Chapter 72 LENA
LENA
And my anger is more intensified because he found out that Sarah is a witch but decides to keep her alive instead of killing her as the law says. Of course, that's because he wants to use her. That's what he's so good at…. Using people. He used my father and he used me. Now, I will make him pay for it. He and the entire werewolves and lycans.
I went back to witches and agreed to work with them. They unlocked my powers and I found out I'm powerful. I hide my witches aura as I return to Ezekiel's pack. I have my own goal. I'm not working for the witches or the devils, I'm working for myself. I'm just going with the flow.
I pretend to still be on Ezekiel's side while I help the witches and find a way to bring Dalia to them alive. To open the gate of hell —which is slightly open— forever and nothing will ever close it again, Dalia's blood is needed. That's why the witches want her alive. Dalia doesn't know how much power she possesses. How to unlock all her power is in the prophecy book which they will never get their hands on.
But the problem is that even if she doesn't see it, she's close to unlocking it. That's why the witches want her as soon as possible. Dalia is powerful but once she unlocks her full power, she will be unstoppable. Not even the devils can stop her. And she will be able to lock the gate of hell forever.
The witches want revenge on the werewolves and lycans, and to stop living in hiding too, but they know that they don't stand a chance against them, that's why they want to free the devils. They believe the devils will help them destroy their enemies.
I don't care about the devils. Why I agree to work with the witches is that I want Dalia's death. I know her death will break Ezekiel and I want to see him break. I want him to feel the same pain I felt the day he killed my mother.
I thought it would be hard to lure Dalia out of the pack alone, but it was actually easy. I knew that she and Sarah had caught up on the truth. I know that before they tell anyone, especially Ezekiel, they will need evidence. And to get evidence, it will mean they will keep an eye on me. So I pulled out my own plan. I will let them keep an eye on me so that I will be able to lure them out of the pack. Knowing Dalia, I wasn't surprised when she came after me alone.
“You did a good job,” Freya, one of the witches who are here to pick up Dalia, says. There are about three witches and three werewolves from Tudor's pack. Well, it's a good thing they know how powerful Dalia is that they had to turn up in numbers.
“Why did you kill Lydia?” One of the other two witches asks with anger clear in her voice. She's glaring at me, but I don't give a fuck.
“I didn't kill her. I asked her to run away because Ezekiel was one step in catching her. I don't know why she went to Tudor's pack or why he killed her. You guys should have thought twice before joining forces with that mad Alpha.” I reply nonchalantly. The three werewolves from Tudor's pack barred their teeth at me for calling their Alpha mad. But they know better to stand rooted where they are because I won't hesitate to tear them apart if they make a move. They are just babies to me. I'm not just a lycan who has lived for fifty years, but also a witch.
“I don't believe you…..”
“That's enough Tabitha,” Freya cuts her off. Tabitha glares at me. It's as if she's restraining herself from hitting me. I don't fear the bitch. If she crosses me, I will show her that I'm not just a witch but a lycan too.
“I finally did the work that none of you could have done. All the people you sent to Ezekiel's pack were useless. You guys owe me one.”
“We don't owe you anything. You chose to join this cause,” Freya cuts in sarcastically. They don't like me. I know, and I don't give a fuck.
“Martha wants you to come with us,” the other witch says. It's hard to catch up with their names. I knew Freya's because she's the one Martha assigned to help me learn one or two things about their coven.
“I can't. Ezekiel will need me.”
Tabitha scoffs. “Do you think he will still need you if he finds out who you are?”
“For your information, I'm staying back so I can keep an eye on them. Just because you have Dalia doesn't mean you have won this fight. The lycans and werewolves are more powerful than you can imagine. So some need to know every move they make!” I snap. I just hate these people. It's hard putting up with them.
“Fine. You can stay. I will explain to Martha,” Freya says. She instructs the werewolves to pick Dalia who's still on the ground up and put her in the back of one of the vehicles they are with which is not far from us.
“What about Sarah, what should be done about her?” I ask.
“Leave her for now until Martha gives an order.” Freya replies. I nod, but I know that I take orders from no one. I will still handle Sarah in my own way. I may be working with the witches but those fuckers can't control me. I can do anything I fucking want. And also I have my own plan. I'm taking my revenge on my own terms and not on theirs. All I need their help to do is kill Dalia.
