Chapter 22
ALPHA LENNON
I furiously banged the table out of anger and frustration. My useless men stood with their heads hung down before me. The feeling of being not able to do anything or know about the whereabouts of Daphne, my only true mate, was slowly eating my soul out. Every night, I went to bed with her thoughts in mind, and when the sun rose each day the sour feeling in the pit of my gut only seemed to grow to make me restless.
I was on my mission to conquer the world and satisfy the fire of anger and betrayal burning inside my chest. In these past few months, I had already changed my lifestyle to an extremely different one. A rebel was making its way into my head. This in turn made me do everything the opposite as my father had always wanted me to behave.
Argh! That man. Whenever I thought about him—or anyone else started a conversation regarding this man—only fueled my hatred towards him. Somehow, my mind thought that they didn’t suffer much. I took their lives most easily and had no time to get my revenge.
All my life, he dictated to my rules and made me walk on his pre-made plans for my future. I was so blinded by my loyalty to the Alpha who happened to be my father at the same time that I even let go of my Daphne and agreed to make Alaine the only Luna.
On the day of the ceremony, I could see the spark from Daphne’s eyes missing. She loved me! More than anyone could.
Especially more than that cheating lying slt Alaine. My Daphne would have never let any other man touch her. Even if it was Alpha Darius trying to make his way with her. But now I lost her. I lost her due to my foolishness.
My pulse in my cheek twitched from anger as I thought more about the way my father ruined my life. The most painful part was to keep their deed hidden and buried deep inside my heart. It was getting difficult day by day as everyone mourned their deaths.
The most troublesome person to handle till now had been Beta Jaime who demanded all the information about the rogue attack. He had also claimed to not smell any different scent in the room other than mine and those two cheaters. I had somehow managed his calm by claiming the rogues used some magical potion to keep their scents hidden and had to behead one wolf from the wild to prove the matter was taken into hands. It was then he kept his guard down and didn’t doubt me for anything.
“Now stop looking at the ground and do your work properly! Remember this is the last chance. You either find Daphne and live a luxurious life or I will behead you before the pack! Move out of my face!”
The soldiers immediately bowed down at me and without uttering a single word ran out of my chamber.
I flattened the curled-up map on my table and counted the new territories I had recently acquired under my rule. Leaving college was the best decision I took. A mere degree was much more useless than creating a strong empire of my own to rule for ages. I planned to get at least five hundred packs of the north under me. I was close to 300 now but there was a need for better planning and more practice.
Even though I might agree that Beta Jaime had been a great warrior and an advisor, I could still sense his low interest in the working of the soldiers. I grabbed the maps and my sword from the hanger to his chamber.
It was weeks ago when I told him that we would attack the Silver Moon pack in a month and he still hadn’t started the preparation for the war.
As I made my way across the pack house, my heavy footsteps crunched the snow under my feet. A lamp was lit at the entrance of his chamber and the darkness followed throughout the hallway.
With full authority as an Alpha, I walked inside his chamber with my head high. The place was too calm and I would have thought that he was fast asleep if it was not for the moans coming out of the bedroom.
The panting and sound of skin clapping echoed in the chamber. I gulped down the saliva forming in my throat. Without thinking anything else, my feet began walking on their own inside his room. I hid behind the curtain to get a better view of what was happening before my eyes.
Beta Jaime was lying on the bed with his back pressed on the mattress while his wife Yvette was riding him up and down making lots of noise in the process. Her massive round breasts jumped in every direction and her erected nipples demanded attention which Beta Jaime gave as his hands covered them both.
Her face was dotted with beads of sweat as the blush lingered on her cheek. The smell of her heat and the sex made my wolf hungry. For a split second, I could see Alaine naked in front of me but then it got back to her mother’s face. This was the first time I noticed how identical both mother and daughter looked to each other. The longer I looked at her, the more I could make out Alaine’s face in hers. Just because of her sounds and the way she screamed when she was about to come, I could feel myself getting all excited.
Before it was too late, I walked out of their cabin immediately. On my way out, I couldn’t hide the redness from my face as one of the soldiers looked at me with a funny expression.
It took me forever to reach my cabin but as soon as I put my feet inside my room, I sighed heavily. The images of Yvette wouldn’t leave me alone. The worst fact was that I could now clearly see the older Alaine in her face whenever I closed my eyes.
My wolf growled inside my chest making me aware that he missed the intimacy. We needed a mate or at least someone who could warm our beds.
A big grin fell on my lips as I imagined Yvette riding me while I called her all the absurd names. I didn’t feel any regret or shame while thinking about her. After all, her daughter slept with my father.
“I am going to make your mother my sex slave. This is the only way my heart will be at peace. This is revenge for your disloyalty!” I shouted in the empty room, wanting to make Alaine listen to all these things I was going to do.
A knock interrupted my deadly plan and I composed myself in a calm posture. With steady steps, I opened the door only to reveal one of my other men who I had sent to gather information about Daphne.
“I hope it's positive news for your well-being…” I said before he could say something.
“Alpha Lennon I wasn’t able to trace her but I know a very important thing related to her.” The man replied.
“Come on, speak up. What’s it?” I was growing restless because any news about Daphne was always important to me.
“It’s that her school records have been pulled out and transferred to Central Groove University,” he said.
I grew extremely happy at the little information I could get about her. I asked the man to leave and began pondering over the fact who was helping her.
