Aiden.

I had to call an emergency alpha meeting because of what happened earlier.

I can't risk it occurring again.

My mate is still unconscious and we won't be lucky again if they appeared right now.

Not only that, but I also feel bad for putting her in danger like that.

She could have gotten hurt and I don't know if I can bare that kind of guilt.

I am the one supposed to be protecting her, not the other way round, and It will not be okay if the whole pack depended on her that much.

I feel terrible for leaving her alone in her current state, I trust my sister though, and I don't think anything will happen to her in my room.

I am sure this meeting will be over before she even wakes up. She was so exhausted.

Around me, are eight Alphas from the packs surrounding mine.

Both of us are victims of the King's barbarity and I'm happy we all have one goal.

To bring the fucker down.

"I am sick of the old man Aiden, he sent me a letter yesterday, I either join him or he wipes away my pack" Alpha Ethan of the Blue Moon says in annoyance.

"I received one too, he's practically sending them to all packs and I'm afraid some Alphas are accepting the offer" Alpha Allan yells tiredly running his hands in his hair.

"We can't let him, we need to end this. We have been living in fear for a long time and it's only up to us to end it" Gabriel says and everyone nods.

He's the most affected by the Alpha King. He killed his most of his pack members, his mate and family and he has his sister right now.

"You did well Aiden, I wish we could have done this sooner," Ethan says and I think about my mate.

I wouldn't be doing this if my mate wasn't in danger.

I'm doing this for her, I want her to continue living her life peacefully, without any burden or guilt haunting her.

I want her to finish school, and go back to work like she's supposed to be doing.

I want to mark and make her completely mine, and maybe in future, I want her to give me that beautiful son she was talking about.

I just want to be with my mate, without the fear of someone taking her away from me.

That will only happen when the idiot is gone.

"I heard you are mated to Alpha Gabriel's daughter and she's a hot ass'" Demon smirks and I groan. He's known as a big flirt and a playboy.

Demon is not mated yet, so he's taking everything he can get before his met arrives, that is if he's lucky.

"And she's the silver wolf the king wants " Tom talks for the first time and everyone looks at him in shock.

Well, I haven't mentioned my mate nor what she stands for in this fight, and I was hoping it would remain that way.

I didn't want to draw attention to her, who knows who the snake is?

"Why didn't you say anything about that Aiden, where is she?" Ethan asks and I sigh looking at her father.

"It's a long story boys, let's concentrate on the matter at hand. We need to start training sooner, everyone should send their men here asap" Gabriel explains and everyone agrees with him.

I mind link my sister to check if Mel is awake but the link is blocked on her side.

Stupid girl, I told her to keep updating me about my mate's condition and she decides to block me?

"If any of you has nothing else to say, I think we should start the strategy immediately" I say about to stand up.

"What about the witch Aiden?" Gabriel reminds me, I had forgotten we had a witch on the our side.

That is an added advantage.

"Yes, we have one witch with us and he'll be here any moment from now," I say and the guys looks at me sceptically.

I know it's absurd placing werewolves and witches in the same room.

Witches are believed to be backstabbers, and I will understand if they object to involving him in our plan.

"Are you sure about this? we both know how cunning this creatures can be" Tom says looking between Gabriel and I.

"He saved my daughter twice, I know him well" Gabriel explains but I can tell they are not fully convinced.

My wolf starts feeling uneasy, the same way he felt when we first met Mel.

Is she awake?

'Hey baby' I reach out to her, but her end is blocked too.

Is she still sleeping?

I mind link Ace's mate and she notifies me, Mel is awake but they aren't together right now.

Why did she block the mind link then?

Maybe she's still mourning. I understand.

A faint foul scent of wolfsbane comes up and the wolves around me growl in unison. They smelled it too.

"You have wolfsbane in the pack house?" Ethan asks scrunching his nose in disgust.

"No, that shit is only found in the cells," I say getting on my feet to go check but Carl beats me to it.

We wait a minute and he walks back in with a crying lily.

She's the one having the scent plus my mate's.

Why is she so dirty and where the hell did she get that?

Was she with mel?

The girl falls on her knees crying hard and Carl is the one trying to calm her

"Why do you have wolfsbane on you?" I growl at her and she wails harder.

I am hoping she didn't touch my mate with that, it could hurt her and she's new to this.

Every wolf is trained to withstand the pain from the wolfsbane. I haven't trained my mate yet, she doesn't even know how to shift.

" Am sorry alpha" she moves to touch my feet but I move away.

"Sorry about what?"

Why do I feel like I won't love whatever is coming?

"He took her, am sorry" she cries looking down and carl quickly moves away from her.

I chuckle moving closer to the bitch.

She better pray she didn't fuck up because am gonna ruin her.

"What did you do?" I grit out gripping her chin tightly drawing blood in the process.

"He took my mate and used me to get Jake, and....and if I didn't inject her he could have killed Keith" she stutters nervously and her words crash my heart into pieces.

My knees weaken and I slump on the floor in defeat. No, she wouldn't do that.

"You are joking right, you didn't just give away my daughter like she means nothing right?" Gabriel approaches the crying girl, anger clear in his voice.

Isn't she supposed to be her friend?

"Answer me bitch, tell me you didn't stab her in the back, do you have any idea what she means to me?" Gabriel grips her hair twisting her head sideways in an uncomfortable position.

"Am sorry alpha" she cries but Gabriel is enraged right now to listen.

The room is quiet and everyone is watching on with horror. If he doesn't kill her I will give her a very slow and cruel end.

"Sorry won't bring my princess back" he sadly whispers before ruthlessly tearing her throat out.
