Chapter 79 Celeste

Chapter 79 Celeste
Celeste's POV

We ate breakfast together. I was so happy to see my loved ones enjoying my food.

Oh, Moon Goddess. Why did I say that? There's Alpha Eiden in this dining room, and he's enjoying his breakfast.

I hoped my cheeks weren't turning red.

Don’t get me wrong. Alpha Eiden is my son’s father, and he treats him well, but that doesn’t make me love him.

Okay. Let's not talk about it anymore. I don't want to hear my wolf's taunts.

We would be leaving this hotel before lunch. We couldn't stay here long.

Many rogue intel already know about us, but I still won't tell Alpha Eiden.

If Alpha Eiden didn't trust me or had the slightest suspicion of me, he would have taken the message from that unknown number seriously.

Alpha Eiden truly considers my two sons and me to be clueless civilians. He's not even confused about how I managed to contact a group of rogue assassins.

“Liam.” Alpha Eiden called out to Liam, who was sitting next to him. His Adam's apple bobbed, and he scratched the back of his neck.

“Yes, Alpha.” Liam stared at him intently, his back straight.

I waited for Alpha Eiden to say something.

“I apologize to you. I realize I made a bad first impression on you,” Alpha Eiden said after taking a deep breath.

“I made you afraid of me.” Alpha Eiden lowered his head for a moment before looking back at Liam with determination in his blue eyes.

“I can’t turn back time. Therefore, I will continue to try to show you that I’m not scary.” Alpha Eiden couldn’t form his words properly.

I held back a smile. He was truly nervous and embarrassed. We understood it wasn’t easy for him to express his deepest thoughts.

“I understand.” Liam nodded, a faint smile spreading across his face, which closely resembled his biological father’s. “I know you’re… not as scary as I imagined.”

Alpha Eiden grimaced as he nodded twice. “Tell me if I… make you uncomfortable. Yeah, whatever it is.” He shrugged.

“I… don’t feel that way anymore.” Liam shook his head. He glanced at me briefly. “I’ll let you know.”

They fell silent. It seemed they were rethinking their conversation.

That day, Alpha Eiden was a little different.

Before breakfast, he apologized to me for rejecting me, forgetting about me, and never thinking I would be pregnant with his child.

After breakfast, he apologized to Liam.

I won’t question what drove him to finally say the words he had wanted to keep buried for the rest of his life.

“I’ve already told my elders about you and Liam.”

Alpha Eiden stood next to me as I was packing my two sons' backpacks in front of the room. The boys were watching a movie in the living room.

“They’re very chatty. They’re asking why I go to the rogue clan so often,” Alpha Eiden added with an annoyed expression.

“They promised me they’d keep our secret.” Alpha Eiden reassured me.

“It’s okay.” I nodded with a smile. “They’ll definitely want to meet Liam.”

“Yes.” Alpha Eiden nodded. “They’ll be patient. They know I’m still fighting for Liam’s heart.”

I don't need to worry as long as the elders in Alpha Eiden's pack don't force Liam to come to their residence or announce that their Alpha has an heir without anyone's consent.

'Celeste,' my wolf echoed in my head.

'When are you going to talk to Alpha Eiden about me wanting to train with his wolf? Don't tell me you've changed your mind!' My wolf roared.

'I don’t know how to say it.' I glanced at Alpha Eiden, who was making coffee in the kitchen.

'You can say it,' my wolf said. 'He and his wolf won’t refuse. Trust me.' Her self-confidence was really high.

'You’re so fed up with Beta Dylan.' My wolf reminded me why she had that crazy idea. 'You can’t fight him, so just leave it to me. I can defeat his wolf.'

I took a deep breath, clenched my fists, and exhaled quickly, then unclenched them.

My feet walked quickly but calmly toward Alpha Eiden. I didn't want my two sons to hear us. I'd be embarrassed if he and his wolf refused my and my wolf's request.

"Alpha Eiden." I smiled broadly at him, hiding my pounding heart. It felt like I was facing my client.

“Yes. Do you need my help?” Alpha Eiden raised an eyebrow as he held his cup of hot coffee.

“I—”

“Let’s sit down and talk,” Alpha Eiden cut me off. A moment later, we sat down side by side.

Alpha Eiden stared at me deeply as if he were trying to read my mind. I wasn’t intimidated, really.

“My wolf wants to train with your wolf.” I couldn’t make small talk, or rather, I didn’t know what to say to start this conversation.

“Why?” He asked me a difficult question.

“My wolf wants to be strong,” I replied. “She wants to be able to protect my sons and me.”

Please, don’t ask any more questions, and don’t remind me that we have David. Of course, I said it in my head.

“My wolf and I are impressed by how much you and your wolf love your two sons.” Alpha Eiden smiled broadly at me, enhancing his already handsome features. I blushed at his sincere compliment.

“My wolf is willing to train your wolf,” Alpha Eiden spoke casually, without a single frown on his face. Nothing was bothering him.

“We’ll move into that house next week. Our wolves can train there every morning,” Alpha Eiden said casually. “What do you think?”

“We agree.” I nodded with a relieved smile.

'I told you he wouldn’t mind our request,' my wolf said. 'Ah, I don’t want to wait. I want to start today.'

Alpha Eiden and his wolf didn’t know my wolf’s main reason. Well, he didn’t need to know, because I was at a loss to explain it to him.

After lunch, we checked out and left the hotel.

We didn't leave together. Alpha Eiden waited until my two sons and I were far away from the hotel before getting into his car.

Our time together was very short, but Liam and Levi didn't mind that because they enjoyed playing with Alpha Eiden and his wolf and considered it a refreshing vacation.

We love staying at the base, but there are times when we want to be somewhere with a different atmosphere, with people who don't just think about work.

“Eliot.” Levi waved at Delta Giana’s son, who was sitting in the yard.

Liam and Levi were playing with Eliot in the playroom, never tired of it. That’s how children should spend their days.

Beta Dylan entered my office with a flash drive in his hand, two minutes after I sat down.

“You look radiant,” Beta Dylan said sarcastically. “Are you happy to meet that guy? How stupid of you to like a guy who belittles you.”

I didn't respond to his words.

'You don't need to fight him. I'll finish off the wolf.' My wolf lifted her chin. It seemed it had forgotten it was a she-wolf.
