Revenge plan

~Alpha Kilhan~

“Argh!” I felt a sharp pain in my head as I slightly opened my eyes. Next to my bed were bottles of alcohol I had drowned myself in the previous night.

“Hmm.” I moaned as I tried to sit up. I looked around my room and saw it was in total chaos, then I remembered I had almost knocked down the house when I was drunk.

With my head feeling too heavy for my body to carry, I dragged my feet to the bathroom so I could rinse off my face.

Getting to the basin, I splashed enough water on my face before staring into the mirror right above the tap.

I clenched my jaws as I made my way out of the bathroom. “Time to face reality.” I grabbed a shirt and shorts from my closet, put it on, and headed out of my room.

On my way to my office, I saw Betty walking in my direction with my food tray in her hand.

“Kilhan, you’re up. I was going to bring you food in your room.” She said as she drew closer to me. I smiled and put my arms around her shoulders.

“That’s very thoughtful of you, Betty. You can bring it to my office instead.” I answered, and she nodded, staring at my face.

“You seem pretty different today.” She uttered, and I looked at her, with my hand still around her shoulders.

“What do you mean?”

“Well…” She lowered her head shyly. “You seem pretty happy, and now you’re holding me so close to yourself.” She muttered, causing me to chuckle softly.

“I’m happy because my revenge plan starts today,” I responded with a grin.

“Really?! You’re finally going after Jessica as your mother suggested?” She asked enthusiastically, and immediately, the smile on my face faded off.

“How many times will I warn you not to mention her name?” I moved my hand away from her shoulders and threw it in my pocket.

“I’m sorry. I’m so sorry, okay? I thought you don’t care about her anymore and would do as you are supposed to.”

“I don’t care about her, the same way I don’t want to see or hear about her. This will be the last time I’ll warn you.”

“I’m sorry, okay? Forgive me.” She pouted, slightly hitting my arm with hers, but I wasn’t in the mood for chitchats anymore.

“Reach out to Drex. Tell him we’ll be having a pack meeting now.” I said as we both got to my office.

“Okay, I’ll drop the meal inside first.”

“No. The pack meeting is more important than food. I’ll attend to that later. Take it back.”

As the guards opened the door and I walked in, they slammed the door shut behind me. I walked to my shelves, picked up all the files that Jarius had been giving me since the beginning of the investigation, and headed out of the office again.

There was no point hiding any of it from the pack again. “If they are going to help me take down Alpha Darius, then nothing should be hidden from them.”

Getting to the living room, I saw my pack gathering already. When they saw me approaching, they all hastily settled down.

I sat in front of them and passed the files to Drex. “We need to make copies of those, enough to go around,” I uttered as he took a glance at what was in the file.

When he saw what it was, his eyes widened. He stood up and moved close to me. He whispered in my ear and said;

“Do you have to show them all of these?” He asked, and I gulped.

“There’s nothing to hide. I shouldn’t have hidden it from the pack in the first place. Make copies.”

He nodded slowly and waved to Leo, one of the omegas, instructing him to make copies.

“Before that gets back, let’s talk about attacking Alpha Darius Gomez,” I uttered, and they all looked shocked and began to murmur.

“What? Alpha Darius? Why are we going against an Alpha like that?”

“Enough! Let me finish!” I smacked, commanding silence in the room.

“I know Alpha Darius is a man to be feared but I don’t care, because he killed my father and I’ll do anything to avenge his death!” I uttered in a loud tone.

“Even if you have to use his daughter against him?” I heard the voice of my mother from behind me.

“Not now, mother.” I gritted my teeth.

Leo returned with the copies in his hands and began to share them with every one seated.

“You should join the meeting too, mother. I’d love you to hear this.” I added as I sat again. She rolled her eyes and sat next to Betty.

“The file with Ashley Grayson. That is the one we would be working on now. Ashley Grayson was my late father’s mistress…”

“What?!” My mother exclaimed, grabbing the copy from Betty. Her jaw dropped as she quickly scanned through. “But you said it was false.” She uttered, raising her head to look at me.

“Well, now you know the truth. Your husband wasn’t the most loyal man like you thought.” I answered, shifting my gaze to the other members.

“She told my father she was pregnant for him, so he sent her a sum of $500,000 to get rid of it, which I later found out that she didn’t. Now, there’s a question left unanswered.

“She was having an affair with Alpha Darius at the time too. I have no idea if the son she bore was my father’s or Darius’, and guess what? I don’t care.

“We are going after Ashely Grayson and her son. We are going to find out where they are and bring them down here.”

“What? Why would you bring her here? Do you think I’d want to set my eyes on that filth?!” My mother yelled.

“You asked me to avenge my father’s death. This is the way I want to do it. And you don’t even have to see her. She’d be thrown in the cell, not the house.” I answered, and just before I could continue telling my plans to them, my mother sprang to her feet and stormed out of the room.

Drex stood up to go after her but I stopped him. “She’ll get over it. The truth is strange to everyone, not her alone.”

Drex slightly nodded and sat down again.

“So, once we have Ashley in custody, we put her son’s life under threat. If she doesn’t help us eradicate her boyfriend, Alpha Darius, we’ll kill her and her son. It’s that easy.”

“So we are using her son, who could be your stepbrother as bait?” Drex asked.

“We are using both of them. I don’t care who they are to me. She has to help us kill him.”

“But what if they aren’t together anymore? I mean, it’s been a long time since this happened. It’s very possible she isn’t with Alpha Darius anymore.” Lucas uttered.

“According to her data, she is still not married. There could be so many reasons for that, but I’m sure her involvement with Alpha Darius isn’t an exception.” I answered.

“And if she succeeds in killing him like we want, What do we do about Ashley and her son?” Betty asked, and I scoffed.

“What do you think? If she ends up killing Darius without getting killed by him first, then we’ll just get rid of them ourselves.” I responded with a smirk.

The pack exchanged surprised looks among themselves because of my last statement, but that wasn’t going to change my mind.

“What if this plan doesn’t work? We should have a plan B.” Alexander, one of the Gammas raised his hand and spoke.

“If it doesn’t work…” I took a pause, tightened my jaws, and looked at their faces one after the other.

“I’ll have to get to him using the means I don’t want to.”
