Chapter 12

**First Date**

**Evan's P.O.V**

Damn, damn. I keep repeating to myself. I have been together with Verafor sometime but never asked her out on a proper date. I need to make it extra special, I am thinking maybe flowers and music or maybe something regular and comfortable. Damn, I need help.

"Hey dude, buddy. Are you okay? You're ripping your hair off." I hear Liam say breaking my train of thought.

"Oh hey bro, god can you help me with something?" I asked him pointedly.

"Yeah, sure. What's the problem?" He said sitting on the couch against my wall of my office.

"Well, the thing is I have been with Verafor almost 3 weeks now ever since we met. And I was wondering if I could take things slow and ask her on our first date. And you know make things official between us." I said looking at him and scratching the back of my neck.

"Okay, all you gotta do is make her feel special but don't over do it. Girls hate that, especially if she is a simple girl. They are the most special you can ever get." He said smiling.

"Thanks man. I don't know what I would do without you."

"Maybe you would still rip all of your hair out if I wasn't here." We both laughed.

"I might give her a call right now." I said after we fully calm down.

"You do that and I going to go find something to do to keep myself busy." Liam said winking and left the room. Hahh, old habits die hard. I chuckled.

I called Veraafter Liam leaves. The phone rang and she picked up at the last minute.

"Hello." She said out of breath.

"Hello love, glad to hear your voice. Why do you sound like you ran a marathon?"

"Same here, oh, my brother and I were playing some hoops in the backyard."

"Hope you are winning. I could beat them up for you." I said chuckling.

"Oh, no no. That's not gonna happen. What's up with you?"

"I just wanted to....um to say if you.....wanted to go on a date with me?" I asked her nervously.

I heard silence and I waited. It was very eerie silence that continued for 3 seconds.

"Umm, wow. I mean yeah. I would love to." Verafinally said breathless.

"Alright, then I'll pick you up at 8pm sharp. See you then." I said smiling and rubbing my jaw.

"Yeah, see you then."

"Vera?"

"Hmm?" I heard her say.

"I love you."

"I love you too, Evan."

"Goodbye, till we meet again." With that said I hung up the phone. And took deep breaths. Time to plan a special date. I only had five hours for perfections.

**Vera's P.O.V**

Oh my goddess, I can't believe Evanasked me on a date. A date..with...him. I sighed. I smiled and blushed.

"Someone is smiling." Veraheard behind her. She turned and saw her brother behind with his hands in his pocket.

"Umm, Evanjust asked me on a date." I said smiling and pushed the stray hair behind my ear.

"Wow, dude is seriously stepping up his game. I glad he's doing okay for now. But if he does any funny business I will hurt him and make him suffer." John said looking at me seriously.

"Evan's not like that. He's different from any other guys I have met. He cares. He thinks with his head and not what's below his waist." I said patting my brother's shoulder.

"That's what I expected of him. I just don't to see you hurt. I really can't bear to see you cry. It breaks my heart." My brother said hugging me and kissed me on my forehead.

"What time is the date?" John said after a while.

"Around 8pm sharp." I answered.

"Well, what are you waiting for? Go get ready and wear something appropriate. I don't want to hear your mate got into a fight with some guy." He said laughing and pushed me towards the stairs.

"Okay, okay I am going. Sheesh, pushy much." I said teasing John.

I ran up the stairs and grabbed my bath necessities and jumped into the shower. After a my shower I looked in my closet and found my white lace dress. The dress was just above my knees and had long sleeves. It had a sweetheart neck line that showed only a small amount of skin of my breast. I chose my gold ballet flats instead of heels. You would never know if the date was on the beach.

When I was finished dressing, I decided to keep my hair with its natural curls. I only added hair gel on the curls. I put on some gold bracelets and gold diamond studded long earrings and a gold necklace that matched my earrings. I even added gold rings on my fingers. I added a touch of blush and some eyeliner. I just put a nude lip color lipgloss on my lips. And voila, finished. Ready for my date. Can't wait to see my surprise.

I went downstairs just as soon as the doorbell rang.

"I'll get it." I said opening the door, and saw Evanstanding there with a bunch of roses and Vera's in his hands. I smiled at him and tooled the flower. I hugged him, Evan laughed.

"I love them. Goddess, there are so beautiful. Come on in." I said pulling him into the living room just when my dad, mom and brother came in.

"Thank you, I am glad you like them. Hello, Mr and Mrs. Ambler. You as well, John." Evansaid shaking their hands while mom gave him a hug.

"Oh dear, you two should before it's late. I am sure Evanhas something wonderful planned." Mom said pushing us out the front door and closed it.

Evanchuckled but I couldn't help to laugh either. He walked me to the car and we drove away from home.

"So, where are you taking me?" I said trying to crack his shell.

"It's a surprise." He said looking at me smiling. We passed the city and we went through a dark place. I looked at him nervously but he only told me to calm down there's no harm.

He stopped the car. And he walked over the passenger side and opened the door and he offered his palm. I put my hand in his and I came out. He then put a blindfold on my eyes.

"Evan, how in the world is this suppose to work?" I asked until I felt hands behind my back and my legs. He was caring me bridal style.

"Like this." He said and I could hear the amusement in his voice. I couldn't tell how long he walked, he put me down on the ground and removed the blindfold. My eyes opened to see that we were on the beach. There was lights that surrounded the little picnic that was on the blanket and leading to the blanket was rose peddles. I looked at him and smiled.

"This is so beautiful. Thank you." I said and went up to him and kissed Evan. He welcomed the kiss and hugged me back.

"I am so glad you like it. You look so beautiful, it's so hard to resist you right now." He said gripping my waist. He led me to the big picnic are. I took off my flats and sat down. Evansat next to me and he reached over and pulled out chocolate strawberries. He then took out crystal water to drink.

"Wow, you sure know to treat a lady." I said teasing him.

"I couldn't resist. The ladies love to have strawberries with chocolate when it comes to me. I am like gift waiting to be unwrapped." He said causing me to blush and laugh.

He feed me and I feed him. Until I was full. He decided to make us dance slowly to Celine Deion's "My Heart Will Go On", he knew how much this song means to me.

"I decide that this song will be official song."

"Really?"

"Yep. And you can never change it."

"That's good, cause I was never ever gonna let go of this moment." He said kissing me.

" I was wonder if you would be my girlfriend?" Evansaid after he kissed me.

"I would love to be your girlfriend." I said looking at his wonderful silver eyes and cupped his cheeks.

"I am happy that I have met. You made me a changed man. The guys are noticing it to..since I can't be more manly. I am a helpless romantic." He said laughing.

"That you are, I couldn't agree more." I said laughing.

For the rest of the night, we talked and kissed. We looked at the stars and looked at each other. But it was finally for us to leave. The beach was so peaceful with the both of us alone.

"Next time when we come back, we are bring our bathing suits and swimming trunks." Evansaid brushing out his pants.

"I couldn't agree more."

With that said we left the beach back into reality of our werewolf lives.
