Chapter 46 He sees me
Ava's pov
I woke up to the rays of sunlight streaming through the balcony doors and the even warmer feeling of Logan's arms wrapped tightly around me. His chest rose and fell against my back, he was sleeping soundly without any worries. I could’ve stayed like that forever.
But then before I could dwell on his warmth again I heard a knock.
And then…
"Rise and shine, lovebirds!" Charlotte’s obnoxiously chipper voice rang through the door. I almost forgot that we were here with Charlotte and Tristan.
I froze. Logan groaned behind me and buried his face into the crook of my neck. “Tell me I’m dreaming,” he mumbled.
Another knock followed. “Hope you two got enough sleep last night... though judging by the thumping and oh-my-gods, I’m gonna guess not.” Tristan's deep voice rang through the door.
My entire body went hot. “Oh my God,” I whispered. Now I was going to experience the walk of shame!
“Tristan!” I shouted back, grabbing the closest pillow and chucking it toward the door as if it would somehow erase the embarrassment.
Charlotte’s voice chimed in too, much too pleased. “Ava, babe, your vocals could rival Beyoncé, why don't you try to do music,I think you fit in the music industry from those vocal chords last night!. Should we be expecting a pregnancy announcement soon?”
“CHARLOTTE! I'm not expecting any time soon!” I covered my face with both hands as Logan burst out laughing behind me.
He pulled me closer, his lips brushing my shoulder. “Well... they’re not wrong. You were kinda loud but I love it” he winked at me.
I twisted to glare at him, but he only looked smug and utterly unapologetic. Stupid!
“You were no saint either,” I shot back.
“Fair.” He grinned.
Another knock. “Anyway,” Tristan continued, “we’re getting breakfast downstairs. Hope you two can walk.”
God! They don't know when to stop!
Logan threw his head back and laughed while I groaned and buried my face into his chest. “I am never living this down.”
He brushed his fingers through my already messy hair and kissed the top of my head. “At least we gave them something to talk about.”
“Oh, they’ll talk. For the next ten years.”
He chuckled and got up, stretching like a damn Greek god, completely unbothered by the fact that our friends had heard our… night symphony.
I stared at him, squinting. “Why are you so calm about this? Shouldn't you be worried? Why am I the only one freaking out?!”
He looked over his shoulder and winked. “Because I’ve got nothing to be ashamed of. In fact, I’m kinda proud, I was the one who made you feel like that!”
I threw a pillow at his head again.

“Ah, the lovers have arrived, glad to see you can walk well Ava! We wanted to bring you a wheelchair in case you went disabled” Tristan announced dramatically, lifting his mimosa like he was at a royal banquet instead of a beach resort buffet.
Charlotte grinned, eyes flicking between me and Logan. “You guys look... well rested.”
Logan smirked. “We are.”
I nearly choked on my orange juice.
“Y’all are the worst,” I muttered, sliding into the seat beside Charlotte as Logan joined Tristan on the other side.
“Oh please,” Charlotte said with a wicked smile. “You owe us for not knocking and walking into a live show, Tristan wanted to barge inside but he decided against it”
“You heard that?” Logan asked innocently, one brow raised. This bitch is manipulative! As if he wasn't the one doing the action.
Tristan shot him a look. “Bro, the walls were thin. At one point, I thought there was an earthquake, I wonder how Ava is doing after that”
Charlotte giggled while I hid my face behind my glass.
“I hate all of you,” I mumbled, my cheeks burning.
Logan leaned in and whispered in my ear, “Don’t worry, I liked the earthquake.”
I swatted his arm, fighting a laugh.
Moments later, Tristan stood and stretched. “Alright, pool time. Let’s give the girls a break from our endless charm.”
“Speak for yourself,” Logan said, but he followed anyway, tugging his shirt over his head and tossing a wink my way before heading toward the pool with Tristan.
Charlotte waited until the boys were out of earshot and turned to me with a knowing smile. She was up to no good!
“So…”
I gave her a side-eye. “No, don't start now char!”
“Oh, come on! You’re glowing. Was it everything you imagined?”
I sighed, smiling despite myself. “It was… more. I didn’t think it’d feel that intense. Or that right.”
Charlotte’s grin softened. “I’m really happy for you, Ava. You deserve someone who sees you. All of you.”
I looked at the pool where Logan was now wrestling Tristan into a splash war. My heart swelled. I was more happy being with Logan than at any moment in my life , And that made my heart filled with joy at the same time I was scared ,this might not last.
“He sees me, Char. Like, in ways I didn’t even see myself.”
She reached over and squeezed my hand. “Then you hold onto that. No matter what comes next.”
There was a pause between us, filled only by the sound of waves and laughter from the pool.
“You think this will last? We had an argument last night” I asked, almost whispering.
Charlotte looked at me seriously, her voice firm. “I think if anyone can make it through whatever chaos life throws, it’s you two. Just promise me one thing.”
“What?”
“Don’t lose yourself in love. Grow with it.”
I smiled, eyes a little teary. “Deal.”
Charlotte leaned back, slipping her sunglasses on. “Good. Now let’s pretend to tan while secretly judging people’s swimsuits.”
I laughed. “You’re evil.”
She grinned. “And you love me.”
She looked like she was in deep thoughts when she turned to me and asked “So was it make up sex?!"
The fuck?! What is wrong with this girl?
