Chapter 127 part 3

Chapter 127 part 3
Today is Alpha Anthony's 125th birthday, a grand occasion where royals and dignitaries from all corners of the supernatural—and even the human—world bring gifts in his honor. The servants and butlers are working tirelessly, ensuring the room is immaculate and that guests have a place to freshen up before the festivities begin. Alpha Anthony is preparing himself, donning his regal suit and making sure his hair is perfectly combed, presenting the image of a distinguished and handsome man.
Yet, beneath the surface, Anthony feels a familiar ache; his heart longs for Kathy to be by his side with their children, as they used to be. He hopes she will appear, hoping for a reunion on this special day. As he finishes getting ready, there's a gentle knock on the door, signaling the beginning of what could be a memorable celebration.
Anthony straightened up, his anticipation mounting as he called out, “Come in,” his voice steady though his heart raced. The door opened slowly, revealing the first guest who would help set the tone for the evening’s festivities.
Miles came in the room, wearing a blue suit and he hair is also comb
“It’s been so long Alpha,”
“Miles, my friend, I am happy you could join me on this special day,” Anthony replied warmly, a genuine smile breaking through his earlier nerves. He extended his hand in greeting, grateful for the comforting presence of an old companion.
“Anthony, you know I will never miss your birthday. Sarah is talking to your mother and father. I told her she can stay home, but she insisted on coming.” Miles chuckled softly, his eyes reflecting the warmth of longstanding friendship. “She wanted to make sure you know how much you mean to us.”
“I am almost done,”
“Before I came upstairs, I see royal being their unmated daughters,”
“I don’t know why they are coming,”
As both men are talking, Anthony didn’t know that Kathy enter the kingdom with gifts, wearing her blue dress and shoes that match, having her hair pin up and wearing nice earring and light makeup before she went outside she put the gifts on the table with the other gifts. She put hers on the table before going outside to see Lord Frances and Queen Vanessa outside with the guesses. Sarah turns around to see Kathy walking downstairs with her walking to her.
“Kathy! I missed you,”
“Look at you, with a pup on the way,”
“Yes, I ready to give birth. Our son has been kicking me all night. How about you?”
“I was alright and the babies are doing well, so are my parents,”
“That good, Miles is with Anthony upstairs. Are you okay being here?”
“Yes, I am. I left the gifts on the table before I came outside,”
Sarah and Kathy continued their conversation, laughter occasionally bubbling between them as they stood in the warm evening light. Miles soon emerged from the house, leaving Anthony upstairs to finish getting ready. Smiling, Miles walked over and greeted Kathy warmly, expressing his happiness to see her. Suddenly, Kathy felt a strange sensation in her chest she tried to ignore, brushing it off as if nothing important.
Meanwhile, far away, The Moon Goddess sat quietly, sipping her tea as she observed the scene. With a gentle gesture, she began to loosen the mate bond connecting Kathy and Anthony, silently watching how their connection would shift and change.
The vampire used the shadow because the sun can burned him so he look around to not see the guards or servants because everyone was too busy with Anthony party so with the syringe in his hand. He see that Anthony has his balcony door open this is his change to used vampire blood to make Anthony weak.
Anthony finished getting ready and glanced at himself in the mirror, making sure everything was perfect. He left his balcony door open, letting the cool evening air fill the room, and took a deep breath. Suddenly, he felt someone come up behind him—their grip tight around his neck. Before he could react, a sharp pain followed as something was injected into his bloodstream. Anthony fought to twist free, swinging at the figure, but when he spun around, he locked eyes with a man whose red eyes glowed menacingly. The stranger flashed a wicked grin, exposing sharp fangs, then leaped off the balcony and disappeared into the woods below.
Stunned, Anthony stumbled back into his room, his heart racing. On the floor, he spotted the syringe, a small amount of red liquid still inside. He stared at it, uncertain and fearful—he had no idea what the man had just injected him with. With his birthday is going on, he has to act normal just put the syringe into his draw and leave his room and closed the door as he is walking downstairs toward the back door. Robert makes an announcement to get everyone an attention.
“Everyone, Prince Anthony is here,”
As Anthony stepped through the back door, a round of applause erupted from the gathered guests, bright faces turning toward him. His parents immediately moved through the crowd, their eyes alight with pride and affection. They each hugged him tightly, exchanging a few quiet words that made Anthony’s smile seem genuine and easy. Kathy watched him from across the lawn—he looked happy, his laughter ringing out among the well-wishers, but she couldn’t shake the odd feeling prickling at the back of her mind. Something about the way his eyes darted, how his smile lingered a moment too long, set her nerves on edge.
Miles and Sarah were next to greet Anthony, each offering a warm embrace and cheerful congratulations. Around them, members of the royal families mingled, daughters in graceful dresses offering bright smiles as they curtsied politely to Anthony. The air buzzed with conversation and excitement, but Kathy ’s attention flickered nervously to a group of unmated men. Their lingering glances made her shift, discomfort settling in her stomach. Despite the celebration, Kathy ’s sense of unease grew stronger, and she couldn’t help but keep her eyes fixed on Anthony, searching for reassurance in his every move.
Anthony found himself surrounded by the chatter of royal families, their daughters vying for his attention and drawing him away from his own circle. He forced easy smiles and polite conversation, all the while feeling increasingly isolated from those he cared about most. Suddenly, a familiar scent—a blend of apple spice and brown sugar—drifted through the air, instantly snapping him from the polite facade. Turning, he spotted Kathy standing alone, her presence grounding him amid the chaos.
Max noticed Anthony’s sudden change, following his gaze to Kathy as she walked over to the table. She reached for a snack, but before she could grab anything, a man approached and lightly touched her hand. The gesture was subtle, yet it sent a surge of anger through Anthony; his protective instincts flared as he watched the exchange, unable to ignore the uneasy feeling that had been growing inside him.
Kathy P.O.V
Kathy reached for a plate, her stomach grumbling as she realized she hadn’t eaten anything yet. She was about to select a snack when a man’s hand unexpectedly brushed hers. Startled, Kathy quickly pulled her hand away, turning to face him. He was dressed impeccably, bearing an air of confidence that suggested he was likely one of the royal sons.
“Hi name is Ian Wilde. Are you unmated?”
“No, I am happy mate, and have three children,”
Kathy eyes turn from her crystal blue eyes to purple and smiles at the man then to scare him but it seems that it not working. Then he grabs her wrist.
“You don’t scare me. Plus, I don’t see a mark on your pretty neck,”
“Let go of me before you end up on the ground and it’s won’t be pretty,”
“You wouldn’t dared,”
With a smile on her face, grab a cupcake on the table and smash it in his face and push him away from her, making him fall on the ground as everyone turns around to see what was going around. Then his mother came over to help her son off the ground until her eyes meet her right away bows to Kathy.
“Kathy, it’s nice to meet you. I am sorry that my son causes you some problem he doesn’t mean it,”
“It’s okay, Mrs. Wilde, your son did no harm,”
“Mother, who is she?”
“Her name is Kathy, she is the daughter of Grace and Seth,”
Kathy watches as Mrs. Wilde took her son away from her and she wipes her hand with a napkin. That made Anthony breaks away from everyone else and walked over to her as she was eating a brand-new cupcake but not look mess. Until a shadow blocks her light, she looks up to see Anthony standing there in front of her. She can feel her heart racing in her chest, seeing his golden eyes that she loved so much.
“Hello, my name Anthony, and yours?
“It’s Kathy, my prince,”
“Thank you for coming to my birthday party,”
“Yes, my father thinks it best for me to get out of the house,”
“If you can stay a little longer, we can talk some more,”
“Oh, Okay,”
Kathy kept staring at Anthony as he smiled at her, making her cheeks flush with warmth. When he finally walked away toward his parents, she released a breath she didn’t realize she was holding. The party continued around her, but Kathy felt a bit lost, unsure of what to do next—especially since she knew she would have to talk to Anthony, probably alone, before the day was over. She knows that she has to talk to Maria, so she has to leave before Anthony wouldn’t notice it. She checks her watch and it was time she has to leave so quietly she walk up to Anthony.
“Prince Anthony, I have to go, my daughter Melody is not feeling well. We can talk some other time,”
“Don’t worry about, go and take care of your daughter,”
“Thank you, and Happy birthday,”
Kathy went inside and headed for the front door. When she turned back, she saw Anthony looking at her with a smile, and her heart tightened because she knew she could not be with him. The guard opened the door, and she walked down the steps just as someone pulled up with her car. Once inside, she shut the door and drove away. The vampire lands were only a three-hour drive from Lycan territory. Before leaving, she noticed a small mark on Anthony’s neck, like a needle puncture. Still driving, she pressed the button to call her father and heard his voice through the phone.
“Kathy, I was just about to call you,” her father said, his voice urgent through the phone. “Someone is here to see you.”
“I know, Dad. I’m on my way to see Maria. I need to find out who Melody’s father is, and I think Maria is hiding the truth.”
“Yes, I know, just be careful because you don’t know what she can do while behind a cell,”
“I will,”
Before Kathy could hang up the phone, she called her father one time.
“Dad, have someone watch Anthony for me,”
“Why sweetie?”
“Something is not right with him I can’t my finger on it,”
“I will have my men keep eyes on him,”
“Thank you,”
Kathy pressed down on the pedal, eager to get home faster. She took the dirt road, knowing it would be quicker than the main road. Queen Raine had warned her that magic could not be used inside the building where Maria was being held.
