them.

“You never looked anymore prettier than this,” Sebastian comments, taking me by the hand. He kissed the top of my palm with a bow.

“You are wrong,” Nikolai stated.

“She has always been pretty. Clothes and makeup don’t matter,” Leon remarks walking over to my side to give me a peck on the cheek.

Maria covered her eyes with her palms but kept looking in our direction.

“Leon is right, I seriously can’t take my eyes off you,” Nikolai smiled.

“My wife is so pretty! I can’t get enough of you!” Sebastian complained, rubbing his cheeks against mine, while he wrapped his arms around me.

“Maria is here if you don’t remember,” I reminded. “She might feel uncomfortable.”

“What? No, no!” Maria insisted, removing her hands from her eyes. “Don’t mind me. Think of me like an invisible person.”

“I seriously can’t do that when you are right in front of me,” I replied. “You all go back. I’ll come down with Maria. We’ll leave in a minute.”

They glanced at each other and agreed to it.

“Alright then, come down in a hurry,” Leon replied. “Let’s go.”

They left together, closing the door behind them.

I heaved a sigh, taking a deep breath. “They are so noisy, acting like kids all the time. I seriously don’t know what to do with them.”

“Love can make anyone act weird, You can’t blame them,” Maria smiled, walking over to my side. “I’m so happy for you. I can’t describe the level of my happiness.”

“Let’s talk on the way,” I suggested, taking the lead. “Or else they’ll come searching for me again.”

She nodded, tagging beside me. “You look very pretty today, like a real princess.”

“Thank you, Maria. I owe you a lot.”

“Owe me? What do you mean?”

“When I came here, you were the first friend I had. You talked with me, you helped me out and listened to my worries. I’m so lucky to have you in my life.”

She stopped in her tracks, looking at me with a guilty expression.

“What’s wrong?”

“I didn’t do anything extraordinary. I only gave the little support I could from outside. The ones that helped you out, were the Masters. I’m just a moral support. Nothing else.”

“That’s enough,” I replied, holding onto her hand. “You are my dear friend. That’s all that matters to me. Will you stay friends with me forever?”

She hugged me tightly, nodding. “Yes, yes! I’ll be your friend for as long as I live. Thank you for this honor.”

“It’s no honor, you deserve it.”

She pulled away with a bright smile.

Yes, this is how things are supposed to be.

I walked down the aisle, with the Alpha beside me instead of my father.

Dad, I may not be your real daughter or you may not be my real dad. But, for all these 20 years, I thought of you as my real dad only.

I can’t think you aren’t my dad anymore. So, no matter where you are, I hope you are watching over me as I step into my new life with your blessings by my side.

Thank you for raising me and giving me so much love. I’m glad to be born into this world as your daughter. You are the best dad ever.

We arrived in front of Sebastian, Leon, and Nikolai. After finishing his part, the Alpha left, patting on my back.

I saw Maria and Julie waving at me from the crowd, boosting my confidence,

When I stepped into my new world, I felt a nudge at my back and the touch felt familiar.

“Stop right there!” I heard a yell from behind.

I glanced behind me to see someone heading towards me from the entrance.

Everyone’s gaze was focused on that person only.

To my surprise, Freya arrived at the spot wearing a dress.

She came and stood in front of me with an angry expression.

“Freya?”

“Why is she here?” Leon complained.

“I don’t remember inviting her over,” Sebastian added.

“You–“

“How dare you get married without me?” she grunted, “I won’t allow you to do that.”

“What?”

She stepped forward and hugged me tightly.

I was stunned.

“Congratulations, I hope you are happy in your new life. And, I’m sorry. I hope you can forgive me,” she murmured.

Did she come here to apologize to me?

I extended out my arms, hugging her back.

“I’m glad you came. Thank you.”

She pulled with a guilty expression.

“I’ve done my job. I can leave now!” she added, heaving a sigh.

“You are leaving right away? Won’t you stay and witness the whole ceremony?”

“Uh….some people won’t be at ease if I’m here. So, I’ve to leave. It’s okay,” she assured, smiling. “I gave you my wishes, that’s all that matters. Take care, and come visit us if you have time. I’ll make you your favorite food and keep your room ready.”

“Sure, I’m looking forward to it.”

She gave a nod smiling and walking away from there.

I was feeling lonely for no reason, my family did bless me after all.

I’m grateful for everyone’s wishes. Thank you.

“What are you waiting for? Hurry up!” Nikolai yelled in my direction.

“I’m running out of patience!” Sebastian complained.

“Anastasia!” Leon called.

Let’s live our best lives together, hand in hand, in sickness and health, to be there for each other, and overcome all the obstacles coming our way with the people we love.
