Chapter 72 Breakfast.
Chapter 72 Breakfast.
Bella’s pov.
“Baby… you know I can’t do that. It’s not that I don’t want to. I just know we aren’t ready for that. We need to have the mating ceremony and everything first…” he said slowly, grabbing my face as I tried to turn it away, “that doesn’t mean I don’t want you, that I don’t want my mark to sit on your pretty little neck…”
He ran his nose along my collar bone before he brought it up my neck all the way to my earlobe, nibbling on it a little before looking at me again.
“I- I love you, Bella. I’ve been in love with you for a while. Don’t take this the wrong way. I just want to do this right… Can we please? Let’s plan the mating ceremony first thing in the morning. Okay?” He said softly, kissing my lips, my forehead and both cheeks before waiting for my answer.
“Yes. Let’s do it. I cannot wait any longer,” I said breathlessly, pulling his head down and kissing him passionately.
••••
I opened my eyes. Immediately looking beside me to make sure John was still there.
His back was turned towards me but I could see the soft falls of his body as he breathed.
I smiled to myself as I thought of last night.
The ache in between my legs is evidence enough.
‘I want to do it again, and again. Everyday, all day,’ Tundra suddenly said, making me shake my head at her.
‘Do you have to be so vulgar all of the time? Obviously I want him too but everyday all day? That’s a little much…’ I said back to her, knowing we wouldn’t be able to do that.
“John?” I said softly, placing my hand on his shoulder, “John, wake up!”
He jolted awake, jumping up while looking around frantically, “what is it? What happened!?”
I laughed a little at his reaction, wondering why he thought something was wrong.
“Nothing, we just have to get up and start planning our mating ceremony. There’s lots to do… we have to figure out who is going to be in charge of decorating, and pick out the colours and theme we want before we can even do that!”I rushed out, already feeling so overwhelmed at all of the things needed, “then there’s the food. Lots and lots of food! We’ll be in charge of every single invitation… We have to choose who we want to attend and who we want them to bring, and how many people they can bring, including their kids. If we want to mark each other in front of everyone. If we want the warriors to be taking shorter shifts to be able to attend even if it’s only an hour… we have so much to think about John. We should probably start now.”
He looked at me with wide eyes, nodding his head slowly as if he had no words to say.
“But… Bella,” he started to say, his eyes exhausted.
I opened my mouth, but remembered something.
I promised Megan we’d spend the day together with John…
“We- we can’t do that unless we do it here. I promised Megan we’d spend the day with her, but she can listen to us while we plan? It shouldn’t be a problem, I don’t think…” I mumbled the last part, wondering how our day is going to go today.
“That should be fine, Bell. I’d love to spend the day together with Megan, and maybe she can give us her opinions on everything, she should be included,” he said while smiling over at me, a smile instantly lighting up my face after he spoke.
“Let’s go to the kitchen, I’ll start breakfast and we’ll just try our best not to wake her up and we won’t start the main planning without her!” I said genuinely excited, for what felt like the first time… “I can’t wait to get the ball rolling with this. I want to tell everyone who’s my mate. I’m so happy it’s you, John. You make me feel realistic, free…”
“I’m glad you feel that way,” he mumbled with a sheepish smile, looking around at everything in my room, “I’ll move in here with you, I just hope it’s not too confusing for Megan. Just let me know what I should do.”
I nodded my head before walking towards the kitchen, not sure what to say to that question.
Megan… she’ll be fine.
She loves John anyways…
I’m sure she’ll get used to the idea of us being together and John being here everyday.
She has to…
I shook my head as if that could get rid of my thoughts, turning on the water as I mixed some pancakes together.
Megan’s favourite.
“Why do you look so… scared?” John asked me suddenly, making me jump a little as I found myself so caught up in my thoughts.
“I’m just worried… about Megan. And what she thinks about all of this, she’s just a kid. I don’t want to make her life any more confusing,” I mumbled, flipping the pancakes before looking up at him, “she’s my whole world, I love her endlessly and I just want her to be happy.”
John nodded his head thoughtfully while he watched me moving around.
“You are a good mom, Bella. Always remember that. She’ll be fine, I love that little firecracker. She’s an amazing little person. Her attitude and personality… They are one of a kind. We’ll raise her right, together. She’ll feel that it’s right, that we are all connected some way or another. I accept her as my own pup, Bell,” he said softly, my eyes widening with every word he said, “I want to help you, I want to be her dad.”
I opened my mouth, wanting to find the right words to say but… I wasn’t sure what to say to him.
“Don’t say anything, not yet. Just think everything over, make sure you want me as involved as I want to be… and make sure Megan is ready for that,” he whispered, kissing my forehead before walking towards the couch and sitting down.
“Hun! Breakfast is ready!” I called out to Megan, trying not to think too much about what John had said.
I’m ready, but I have to put Megan first.
