Chapter 85 Eiden

Chapter 85 Eiden
Eiden's POV

My wolf trained with Gamma Nolan's wolf for an hour. Then, after a thirty-minute break, he fought Beta Serena's wolf.

It was an exciting spectacle for the warriors. They also got to stretch their muscles, as my wolf and his opponent claimed the entire front yard.

We were confident our enemies were questioning why my wolf was sparring with both a Beta and a Gamma. It wasn’t like him to face two wolves in one day.

My wolf battles the Gamma's wolf every three days, and the Beta's wolf twice a week.

This afternoon, I'll be staying with Celeste, Liam, and Levi at our new home.

The next morning, my wolf will be training Celeste's wolf.

Therefore, my wolf fought Beta Serena’s wolf at a relatively relaxed pace. It wasn’t easy for either of them to use only half their strength.

“Don’t worry, Alpha.” Beta Serena reassured me. “I’m sure your wolf can control his powers. She won’t be seriously injured.”

Beta Serena quickly forgot that my wolf had injured her wolf’s shoulders. That’s because my wolf always gets excited when fighting, whether it’s enemies or friends.

“I hope so.” I shrugged. My wolf snorted, annoyed that I doubted him. “Arlo should fight civilians.”

“Please forget that stupid idea, Alpha.” Beta Serena smiled, placing her hands together in front of her chest. “No one will want to fight your wolf.”

I sighed as I put my hands in my pockets. My gaze fell on the wolf warriors training.

“You’re so worried about getting her hurt.” Beta Serena smiled mockingly at me.

“Only a wolf without a heart wouldn’t fear hurting someone beneath their level, especially when she’s female.” I clicked my tongue, my gaze cutting sharply toward Beta Serena.

“Yeah, I know that, Alpha.” Beta Serena chuckled.

“I’m glad you think so, Alpha.” Her brows knitted together as a wolf was knocked out and fell in front of us. “You remind your wolf when he starts enjoying the fight.”

“Of course I will.” I nodded.

“I won’t let him enjoy his fight with Celeste's wolf,” I spoke in a low voice so no one would hear.

I was done for the day. Any emails that arrived after 3 PM could wait until tonight.

I wouldn't cut down on my time with Celeste and her two sons. Besides, it was Saturday—I should be off if a leader's schedule followed the same rules as his employees.

Ten warriors escorted me. Four were in the front car, one was driving the car I was in, and five were in the back.

The fifty houses were completely encircled by trees, giving the impression of a dense forest from the outside. It was an ideal hiding place.

There were no inspections of us, the car, or our luggage. The guards merely scanned my access card, confirming my status as a resident. Celeste, Liam, and Levi had cards of their own, too.

My warriors were allowed in because they came with me. Celeste brought her driver and David.

The license plates of cars heading into the housing complex had to be covered with cardboard or something to keep people from finding out about us.

Many were curious about the residents of those fifty houses.

Celeste, Liam, and Levi were already there. They’d gone on the house tour without me. That was fine.

When I entered the house, they were sitting in the main living room waiting for me.

“What about this house? Do you like it?” I asked, my heart thudding loudly in my chest.

They had seen it in pictures and videos, but seeing it in person was different.

“I like it,” Liam said, speaking up first.

Liam looked around, his eyes sparkling. “My bedroom and playroom are spacious. The backyard is beautiful, even though it’s small, and the swimming pool is quite long.”

“I agree.” Levi nodded twice. “The stairs are beautiful.” He pointed toward the gold staircase runner near the clean kitchen. "So fun climbing it."

“Levi likes the paintings,” Liam told me.

I smiled at his words. Levi eagerly climbed the stairs, drawn to the runner rug and the paintings.

“I put our painting and the one you guys like on it,” I explained. I glanced briefly at Celeste and then whispered to the two boys. “Do you like it?”

“Yes!” Liam and Levi replied enthusiastically, jumping up and down.

Meanwhile, Celeste blushed, refusing to meet my gaze.

Celeste was surprised to see a painting of herself painted by us on the wall. Despite that, she didn't ask me to take it down.

"I want to paint something besides Mommy." Levi was drawn back to painting. He looked at Liam and pointed to the ladder. "You have so many paintings. Just hang them all up there."

Liam's cheeks flushed. He glanced shyly at Celeste and me, knowing we agreed with Levi, and squeezed his hand. "I'll think about which painting to hang there."

"Just everything."

"No way. I have to leave something in my room at our house," Liam said. He seemed confused by the use of the term "our house."

“This is our home too.” What Liam was worried about happened. Levi was confused because they had two homes now.

"I mean the house we live in with Mommy." Liam stared intently at Levi. His face looked panicked, wondering what would happen if Levi didn't understand.

"Oh. I see." Levi nodded twice, his eyes wide.

My eyes met Celeste’s. Tension tightened her expression before she gave me a small smile, washing away whatever emotion she’d been holding back.

"What do you think? Is it what you imagined?" I spread my arms as if I were pointing to every part of the house.

Celeste’s gaze moved from the kitchen to the dining room, the living room, and even the ceiling, quietly mapping out the rooms upstairs in her mind.

“I love the architecture, the layout, and the decor.” Her wide smile pierced straight through my heart.

“I didn’t have much of a choice.” My gaze dropped to the floor and the chairs in the clean kitchen. “This was the last house left, and I rushed to buy all the furniture.”

“It’s okay,” Celeste shook her head. “The important thing is that we have a home and everything we need is there.”

Celeste further reassured me with a joke, saying, "All that furniture came quickly so we wouldn't be sleeping and eating on the floor."

I couldn’t help but laugh at Liam and Levi’s laughter.

The family room was on the second floor. We went upstairs.

I was surprised to find that they had put their clothes in the closet in their room.

My heart was beating so hard I was afraid they'd hear it.

This house was ours, just like Celeste said.

My only hope was that they would be comfortable living here with me.

Yet the hope I’d tried so hard to bury slowly crept back to life. Maybe I could draw closer to them and claim Celeste as my mate once more.
