Chapter 94 Eiden

Chapter 94 Eiden
Eiden's POV

Arlo trained Celeste's wolf that morning, an hour after we had breakfast. Only Liam and Levi watched their battle in the backyard.

I brought ten warriors. Meanwhile, Celeste brought her driver and David.

They took turns guarding the front of the house, and Celeste made sure her driver and David didn't know what we were doing.

Arlo and I wondered why Celeste didn't want the two men to know that her wolf was strengthening itself by sparring with mine.

Come to think of it, Celeste holds many secrets that I'm not sure I'll ever find out.

Arlo didn't want to think about whether Celeste and her wolf had other motives; he was too happy and excited to fight Alea.

Yeah, another reason was that Arlo was happy to meet Alea. It made my heart ache.

"Hello, Alea," Arlo greeted Celeste's wolf gently, grinning broadly. His heart was racing.

I shook my head.

"Hello, Alpha Arlo," Alea answered casually, as Arlo had requested.

We didn't want Celeste and her wolf to speak formally and be stiff with us, even though they couldn't forget that we were Alphas.

"Are you ready to fight me on this bright morning?" Arlo glanced up at the sky.

"Yes, I'm very ready!" Alea nodded with the firmness of a warrior.

"I can't wait for this day." Alea grinned broadly. "Fighting you was so much fun. I learned so much and realized my weaknesses."

I rolled my eyes as my wolf heart beat twice as fast, almost to the point of fear that it would explode.

“I like your enthusiasm! Please keep it up,” Arlo said.

The two wolves began their fight after warming up, as Alea, a civilian, rarely trained.

I was inside my wolf, lost in thought and counting sheep.

I couldn't sleep because I had to keep an eye on my wolf. I would scold him whenever he got so engrossed in the fight that he forgot that Alea was a female and a civilian.

It was a shame Celeste and I didn't have a mind link. I wanted to talk to her so much.

I thought about Celeste, who already knew the perpetrators who were terrorizing, blocking my car, and shot me in the left ear, but she couldn't give me any details yet.

I would do as she asked. If my life were peaceful for a week without terror or anything like that, it would mean Celeste was telling the truth, and then I would wait for her to keep her promise.

I decided not to tell Beta Serena about it. He grew more suspicious of Celeste since she was able to contact the rogue assassin group.

I anticipated Beta Serena would delve deeper into Celeste in her own way.

I pulled myself out of my reverie when Arlo was shocked to get a scratch on his face.

“Whoa, you’re incredibly strong, Alea,” my wolf commented. “That’s what you have to do. You have to be able to hurt me. Don’t hesitate.”

I was amazed by Alea's fighting prowess, energy, and regeneration speed. She didn't seem like a civilian who rarely fought.

My brows furrowed. Could Celeste not be a civilian? The thought made me even more impatient to find out who she really was.

The training was over. They had adhered to the fighting rules for an hour. Liam and Levi had agreed to be angry if they broke them.

However, the two wolves didn't immediately switch bodies with Celeste and me. They chatted and played with Liam and Levi.

I smiled as I watched Levi sit on Alea's back. Meanwhile, Liam climbed on Arlo's back. They ran around the backyard, the boys' laughter booming.

As lunch approached, Celeste and I regained control of our bodies. We weren't exhausted because our bodies were regenerating quickly.

We sat in the living room, watching a television program about the struggles of a fisherman from the Black Sea Pack as he tried to catch fish and crabs.

“How about we go fishing?” I asked them with a big smile.

They looked surprised. Liam and Levi exchanged glances. Celeste watched them, curious to see what they would say to me.

“That’s a great idea,” Liam said. “We haven’t been fishing in a while.”

“Yeah, right.” Levi nodded. “Where are we going fishing, Alpha?”

I studied their faces and recalled Liam's answer.

It seemed like they often fished with Benedict, but seeing as they agreed with me meant they were no longer grieving over Benedict's death.

"Um, I haven't thought about where we're going to fish yet." I frowned. "The idea just came to me because I saw you guys enjoying that TV show so much."

Liam and Levi looked at me with sparkling eyes.

We will leave this house and return to ours this afternoon. How brief our time together will be.

“It’s the last week of fall,” Liam reminded me. “If we’re fishing in the winter, we have to find a lake that isn’t frozen.”

“Yeah, that’s right. I’m afraid the lake will crack, and we’ll fall in.” Levi hugged his arm. "I don't want to freeze." We chuckled.

I gave a slight shake of my head when the nightmare resurfaced in my thoughts, the memory of being hunted by rabid dogs.

I stepped carefully across the frozen lake, but my efforts were futile, and I eventually plunged into the freezing water.

I shuddered at the thought of that nightmare coming true.

“How about we go fishing in that pond?” I asked them.

“But there are no fish there,” Levi replied with a confused expression.

I scratched my head with an embarrassed grin. How stupid of me.

Celeste turned her face away to hide her smile.

Liam stared at me, demanding that I turn the swimming pool into a fish pond.

“Don’t worry, kids,” I said. “I’ll order my warriors to buy live fish and then put them in the swimming pool. Just trust them.”

I was relieved to have solved the problem in less than five minutes.

"I'll order the other warriors to buy everything we need for fishing," I added.

I hurriedly ordered six warriors, and the other four remained to guard the house.

"Alpha Eiden." Celeste suddenly called out to me and stared intently at me. I was nervously anticipating what she would say. "I apologize for not discussing this with you first."

I raised an eyebrow. "Tell me."

“I got Liam a phone,” Celeste said. “I thought it was time.”

Celeste fixed Liam with a serious look. “Liam, you need to be wise about your phone. Don’t let it take over your time. Do you understand?”

“Yes, Mommy. I’ll use my phone when I really need it.” Liam nodded obediently.

“Don’t forget about Levi. Keep playing with him,” I advised Liam.

“No, I won’t.” Liam shook his head.

“I’ll get Liam’s phone from my room.” Celeste dashed up to the second floor.

“You saved my number,” I told Liam. “We can call and video call on your phone.”

“Yes.” Liam nodded in agreement.

A second later, sadness hit me. Would Celeste never want to text or call me again after this?
