Chapter 14 DALIA
DALIA
How dare that big bad Alpha lock me in a room. I already have PTSD from being locked up in that dirty dungeon for three days and now this. I won't allow him to continue treating me like some sort of garbage. I'm his mate and his Luna. He must respect me. And he also needs to know that I'm not some weak bitch that he can treat anyhow.
I open the door but the guards are still there. They are guarding me as if I'm some sort of thief. I want to tie them up and leave, but I don't think that will be fun. It will be more fun if they think that I'm still locked up in this room when I'm not.
I close the door and walk towards the window. The pack house is so big. I haven't been able to explore it, but I know I will soon.
I plan to escape with my teleporting ability. My teleporting ability doesn't always work, so I won't name it as one of my powers. I don't know why it is like that. I asked my mother, but she said that I should figure it out myself.
Sometimes if I teleport, I won't go to the destination I want. I will see myself somewhere. Especially in an awkward place, so I don't always teleport. I was lucky that when I teleported to that conference room, I didn't find myself somewhere else. That's also why I did not try to teleport when I was in that dungeon. Coupled with the fact that I was chained up.
But in this situation, I need to try. I can't stay locked in here. I look out from the window. I can see the pack’s training ground. It looks so vast. There are people training. They look young, so I guess they are young wolves. It's gonna be so much fun if I appear out of nowhere and scare them.
I close my eyes and focus on my powers. I used my power to teleport to the training ground, and luckily I didn't find myself somewhere else. Just like I expect, I scare the shit out of them. I can't help but burst into laughter as some of them scuttle away, but some who want to act brave stand dauntingly in front of me.
“Who are you?” A boy asks, pointing his spear at me.
He and a girl about his age are the only ones that stand a good distance close to me. They look ready to fight if I attack. I can see the fire in their eyes…. So fearless. I like people like them.
“I'm Dalia, daughter of the moon goddess, and I don't think that you can kill me with those things,” I reply with a smirk.
“Why would Selene’s daughter appear like a thief in the middle of our training section?” the girl asks sharply. She looks all serious. They all don't look older than fifteen. Looks like the big bad Alpha rules with brain….. training young wolves. Everyone definitely needs to know how to defend themselves. We are living in a world where war can start anytime.
“Is your tongue tied?” Another girl steps forward as she asks.
“I like kids like you guys.” I reply instead and move forward. They move back. Even though they pretend not to be scared of me, they definitely are. But I love that spirit of fierceness and challenge in them.
“Don't take another step or I will stab you with this.” the boy remarks.
“You don't prep your enemy for an attack. If you want to hurt them, hurt them quickly.” I act as if I want to jump on them, but I don't. I laugh at the little fear on their faces. They are so cute. But the fear is gone in an instant, and replaced with anger.
The first girl attacks first, I dunk and grip the spear and release fire on it as I quickly push the girl away so she won't get hurt. They gasped. I smirk, guess they haven't seen something like that.
“Are you a witch?” the other girl mutters.
“Witches don't exist.” the boy cuts in.
“They do, but I'm not one. Like I said, I'm Dalia, daughter of the moon goddess.” I snatch the boy's spear as I make a little show with it. They look awed. I smile as I pin the pointy head of the spear on the ground and spin round it as if I'm pole dancing. They gasped, looking amazed. The attention of all the young wolves in the training ground are on me as I entertain them.
I lunged forward, the spear heard slicing through the thin air. I move back and dunk, letting the spear make a spin above my head. I show them more fighting movements before I slam the spear into the ground, breathing heavily. The look of astonishment on their faces makes me smile. I'm sure they haven't seen these moves before.
“Who wants me to teach them how to fight?” I ask. A lot of them screamed ‘me’. I look at the three kids. They look hesitant. The second girl nods first before the other two do the same.
“You told us your name, but we still don't know who you are or how you suddenly appear here, and also burn my spear with fire.” the first girl says.
“Those are just powers I possess as the goddess' daughter.”
“If you are the goddess' daughter, why are you here and not with her?”
“I'm here to fulfil my destiny.” I simply replied. Of course I can't go into the details. They are just kids.
“What destiny?” Another asks.
Gosh! They are so inquisitive.
“What's going on here?” a man weaves through the small crowd. He's tall and looks a few years older than me.
“Dennis,” a blonde haired boy calls.
“Who are you?” He asks coldly.
“She said that she's Dalia, daughter of the moon goddess.” A brown skinned girl replies.
“And she's strong.” Another girl says.
The man looks at me with disdain. Looks like he doesn't like me. But what the fuck! He's just seeing me for the first time.
I'm about to say something when a voice interrupts. “Someone just fainted.”
I move quickly to the boy that fainted. I crunch my nose as I smell magic. It's so strong and it's coming from the boy. Another power I possess is a healing ability. I can heal others, but unfortunately I can't heal myself.
I try to touch the boy, but Dennis stops me. “I will take him to the doctor.”
“This is not what a doctor can handle. The boy is cursed.” I cut in. I try touching the boy to know where the curse is and take it out before it reaches his heart. He's dying, I can feel. The curse has been on his body for long. It probably must be close to his heart now. I need to know where it starts to spread around his body, and take it out from there.
Dennis ignores me and carries the boy in his arms. I didn't stop him. Besides, if I want to take this curse away, I don't need these kids here. I follow him as he runs towards the pack’s hospital. I guess he has already mind-link the doctor because he's already outside.
“What happened to him?” The doctor asks.
“He's cursed. Take him to a private room so I can take the curse away.” I reply before Dennis does.
The doctor stares at me, and looks back at Dennis. “Take him in.”
I follow them to the private room. I'm glad the doctor did as I said. He asks Dennis to wait outside.
“How did you know that he's cursed?”
“I smelled it. Why did you believe me?”
“I don't think you can just make it up. Besides, curses exist.” He simply replies and moves to remove the boy's shirt.
“But witches are extinct.”
“I don't believe that those cunning beings can go extinct.”
He takes the boy's shirt off and the curse is moving towards his chest. “Let me check.”
He gives me space as I draw the boy's pants off. I saw where the curse was. At his leg. I stare at the doctor. There's a look in his eyes. One I can't decipher.
I look back at the boy. Why did a witch curse this little boy? Even if witches exist, I don't think they can get past Ezekiel's border, talk more of cursing this boy.
Something is definitely not right.
