Chapter 57 DALIA
DALIA
When we get to the room where Sarah and her daughter are, the psychiatrist and Lena are already there. The doctor greets us while we greet each other. He's a tall tan skin man with handsome features. His pitch back hair falls down to his neck. He neatly styled them back, looking like a prince. Maybe Ezekiel notices the way I'm staring at him because he pulls me closer to himself and kisses my forehead.
“This is my mate Dalia,” he says possessively. The doctor has already introduced himself as Nathan. Ezekiel doesn't need any introduction. He already knows who he is. Nathan only gives a small nod with a smile. I admit he has a beautiful smile but not as beautiful as Ezekiel and I'm so lucky that I've been getting his smiles these days. I don't know why he chose to hide such a beautiful smile.
I chuckle slightly. I know he's the jealous type. I've seen it with Dennis. But I think he looks cute at this moment. I hope he understands that no man can ever have my attention like him. I think he's the most handsome man. Well, for me. I've never seen someone that has such a striking feature like him. The first day I saw him, his handsome face caught me off guard. And of course I didn't admit it because he was an asshole. I don't think I've ever seen a man as handsome as Ezekiel. He doesn't need to be jealous because I'm all his.
“You are awake, Dalia,” Lena says. As usual her face is blank. I don't know if she's happy or not that I woke up, but I don't need to read the meaning into the look on her face because that's how she always keeps her face.
“Yes. And the unconsciousness I fell into actually brought good news for us,” I reply.
After the meditation. I was able to figure out the spell to use to undo the spell on Sarah and her daughter, Samara. The answer lies with me and I will discover it all one after the other. This is my destiny and I have the power to fulfill it.
“What do you mean?” Lena asks with a confused look. That's one of the little expressions you can ever see on her face. And just like always, I don't know if she's happy with the news or not.
“I don't need to go into the details. All you have to know is that I now know the spell to undo the spell on Sarah and Samara. I figured it out.”
I don't have to tell anyone the details. All they need to know is that we can finally do something about Sarah and Samara's mental state.
And Lena being Lena, she didn't ask any further questions. That's one of the things I like about her. She's not an overly curious person like me which is overstimulating sometimes. It's a habit I've tried to stop, but I just can't. I'm always eager to know what I don't know. And I like pressing people to tell me what they know even when they don't want to talk about it.
“Does that mean we won't need that doctor,” she asks instead.
“Yeah. I don't think we will need him,” I replied and turned to the doctor. “I'm sorry for the inconvenience.”
“It's not a big deal. I've gone a long way with Lena in this medical field so I came rushing down here when she told me about this. And I think your solution is the best because mine will take a long time.”
Ezekiel asked Lena about the doctor when she was still planning for him to come here. He wants to know about the man he's letting into his pack and also sharing some of his secrets with since no one knows about Sarah and Samara except us.
She said he's a werewolf and they met in college. He's a good friend of hers and she trusts him. He's from Dark Valley Pack. He works in the only hospital they have there and he also works in a human hospital.
That's the same pack Leon said his mother frequents before her death. I haven't told Ezekiel about it. I will tell him soon. We need to know why she always visits the Dark Valley Pack. It's not like she's working there because Leon said she works here in Ezekiel's pack.
And speaking of Leon, I haven't seen him for the past few days. Nikolai says he's doing well, and I'm glad about it. I know he will not forget his mother, but I hope he lives his life and is happy.
“Thanks for understanding,” Ezekiel says. “And we are going to pay you for the inconvenience.”
“You don't have to.”
“No. You deserve it.” I chip in.
“If you say so,” he says with a small smile.
“I will escort him out,” Lena says as she walks away with him.
Once they are gone. I turn my attention to Sarah. Today she's quiet. She's just staring at space and her daughter is resting her head on her shoulder. Despite them being mentally disordered they still recognize the bond they have. I wonder if they will recognize Jerald if they see him.
“What do you plan to do with Jerald?” I ask. He has been locked up for days now. I wonder what Ezekiel plans to do with him. I hope he forgives him. Jerald didn't have an option. I believe that anyone in his shoes will make such a selfish decision.
“I don't know for now. But if Sarah becomes of help, I might consider setting him free. Even if he had refused to help the witch, she would have found another person. Thinking of it, I think he's a victim. He did what he did to protect his family.”
“You are right. The witch used him. He had no choice.”
“But I won't forget his betrayal and the fact that he lied to me about Sarah's identity,” he adds.
“Well, you have every right not to forgive him. He broke your trust.”
“So what truth do you think Sarah will tell us?” He asks as he moves close to Sarah who finches away. She seems afraid of us. That's funny because the last time I saw her, she wanted to kill us.
“She will definitely know something that will be of help.” For that woman back in that white room to tell me to bring Sarah back to her normal state, it shows that Sarah knows a lot that will help in stopping this war.
“Maybe she has a connection with the witches. There's no way I will believe that she doesn't have any connections with them just as Jerald said. And if she's working with them. She will face the consequences. And it will mean that Jerald is also working with her. And he will also face the consequences.”
“Do you think so?” I feel like he's innocent. His wife could be deceiving. Or maybe Sarah is not working with the witches. If she's working with them, why will they do this to her? It doesn't make any sense. Or maybe she's working with the witches that are working with the devils, and not the witches that want me dead. Or maybe she's not. I don't know why I feel like she's not working with any of them. But how will she know any information that will help us if she's not working with any of them?
