Chapter 262 This Time, He Was Surprisingly Obedient

Seeing Sebastian suddenly appear here, Aaron was somewhat surprised. Just as he was about to ask what brought him here, he noticed the girl beside Sebastian.

The moment Jessica saw Elena, she obediently piped up.

"Hello, sister-in-law."

Instantly, the atmosphere in the hospital room became somewhat awkward.

Elena's face flushed red immediately. She cleared her throat lightly. "You... you don't need to call me that. Your brother and I aren't... in that kind of relationship..."

"Just call me 'sis'..."

Jessica froze for a moment. Instinctively, she glanced at her brother.

When she saw him quietly gazing at Elena with tenderness written all over his face, she pressed her lips together. After weighing her words, just as she was about to speak, Aaron let out a cold laugh.

"I'm guessing you put your sister up to calling Elena that, didn't you?"

Hearing Aaron's sudden mockery, Sebastian was taken aback, but he couldn't deny it. He admitted he did harbor intentions of making Elena his girlfriend.

His silence, in Aaron's eyes, became a tacit admission. Thinking back to that Roman incident earlier, the anger that hadn't fully dissipated in Aaron's chest resurfaced.

"Then don't go making things up."

"Mr. Blake might not care about his reputation, but my sister does."

Sebastian blinked and nodded. "Alright, I understand."

Not expecting him to agree so readily, Aaron felt like he'd just punched a wad of cotton—that pent-up frustration had nowhere to go. His face twisted slightly as he forcibly changed the subject.

"Fine, enough about that."

"By the way, what about Luke and his crew? Have you taken care of it?"

At the mention of business, Sebastian's gaze instantly darkened. An almost palpable sense of oppression radiated from him.

"Already handled. Kidnapping, sexual assault—slapped them with several charges. There's no way they're getting out of this."

"Plus, I've greased the right palms inside. I guarantee every single day they spend in there will be hell on earth. Living will be worse than dying."

Hearing this answer, Aaron was clearly still dissatisfied. He gritted his teeth and snorted coldly.

"Too easy on them. Scum like that deserve a bullet to the head! If it were up to me..."

Jessica was probably frightened by the undisguised killing intent in Aaron's words. She shrank behind Sebastian, her eyes fixed fearfully on Aaron in the distance.

Sensing his sister's fear, Sebastian gently patted her shoulder in comfort. "The law will handle it. Some things aren't for us to decide."

"Besides, getting our hands dirty on people like that would only disgust ourselves."

Hearing this, Aaron was clearly displeased. He glanced at Sebastian, his lips curling downward.

"Is that so? From what I know about the Blake family, getting rid of two nobodies like them should be child's play, right? Unless you just don't want to."

Hearing Aaron's reproach, Sebastian knew he was being protective of his sister and felt somewhat helpless.

"Ms. Elena—how could I not want to do that? But wouldn't that be a bit too impulsive..."

"Disposing of them is a small matter, but if there's even the slightest slip-up and word gets out, wouldn't that ruin Elena's reputation?"

"So let's just hold back for now."

Aaron knew he had a point, but there was still a knot in his chest, so his expression remained sour.

Sebastian didn't stay much longer. He'd only come to confirm Elena's safety. Seeing she was fine, he prepared to leave with Jessica.

Before leaving, he approached Elena, his voice gentle.

"Rest up these next few days. I'll take care of those matters—you don't need to worry about anything."

"Just take care of yourself."

With that, he stood up, nodded at Aaron, and left the hospital room with Jessica following behind.

After they left, the room fell quiet again.

Aaron picked up the items Sebastian had brought, intending to put them away, when something suddenly occurred to him. He turned, his gaze sharp as he stared at Elena.

Elena felt a chill run down her spine under his stare. She frowned. "What?"

"I think Sebastian's acting strange."

After a moment of silence, Aaron suddenly said this.

Elena felt somewhat exasperated. "Strange how?"

"Based on my understanding of men, plus my previous investigation into Sebastian, I can't shake the feeling that those parting words of his had deeper meaning."

At this, Elena looked completely speechless. "Aaron, what are you even talking about? Those were obviously just ordinary..."

"No, absolutely not!"

Aaron shook his head firmly, his expression serious. "Sebastian is extremely calculating. The fact that he's managed to secure his position as CEO of Blake Corporation all these years and develop the entire company into this city's leading enterprise is proof enough of how formidable he is!"

"Plus, everyone who's worked with Sebastian says he's ruthless and will stop at nothing to achieve his goals!"

"So someone like that—you should keep your distance."

After hearing Aaron's analysis, Elena thought he was really being paranoid. She pursed her lips. "But didn't you try to set us up before? How come you're suddenly backtracking and badmouthing him now?"

Who would have thought—after hearing this, Aaron lifted his chin slightly and shot her a cold look. "That was just teasing. Someone like Sebastian isn't reliable. He's not a good match at all."

Seeing how certain he looked, Elena had nothing more to say. She nodded.

"Fine, whatever you say."

With that, she picked up her phone and started scrolling.

At that moment, Sebastian had just walked out of the hospital entrance when his phone rang.

He pulled it from his pocket. When he saw the name on the screen, his brow furrowed tightly.

Jessica, seeing it was Jasmine calling, looked annoyed.

"What? The Crawley family still won't give up?"

Hearing her words, Sebastian let out a cold laugh, his eyes sinister. "How could they possibly give up?"

After all, the Blake family could offer them far too much. There was no way they'd let go of such a prize catch.

So Sebastian gritted his teeth and coldly hung up the call.

But the next second, the person on the other end called again.

It was as if they were determined to keep calling until Sebastian answered—no matter what!

After several rounds of this, Sebastian was truly irritated.

He pulled up the number and swiftly blocked it.

After doing this, Sebastian's expression improved slightly, though his lips remained pressed into a hard line. "Alright, let's go. There's still a lot to handle at the new place."

Hearing Sebastian's words, Jessica nodded obediently.

As she and Sebastian walked toward the parking lot, she asked, "When can I see Elena again?"

"Soon. When she has time, you can visit her often."

"Okay."
