Chapter 102 Show the Proper Attitude

On the first floor, Anne was caught off guard seeing Nolan there.

Nolan was chilling against the wall with a few buddies, all of whom Anne recognized as his old college roommates.

Running into Nolan didn't really faze Anne. She was about to look away when, out of nowhere, she locked eyes with him.

Nolan's eyes widened, like he couldn't believe Anne was actually looking at him.

Anne quickly looked away, took a sip of her drink, and tried to focus on the loud music, feeling the urge to leave.

But seeing Diana having a blast, she touched her belly and whispered, "Babies, hang in there. I know you hate noisy places, but Diana's had a rough time and needs this. Just stick with mommy a bit longer for her."

"Anne." A hesitant voice came from beside her. Nolan had moved to the seat next to her, but she scooted one seat away, leaving an empty one between them.

Nolan gave a sad smile, fiddling with his glass. "You still come here to drink, just like old times."

Anne didn't respond, acting like she didn't hear him.

"Mason told me you're pregnant. Congrats."

Even though he said congrats, Anne could tell he didn't mean it. She let out a cold laugh but still didn't reply.

"In the early stages of pregnancy, the baby's fragile. You shouldn't be in places like this. It's crowded, and the smell of alcohol and smoke isn't good for the baby."

Anne ignored him. Nolan didn't get mad; instead, he kept showing concern for her health, just like he used to, which only made Anne feel worse.

Anne's voice was icy, "You're worrying about the wrong person."

She turned away, but Nolan grabbed her hand, his eyes full of longing and regret.

"Anne, is there really no way for us to go back?"

Anne looked at Nolan with a strange expression, smelling the strong scent of alcohol on him. "You're drunk!"

She tried to pull her hand away, but he held on tight. Instead of letting go, he used his drunken strength to hug her tightly.

"Nolan, what are you doing? Let go of me! Let go!"

Anne struggled desperately, but Nolan only held her tighter, mumbling, "I won't let go. I'll never let you go like I did before. Anne, I still love you. I still have you in my heart. Let's remarry. I don't care whose child you're carrying; I'll accept it and be its father."

Anne pushed Nolan away with all her strength. Nolan staggered, sobering up a bit.

"Nolan! Stop dreaming! We can never go back!"

Anne's harsh words hit him like icy needles, causing him intense pain.

Nolan's face twisted with bitterness. "Why? Is it because of that guy?"

"Anne, remarrying you is a dream, but you dating a guy who hasn't even graduated from college isn't? And you're carrying his child. We were together for eight years, and I never knew you could be so unrealistic. You're ten years apart, a whole decade. Do you think he truly loves you?"

Nolan's words were harsh, and Anne's chest felt tight. She bit her lower lip and shot back, "Yes, we're ten years apart, but at least he's better than you. I've been with him for less than a month, and he got me pregnant."

Nolan was deeply hurt by her words. He let out a bitter laugh. "So that's why we really got divorced."

Anne frowned, not expecting him to say that.

"Whoever knocks you up, you'll make him your man!"

"You jerk!" Anne, furious, raised her hand and slapped Nolan hard across the face.

His head snapped to the side from the impact.

Anne lowered her trembling hand, avoiding his gaze. She turned and walked towards the door with determination.

As she was leaving, a few rough-looking guys passed by her and headed towards the back. Moments later, she heard Nolan's screams.

Turning around, she saw Nolan getting beaten up by several men and holding his head as he fell to the ground.

The guys were brutal, each punch and kick looking like they were trying to take him out.

The people around backed away in fear. Even Nolan's roommates, who tried to step in, got beaten and backed off.

Anne's heart clenched, and she rushed back.

She tried to pull the guys off Nolan, but they just pushed her aside and kept going, clearly targeting him.

Anne noticed they seemed hesitant to push her too hard, only gently brushing her off.

Realizing something was up, Anne quickly scanned the crowd and locked eyes with Dorian upstairs.

She instantly knew Dorian had sent these guys to beat Nolan.

If this kept up, Nolan would be seriously hurt. Anne couldn't stand it and ran upstairs to confront Dorian.

"Tell your guys to stop!"

Dorian turned away indifferently, his right elbow lazily resting on the railing, looking at Anne with displeasure.

"Feeling sorry for him?"

"I'm not feeling sorry. If something happens to him and the cops get involved, you won't be able to get away with it."

"That's my problem, not yours."

Dorian turned back, continuing to watch Nolan getting beaten below.

Anne sighed helplessly. "Do it as a favor to me. Please let him go."

Seeing the woman he loved pleading for another man, Dorian was already burning with jealousy.

"Alright, since you're asking, show the proper attitude."

"What do you want?"

Dorian gave a cold smile and led Anne to a lit room.

On the wide white bed, Dorian, like a predatory leopard, hovered over Anne.

He arched his muscular frame, his hand gripping her waist, making it impossible for her to move.

Dorian placed Anne's legs around his waist, pressing intrusively between her legs.

Anne's knees trembled against his side, her bones pressing against his hard muscles.

Terrified, Anne realized this was Dorian's way of making her beg. He wanted to have sex with her, despite her pregnancy.

Dorian leaned down, his lips close to her ear, his hot breath teasing like feathers.

"Don't worry, I checked. It's safe in the second trimester. You're almost three months along. As long as I'm careful, it won't hurt the babies."

As he spoke, Dorian supported her lower back, lifting her slightly. He entered her steadily and forcefully, pushing through the long passage and reaching the deepest part of her body.

She opened her mouth, unsure whether to scream or gasp, her thighs trembling as they instinctively tightened around him.
