Chapter twenty - The Blood Warriors

[ALPHA SNOW]

I've been on my way back to the pack for almost a week now.

I have been running the whole damn time since that monster took away my baby girl.

My little Raven was all I could think of. Is she safe? Is he treating her right?

I swear to Moon Goddess herself that I shall kill him with my bare hands if he touches even a hair on her head.

That is if my mate won't kill me after finding out that our only daughter has been taken away by no one else than Alpha Azrael fucking Valentino.

I know that I need only a few more hours to reach the destination. Only a few hours to see my mate, to see our family, our pack. Few more hours until we announce war against that little shit Valentino. I will get my daughter away from him, even if that will cost my life. Worth it. As all those thoughts kept rushing through my mind, I didn't notice how I was running faster than ever before.

Soon I reached borderline to where my packs territory starts. We own a lot of lands, our pack is pretty impressive, yet all other Alphas think that we are the "Blue moon" pack. Hiding sometimes isn't that bad; they won't expect Blood Warriors to rise once again. I crossed the territory line and instantly felt eyes on me. Good, they're keeping their guards up. After a few hundred meters I ran, I heard growling from all around me, ah, surrounding me. Great plan, taking out any threat before any damage is done. I'm pretty impressed with how good my mate has been managing so far.

"Well, well, well, is that how you greet your Alpha now?"

I mind-linked the warriors around me. That made them all get out of their positions and bow in front of me. In a moment, I was tucked down by an enormous wolf — no-one else than my best friend, Kaiden.

"Holy fucking shit, bro, I missed you so much! Where is your little girl, everyone has been remarkably eager to meet her lately! It's her birthday tomorrow. Oh, man Luna will be so damn happy to finally see you bet you two will get stuck in the bedroom for a month or even a year."

To say that he was just excited would be wrong. This man could seriously pee his pants from the joy he was feeling now.

"Get off of me first; I shall explain everything on our way to the packhouse."

He instantly stepped back away from me so that I could get up. Some of the guards have shifted already and dressed up. One of them handed me a bag of clothes. Some things don't change; we always tend to keep bags of clothing for wolves shifting around here, just in case of need.

I nodded to the guard and shifted back to my human form.

"Thank you. And good job guys, I'm impressed," I could see the pride appearing on their faces. There is nothing more important for a warrior than approval from his Alpha.

"Keep up with a good job, boys; we will meet at the dinner," I spoke and started slowly walking to the packhouse. My best friend has shifted to his human form also so that we can have our conversation.

"So what's up, Alpha? Where's kiddo?" He didn't want to lose a second; he needed answers. Nosy, as always.

"I had to come alone. We're getting ready for war," I spoke coldly.

"Wow, what's wrong with you? You left to avoid any war and to protect your pack. What has changed? Also, against whom are we going then?" questions, questions, I have a feeling that there will be lots more from where they just came from.

"Azrael Valentino," I didn't want to explain anything in detail until we would be in my cabinet.

"Have you lost your mind? I mean, we are strong, a lot stronger than any other pack, we have more wolves here also, yet it's crazy to go against him. Everyone knows that man is crazy; he won't stop. Why the hell have you decided to go against him?" I could sense the tone of worry in his voice.

Of course, we all know a lot about Valentino, but I don't care. I have to get my daughter home, where she belongs.

"He took Ren," I whispered under my breath.

"Wait; what? I think I heard something wrong. You didn't just say that the fucker has taken your only pup, right?" he spoke fast, there was no worry in his voice anymore, only hate and anger building inside of him.

"You heard me," I said through gritted teeth.

"Oh fuck no, Valentino is about to get his ass kicked," Kaiden almost screamed.

"She's his mate," I said as I sighed.

"Our soon to be Alpha doesn't deserve such a punishment as him. We will help you to get her back, bud. I promise you that!" he said as we finally reached the packhouse.

The main door swung open, and my beautiful mate ran right into my arms. She smashed her lips against mine as her life would depend on it.

"I missed you. I missed you so, so, so much," my Luna cried against my chest. I didn't say a word; I know her, and I shouldn't talk now. She would see me talking as ruining the moment.

She kissed me again, but as her lips left mine, her palm came in contact with my face.

"What the hell was that for?" I asked in confusion.

"Kiss was for missing you so much; the slap was for letting him take our child. Let's get inside; we have to think of a plan," she said and grabbed my hand, rushing into the packhouse.

Feisty, strong, independent, and straight forward, as always - God, I missed this woman. I missed her so damn much.
