As soon as Jennifer said this, everyone at the seminar froze.

Beatrice stepped forward on her own, looking coldly at Jennifer: "Miss Rivera, this is a professional setting. If you keep spouting nonsense, I'll sue you for defamation!"

"Go ahead and sue me if you dare!" Jennifer was certain that Beatrice's proposal couldn't compare to hers, so she wasn't afraid of Beatrice's warning at all.

"I saw you walking with Ethan with my own eyes that day. As long as you're not afraid of your shady relationship with Ethan and the dark secrets of the chemistry world getting out, what do I have to fear?"

Beatrice let out a cold laugh: "If just walking with Ethan proves we're close, then my husband came to this seminar with you and invested a huge sum in your new company. What's the nature of your relationship?"

As soon as Beatrice said this, the way people around looked at Jennifer and Arthur instantly became strange.

From the moment Jennifer and Arthur arrived at the seminar, Beatrice had noticed them. Jennifer had noticed her too, so she deliberately made some intimate gestures with Arthur, like taking his hand on purpose, clinging to him playfully, asking him to take her shopping after the seminar ended.
