After Alexander spoke, he realized he had been somewhat rude.
However, upon seeing Freya, the woman who bullied his daughter online, he suddenly felt he hadn't been harsh enough.
"What are you doing here?"
Freya was still reeling from Alexander's "she has a mental illness" comment and was stunned by the man's undisguised tone of disgust.
When those deep eyes shot towards her, she inexplicably felt a sense of being exposed.
Freya stiffened for a moment but quickly adjusted her state.
"Mr. Alexander Brown. I'm here to see Mr. Holden Brown."
"It's quite a coincidence to run into you."
She knew very well that becoming Alexander's wife was not an easy task. If she were defeated by just a few words from Alexander, she might as well go home early.
It seemed she wouldn't see Holden today, but thinking of Amelia's smug look, Freya was unwilling to give up.
"Mr. Brown, do you know... Ms. Johnson has been contacting Professor Rowen privately using your name?"
She said with a seemingly disappointed look, "To be honest, Professor Rowen is my idol. But today, I inadvertently learned that Ms. Johnson has been using the professor's name to settle some personal grudges. I think this is simply a disgrace to the professor."
"And Ms. Johnson can contact Professor Rowen because you wanted her to treat Leo, but she..."
"Frankly speaking, Ms. Johnson is now using your connections to contact the professor privately. I'm afraid she will do more things under your name in the future..."
Seeing Freya's hesitant expression, Elsie was full of amazement. Freya didn't know that her mom was Rowen, so she was talking nonsense?
Was this the bad woman on TV who tried to stir up trouble between the main characters?
Elsie perked up. She wanted to see if her dad would be like the bad men on TV and believe the bad woman's words!
Alexander thought Freya was simply ridiculous. He said indifferently, "Everything Amelia does is with my permission. Is there a problem?"
"Professor Rowen himself has no objections, but you seem to be quite concerned."
He picked up Elsie and walked to his room, saying coolly, "As for my things, even if Amelia used them, they were given by me."
"The Brown Villa does not welcome meddlesome people, Ms. Stewart. You don't need to come anymore."
Freya's eyes widened, "No way!"
Freya's overly sharp voice echoed in the empty hall, suddenly waking herself up.
She realized she was too agitated and forcibly adjusted her tone, "Mr. Alexander Brown, I am working beside Mr. Holden Brown on behalf of my father. This is something Mr. Holden Brown agreed to, you can't just drive me away."
Alexander turned back at the corner of the stairs, giving Freya a condescending look that made her shiver all over.
She knew what that look meant: What did Holden matter? I wanted you to leave; you had to go.
A servant had already walked up, bowing and standing aside, silently urging Freya to leave.
Freya looked at the stairs where Alexander's figure had disappeared and clenched her fingers tightly.
No matter, she still had the Allen family. As long as she could successfully obtain the status of the Allen family heir, whether it was Holden or Alexander, they would both be wary of her because of her status.
She would go back now and have her brother prepare the next potion!
Freya silently vowed to herself. 'Alexander, you will become my husband sooner or later!'
"Daddy, you were so cool just now~"
Elsie was now sitting in Alexander's room. She had no interest in looking at her dad's simple room but instead looked at Alexander with admiration.
"Ms. Stewart must like you! No, she likes your money!"
"You drove her away, you're a good man!"
"Mom will definitely like you more and more when she finds out!"
Alexander found his daughter, with her serious little face acting like an emotional analysis expert, very cute. He joked gently, "Sweetie, is that true? Will mom really like it?"
"Yes!"
Elsie nodded vigorously, "No girl can resist the feeling of being the only one!"
After all, that was how it was in TV shows and novels.
Elsie, who had picked up the habit of watching TV dramas from Jasper, was very certain.
Alexander's fingers twitched, feeling a bit moved.
"Why did you suddenly call? Is something wrong with Leo?"
Amelia had just said goodbye to Vivienne when she received a call from Alexander.
"...No."
Alexander felt a bit stifled. Could he only contact her because of their son?
"It's about you."
"Today, I saw the daughter of the Stewart family at the Brown family estate."
"The daughter of the Stewart family? Who?" Amelia thought for a moment, "Freya?"
"Isn't she the one your family arranged for you to date? It's normal for her to be there."
Amelia said nonchalantly.
But she felt a bit uncomfortable inside.
What was going on? Alexander just expressed that he liked her, and she already felt possessive?
"But she came to badmouth you today."
Alexander spoke slowly, waiting for Amelia to ask what bad things were said.
But Amelia didn't care at all, "If you don't say, I'll hang up."
He felt helpless. Amelia really wasn't cooperating at all.
"What's the rush?"
"She said you were contacting Professor Rowen privately using my name and using the professor's name to settle personal grudges."
"What do you think about this, Professor Rowen?"
Amelia, who was wearing headphones, was startled by Alexander's sudden low voice. She instinctively took off her headphones, paused, and then put them back on.
She hadn't realized she liked listening to pleasant voices before. Why did she find Alexander's voice so nice to hear lately?
"Alexander, can you speak properly and not in a low voice!"
Alexander was usually very good at picking up on Amelia's emotions. For example, now, he could tell she was a bit embarrassed and angry, so he chuckled softly, "Why, doesn't Professor Rowen like it?"
Amelia blushed at the increasingly teasing tone and honestly faced her preference, "Not bad."
It was strange. The same scenario had happened in Emerald City with James, and she only felt it was greasy.
But with Alexander, she really liked it.
Damn it.
Amelia cursed inwardly. She had teased her daughter for being a crazy handsome guy lover, but it was definitely inherited from her.
Alexander was tickled by Amelia's reaction and suddenly wanted to see her, to look into those proud and cunning eyes beneath her gentle exterior.
And then... hug her.
"So, since I helped Professor Rowen hide her identity, does the professor have any reward for me?"
When Alexander spoke again, his voice was a bit hoarse.
Amelia abruptly stopped the car by the roadside. She couldn't help it; Alexander's voice made her inexplicably dry-mouthed. For safety, she had to take a moment to calm down.
Alexander seemed to know when to stop, cleared his throat, and spoke seriously, "Amelia, did you encounter any problems? Do you need my help?"
Alexander was suddenly very grateful to his unreliable teacher Austin, who was always traveling, for taking Amelia as a student. It allowed him to call her by her name affectionately when he was dissatisfied with the distant "Ms. Johnson."
"Nothing much, I've already taken care of it."
Alexander's sudden serious tone made Amelia doubt if she had just imagined things, causing her to overlook Alexander calling her "Amelia."
"Just take care of your son."
