Chapter 33 Chapter 33

Chapter 33 Chapter 33
ELENA'S POV:

When I stepped out of the guestroom corridor and approached the living room, Mark and his parents around the dining table stopped discussing. They looked at me as I strode to the dining table to join them.

"Is the meal ready?" I asked, seeing it was past 9 p.m. on the clock.

"Sure," Zara replied, breaking the awkward silence.

I plopped on the silver chair next to Mark. I extended my right hand to touch his thighs and pinched him slightly.

Mark stiffened, but his lips remained tightly shut. His jaw clenched.

Mr. Felix Elliot cleared his throat and said, "Elena, I am glad that you can control the media. You did a great job tonight."

"Thank you, sir," I smiled, meeting Mr. Felix's gaze as he sat across from me.

"I will do everything within my power to ensure that your mother doesn't go to jail," he said, his tone firm as a maid stepped out of the kitchen to serve us dinner.

"Alright, sir," I replied. The dining table fell silent as I joined them in eating dinner.

MARTHA'S POV:

Mr. Weston drove his black car ahead, passing an estate gate, and I wondered where he was taking me to.

"Sir? Where are you taking me?" I asked anxiously. Knowing that I was seated with a werewolf in his car, I was afraid, hoping that he would not drink my blood or eat my bones.

"Martha," Mr. Weston said, his lips curled up in a smile as he said, "Relax, I am not going to harm you. I am taking you to my house. You know that I have a personal home, apart from my private suite at the restaurant."

"Sure. I know that you do come to work at the restaurant. But I did not know you live there too or have a suite at the top floor," I replied, my voice low.

"I know. We are getting to know ourselves, but I want you to trust me and know that I will never hurt you, as I can hear your increased heartbeat," he replied, and my cheeks flushed.

I kept quiet, reclining on the car seat, as Mr. Weston navigated his car ahead.

We arrived at another black gate, and I watched Mr. Weston pull his car to a halt.

A dark-skinned man, wearing a white top and black trousers, emerged from the small gate. His gaze fell on us, and he bowed to Mr. Weston.

"Welcome, sir."

"Thank you, Liam. Pull the gate," Mr. Weston gestured, as Liam nodded and went back to the gate and unlocked it remotely.

Mr. Weston's car glided into the residence and parked, and I looked ahead at the magnificent white duplex that loomed ahead of us.

"Thank you, sir," I said once more.

"You don't have to thank me, Martha. See me as your friend and not your boss," Mr. Weston said when he finally parked his car.

I met his gaze, his black eyes sending chills crashing down my spine.

Lowering my head, I replied, "Got it. I will try to see you as my friend."

"Great. Let's go on. I live here alone, except for my housekeeper who comes to clean the house in the morning."

"So the house is empty now?" I asked, as I unfastened my seat belt.

"Yeah," Mr. Weston smiled at me. "Save for your visit now. The house will not be quiet again."

I blushed, getting out of the car. The rain had stopped. My mind wandered off to my suitcase.

"Oh, no! I didn't take my suitcase from home," I said once Mr. Weston got out of the driver's seat.

"I got it for you," he replied, as he moved over to the car trunk and pulled my suitcase out.

"Thank you, sir," I said, and he nodded and led me ahead to his house.

"Let's go in. It's late. I will order for your meal. What will you like to eat?" Mr. Weston asked me kindly as he led me to the front of the house.

Walking alongside my boss, I replied, "Anything. I don't have a special food."

"Alright." Mr. Weston unlocked the entrance door and welcomed me into the living room.

As we stepped in, Mr. Weston turned on the living room light, and I glanced around the well-furnished living room.

The black couches scattered around the living room. The flat-screen television that was off. The dining room on the left side, and the golden curtains framing the walls and windows of the home.

The house smelled alive, and I smiled, knowing that my boss loves cleanliness.

"Come on, Martha. The guest room is this way," Mr. Weston led me to the guest room on the left side of the mansion.

As we arrived, he pulled the door to unlock it for me, and I smiled at him. I felt grateful for his help.

"Thank you, sir. I wasn't expecting you to help me," I said, when I reached for my handkerchief to wipe off my tears.

Mr. Weston placed my box aside as he turned to face me. His hands held my arms comfortingly and he said, "I am glad to help you."

"Alright. I will not disturb you. I need to bath and rest for today. I have some class to attend by tomorrow."

"Alright, Martha. I will leave you to rest now and order for your meal from the restaurant. Take care," Mr. Weston turned to leave the corridor as I picked up my box and walked into the room.

As I entered the furnished room, I sighed, looking around the beautiful room. The bed was covered with clean white bedspread. The windows were covered with white curtain. The room smelled fresh and homely, and if my boss wasn't a werewolf I could have been at ease. I could have considered dating him or marrying him to get my father's inheritance.

But it was all too suddenly.

I went to keep my box in the closet and stepped back to the bedroom to strip off my clothes and take a bath.

When I reached for my phone in my handbag, I ensured to check that the check was still intact.

I pulled the check, looked at it. My body trembled at the recollection of my encounter with that unknown man.

"Are all werewolves nice people? They are even more friendly than the humans I have known," I mumbled, my cheeks flushed.

Shaking my head, I snapped out of thinking about the unknown man I had slept with.

"Mr. Weston said the man is like a Prince, and he cannot have anything to do with me. But why is it too hard to forget that encounter?" I murmured.

Remembering my dream and the man's warning to get rid of his sperm, I trembled. My hands reached for my belle and I caressed it and muttered, "I already did. Next time, I won't make the crazy mistake of having sex with a stranger."

Rushing to undress, the loud knocking on the door interrupted me.

Quickly, I reached for a white towel and draped it over my chest as I rushed to the door and swung it open.
