The doctor thought for a long time.
"Well I have heard of some treatments from my peers and a few senior doctors for your father's case." The doctor started. Jonah heaved a sigh of relief tears of joy brimming at his eyes.
"Well can we get those treatments?." Jonah asked impatiently. The doctor sighed before continuing, "Sadly these treatments are not FDA approved as they are still undergoing testing. The safest and tested and trusted way is to continue with the treatment plan I have laid out for him." The doctor explains.
Jonah's shoulder's slump in disappointment. Elliot wraps a supportive arm round Jonah. "It is all going to be fine Jonah, Dad's going to make it." Elliot reassures him.
The doctor looks at them, his brows furrowed as he chews on his pen. "What did your mother mean when she said something about HIV?" The doctor asked curious. Elliot and Jonah turn to look at each other uncomfortably. "You do not need to answer me if you do not want to." The doctor tells them. Elliot clears his throat, "Well if you have not guessed, we happen to be in a relationship with each other." Elliot answers and the doctor nods. "Well I hate to be that person but your mother was right, it would not hurt to run the tests. I am just saying this based on statistics, nothing more." The doctor tells Elliot.
Elliot shrugs, still hesitant, "Don't worry, patients confidentiality would be upheld." The doctor reassures them. "If you are interested in running the tests, nurse Mirabel would take you to the lab techs." The doctor adds.
Elliot turns to fully face the doctor as he had been stealing glances with Jonah, with an outstretched hand, "Thank you so much for your time today Doctor...." Elliot says. The doctor takes his hand and shakes him back. "Wilson, Dr. Wilson and you are welcome." He said with a smile on his face. They stood up and left the office in search of Nurse Mirabel. They found her and she led them to a lower floor where the lab techs were.

Elaine drove round Elliot's neighborhood enjoying the serene environment including the beautiful structures that filled each lot. Elaine drove past Elliot's house, curiosity gnawing at her insides, and noticed his empty driveway. She looks in confusion, 'Where were they after last night's incident?' Elaine thought to herself. She quickly picks up her phone and opens the car tracker app. The tracker she had put on their cars, when she spies on them had come into good use.
Jonah's car was still at his house but Elliot's was at the hospital. "What is going on? Could Jonah have harmed himself?" Elaine thought. Multiple possible scenarios of what might have happened played through her head as she drove to the hospital. She quickly found a parking spot and left her car, nearly running towards the door as she imagined the worst. She approached the reception desk, her charm and practiced smile in full effect.
"Excuse me," she said to the receptionist, "I am looking for Mr. Hartfield." The receptionist looked up at her, "I'm sorry I just clocked in and I do not know who that is." She told Elaine. Elaine tried to describe him, but her descriptions were of no help as the receptionist told her the description matched a lot of people. Elaine groaned in frustration, pulling out her phone turning it to the receptionist, showing her a picture of Elliot and Jonah.
"Do you recognize them?" Elaine asked her. "Yes I do recognize one of them, that is Mr. Sinclair if I am not mistaken. The most eligible fiancee." She said dreamily pointing to the picture.
"Good, so do you know where they could be in this hospital?" Elaine asked. "Well no, like I said, I just clocked in, but I heard some nurse gossip that he is currently right here in the hospital." She told Elaine. "Well I know he is right here goddamnit. Just tell me their room number." Elaine said getting tired of the conversation. The receptionist typed on her computer for a few minutes before looking up at Elaine.
"Who are you to Mr. Hatfield?" She asked. "That is not important what is important right now is to tell me his room number." Elaine said her voice slightly rising.
"Well ma'am, according to hospital policy we can't give out that information unless you are family." The receptionist said with a blank look on her face. Elaine and the receptionist went back and forth as Elaine stood on her toes trying to spy the number from the computer but it was all futile. In the midst of her struggle she heard someone call out her name. She turned back to see it was Mirabel a girl she had gone to highschool with.
Her face softened with a smile, "Hi Mirabel, how are you?" She said. "Elaine? Wow I can't believe this is you." Nurse Mirabel said while looking at her in shock. "It has been a long while. Come here." Elaine said and pulled her into a hug. "Yes it has been Elaine, you look great." Nurse Mirabel said. "And so do you." Elaine told her. Nurse Mirabel scoffed and rolled her eyes, "Oh please you flatter me."
"I'm serious." Elaine said. Mirabel laughs and brushes it off, her face soon turns into one of genuine concern. "What brings you here? Is everything okay?" Mirabel asks studying Elaine with her eyes. Elaine looks around and whispers to Mirabel, "Can we go somewhere more private." Mirabel nods and ushers her down a quiet, dark corridor. "So what is it? I hope it isn't something serious." Mirabel says.
"No not at all, it is just I am looking for someone and the receptionist was of no help." Elaine told her. Elaine explained that she was a friend of the Hartfield family, and that she was supposed to visit them today and they weren't around. "I spoke to the security of the gated community, and he said they left in a hurry early in the morning and the only word he could hear was hospital." Elaine said fake worry clouding her face.
"Oh wow, well yes they came in this morning. Jonah's father was rushed in by ambulance around 3am. His condition is serious." Mirabel told her.
