Chapter 133
"I've been busy lately, no time to see you."
"But I've got something you're most interested in. About Victoria, don't you want to know?"
"What about Victoria?"
"If you want to know, come find me. Dress up nice. We're going to have some real fun tonight." Terry deliberately kept it mysterious, then hung up.
That night, Mia dressed herself up glamorously and came to the resort villa. She finally found Terry, wearing glasses with a sleazy look on his face, at a private hot spring pool.
Terry had Mia change into a bikini. Though reluctant, thinking she was here to learn Victoria's secret, she put up with it and changed.
When Terry saw her standing by the hot spring pool with those long, slender legs, he yanked her down into the water.
The warm water kept splashing in layers, getting all over Mia's face.
Before she could react, Terry impatiently pulled her into his arms.
Mia just felt disgusted, getting goosebumps all over.
She instinctively tried to push him away, but he sneered coldly, "You only get enthusiastic when you need something from me. Usually when I ask you to come out and be with me, you hide and avoid me."
"No, I've just been too busy." Mia smiled charmingly, running her finger across his face. "Tell me first, what happened to Victoria?"
Terry smiled sinisterly. "If you want to know, depends on how well you perform..."
"You tell me first."
"You don't trust me? How many things have I done for you? Tamsin's death—I was the one who helped you with that, right? Mia, we're in the same boat now. Don't even think about crossing the bridge and burning it behind you, or we'll both go down! I've recorded videos every time we've had sex. If Martin found out you've cheated on him countless times, would he still want you?"
Terry bit her earlobe, warning, "So if you're smart, you'll keep this relationship with me. Even if you become Martin's wife later, you better come whenever I call!"
Mia clenched her fists, her fingers digging hard into her flesh. Her connection with Terry started from when Tamsin crashed through the broken bridge railing and supposedly committed suicide.
She was worried Tamsin would wake up and expose everything, so she made a deal with Terry.
Terry took advantage of the chaos, got into the hospital where Tamsin was being treated, and secretly added shock-inducing drugs, creating the illusion that Tamsin didn't survive the critical period!
She even gave Terry five million dollars as hush money, but she never expected this bastard would completely latch onto her and want to maintain this relationship long-term.
Mia was smart enough not to break things off now.
But her eyes revealed murderous intent.
Once she used Terry to eliminate all threatening people, she would get rid of him without hesitation!
What Mia didn't know was that Terry had installed a hidden pinhole camera in the corner of the hot spring pool—it was his insurance.
And evidence to keep this seductive woman under control.
Because he'd been involved in too many of Mia's affairs, and if exposed, she might turn on him.
Roses have thorns, and the best way is to strip all the thorns from the rose's roots.
After the climax.
Mia leaned in his arms acting coy, "Terry, can you tell me now?"
"Victoria has a terminal illness." Terry said.
Mia's eyelid twitched, looking at him in surprise. "How do you know?"
Terry roughly told her about what happened today.
Mia took off his glasses, kissing his eyelids. "So what are you planning to do to help me?"
"What do you want me to do?" Terry gripped her slim waist.
She leaned close to his ear and slowly spoke.
After a while, Terry looked at her and pointed his finger at her, laughing: "You woman, you're really ruthless and vicious!"
"Men don't love women who aren't bad. Don't you just love how vicious I am?" Mia passionately kissed his lips, acting coy. "Terry, help me this once. Please?"
"Depends on how well you perform."
At the same time.
In the apartment, Kaida made Victoria a bowl of nutritious soup, then went out to buy groceries.
Victoria's heart was beating faster and faster.
These past two days, she kept worrying something would happen.
This anxiety had been growing stronger since going to the hospital for tests.
As footsteps grew heavier, Victoria looked up to see Martin coming upstairs, carrying a briefcase, wearing a dark suit and glasses.
His expression looked terrible.
He turned to go into the dressing room to change.
"Martin, are the test results out?" Victoria couldn't help asking. His face looked so bad—was it because he saw her report?
Because she was sick, was he upset?
Martin's steps stopped instantly.
She added, "Didn't you rush the results?"
"So eager? Is my child in your belly being wronged by staying one more day?" Martin turned his head with a cold smile.
His tone was mocking.
Clearly, Victoria had misunderstood again.
"No, it's that my body can't hold on any longer." Victoria was about to explain.
The phone suddenly rang.
Martin took out his phone, looked at the caller ID, gestured for her to be quiet, then answered the call and walked toward the study.
Victoria heard Brian's voice on the phone, "Mr. Collins, Mrs. Collins's test report is out."
Her heart suddenly clenched. The test report was out?
"Wait a moment!" Martin seemed deliberately avoiding Victoria, quickening his pace into the study. After closing the door, he sat in the leather chair while Brian on the phone waited for his instructions.
His heart felt heavy, like a stone was pressing on it. He didn't dare imagine what his reaction would be if the answer he was about to hear really was a terminal illness.
Martin took a breath, relieving the pressure in his heart.
"You can tell me now." Martin's tone remained cold as he instructed.
