Chapter 192
Epilogue:
“I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss your bride.” Vladimir didn’t wait to be told twice to kiss Elena.
He smiled into the kiss and she wrapped her arms around him, pulling him closer.
“Elena Ivanov.” He said, taking both her hands in his as he kissed her knuckles. The two of them smiled as they looked at one another, and she blushed.
Killian, who was his beta’s best man, looked at her and the two of them smiled before he walked toward towards Eleanor. Elena frowned in confusion, but the Alpha was quick to turn to face her with a black box in his hands. His eyes met hers and he took a step forward.
Vladimir tightened his arm around her, pulling her to his chest as she looked at the Alpha. His eyes were fixed on her as he opened the box, revealing a topaz and diamond necklace.
“You are now not only our Beta’s mate, but also my brother’s wife. The two of us may not be brothers by blood, but we have chosen to be ones. We have chosen to make it our duty and goal to make things right amongst all the problems that we can go through. We have fought, we have argued, and day after another, we always made sure that our friendship was built on our brotherhood.” He said, looking at Elena as he approached her.
“While I have to admit, I never did expect to have a human amongst our pack. It is not something that I had in mind, but you have proven to be stronger than even you would know. I didn’t meet you when you first came, but I knew that Vladimir wouldn’t have fought for you, wouldn’t have put everything on the line for anyone if they were not worth it. It was who he is, it is what he believes in, and trust me, knowing my beta, I know as well as I know my name that he would be more than willing to destroy everything and everyone who thinks of harming his family. That includes the person that he might love, and that means you.” He said, watching as Vladimir took a step back, allowing the Alpha to take his place.
Killian handed Elena the box as he pulled the necklace out of it. He walked behind her, and she looked down at the jewel as he put it around her neck, making her smile.
“We are not men that believe in love at first sight, nor do we believe that a mating can be a true reason for love. It is hard for us to find love, but when we do, God knows that we hold onto it with everything that we have. We fight for it, we kill for it, and we are even willing to die for it.” He said, not turning around to face her. She stayed when she is as he stood behind her. He turned her around gently, and cupped her cheeks before kissing her forehead, letting his lips linger there for a moment.
“You are now my sister by oath, by war, by fights, and by choice. Just as I know that Vladimir would kill for you, I would destroy the world for you because I know that he would do the same for Eleanor and my children.” He put his hand on the woman’s stomach for a moment then looked at her son, who Natasha held to her chest, smiling at him. “You gave us one boy, Caspian, and I know that you are going to give us more.”
He removed his hand from her and she smiled as she looked down at her feet, but the Alpha shook his head as he put his finger under her chin, making her look up at him.
“Our women, no matter what the cause might be, do not look down at their feet. They stand strong, proud, and powerful. You are now an Ivanov, and you are to have the enemies, friends, and even those who are hypocrites as price of the last name. But I know for fact that you were always aware of it, you were proud of what you were to be in, and I know that the moment you chose to ask Vladimir to mark you, you knew what you were signing up for.”
“You are part of this family and your children will grow to be their father’s heirs. Just as he was his father’s and I my father’s; Your kids, the pack’s children, would be the same. We will all grow together, stronger, more fierce, and more powerful. And as days go, we are going to learn and we will grow.” He said, making the woman smile. “Just as you came out of the demon’s den, just as you brought us closer to our target more times than you thought you would, you would be the person to guide your kids to through their path.”
He took a step back, allowing Vladimir to take his place as he walked toward his mate. Eleanor put her hand on her husband’s chest as he wrapped his arm around her shoulder, pulling her to him. Natasha brought Caspian toward the newlyweds, and the smile on her face was one so pure that anyone would have fallen for it.
She pulled out her camera and nodded at the couple, smiling at them, encouraging them to smile. The happiness that they felt was beyond what they could explain. Vladimir kissed his son’s forehead, making him giggle, and Vladimir shook his head as he looked at Elena.
“Welcome to the family, malyshka.” He said, making her blush.
“It feels good to know that I have one, truly have one.” She said, and Vladimir kissed the crown of her head, letting his lips linger there as Natasha took the two of them a picture. One last memory for their story.
“Elena Ivanov.” He said, whispering the last name to her. “Not only does it have a ring to it, but it makes you mine. Officially mine, baby girl…”
