Chapter 26 The Cost Of Being In My World

I couldn't take my eyes off her.
Not when she was dressed in that killer black dress. Tight in the right places. Thin straps barely hanging onto her shoulder.
The back was bare, with nothing but a zipper and a whole lot of sin. The dress was cut low at the back. Real low.
High cut on the thigh, showing off her toned legs.
When she moved, the dress moved with her in a slow grace.
And to be honest, that dress had no business being on her body, and even less business staying on it.
"After you," I said, opening the front door for her.
"Thank you." She muttered before sliding into the seat, my eyes didn't miss the sight of her bare back. A little drag down, her ass would pop into sight.
There was no way I'd be able to keep my eyes off her all night. And keeping my hands to myself? That was already a lost cause.
I shut the door, rounded the car, and slid into the driver's seat. The engine came to life, as I drove into the night.
The busy streets of Brooklyn faded behind us as I drove towards the strip club, but first, I stopped by an adult toy store.

Pulling up at the parking space, I turned off the engine. Ready to get off, but Vanessa called out behind me.
"Is..this the strip club?"
"Does this look like one?"
She glanced up at the store, frowning. "Seems like a sex toy store."
"Right. This is an adult toy store." I confirmed, staring at her smoky eyes.
God, she was drop-dead Gorgeous.
"Okay, what are we doing here?"
"Need to grab some toys."
"For who?"
"For personal use," I answered. Her face twisted in a funny way. "Relax, they're for females."
"You planning some wild sex escapade or something?"
My eyes dropped to her lips. Unintentionally—at least, that was what I told myself. "You don't say. Come on, let's go."
I unbuckled my seatbelt and stepped out of the car, adjusting my sleeves. While she kept mumbling inaudible words to herself.
"Did you say something?"
Her mouth twitched as she stepped beside me. "You're not shy about this place."
"I don't do shy."
Vanessa had that look on her face—half amused, half annoyed. Like she didn't want to come in but followed anyway.
Her heels clicked against the pavement as we made our way towards the store.

"This looks expensive." She said, her hands hovered over a sleek-black device, turning it in her fingers. And then, dropped it into the small red basket I picked up near the front.
No questions asked. No hesitation whatsoever.
"It is."
"Who's the reason you're getting all these?" She asked.
"Someone."
She didn't ask again. She kept walking ahead of me, stopping at the next aisle.
This one was interesting. Rows of vibrators, some were sleek, others were in ridiculous sizes. She raised an eyebrow, reaching for one.
"Do women actually need something this big?" She mused, her fingers wrapped around the ridiculously big vibrator.
I walked up to her, just near enough to inhale her perfume. "Need? No. But want? That's a whole different conversation."
She turned to me, aiming it in my direction. "You brought me here to impress me, didn't you?"
Bingo.
"I'm not trying to impress you." I took the vibrator from her and dropped it on the rack. "I'm trying to get a suitable one to use on you."
Her lips parted, eyes locked on mine for a little too long. That expression? So priceless.
I wasn't trying to ease her in. I wanted her off balance because that's when people show you who they really are.
We moved to another aisle. She picked up something smaller—egg-shaped, wireless, and discreet.
"What's this?"
"Remote controlled."
Her brows quirked. "Interesting."
I didn't say anything, just took it from her and dropped it in the basket.
She grabbed some leather cuffs, looking innocent—and nothing like the stuff she was holding. "Soft."
"Indeed. Comfort matters, especially when you're not planning on letting someone go anytime soon."
She gave a side glance at me. "You ever use these?"
"Twice or thrice," I replied, my voice low. "Never had complaints from the women."
She paused. I wondered what was going on in that complicated head of hers. But her next words took me by surprise. "Add them."
My face broke into a smile. "Of course."
I grabbed a slim, matte box off the middle row and tilted it enough for her to read the label; Clitoral suction stimulator.
She blinked. "A what?"
"It mimics oral. Better, actually. Doesn't get tired and it also doesn't miss."
Her eyes widened.
"Good for edging," I added casually, dropping it in the basket. "Or teasing someone until they beg."
She let out a cough and I chuckled.
Then, I showed her another device. "G-spot toy." I let the words roll out of my tongue. "It takes practice. Angle matters. But once you find the right spot? Game over."
Next, I grabbed a slim remote-controlled vibe. Black. The kind that you tuck into underwear and control from your phone.
I turned it in my hand and glanced at her. "Ever worn something in public that no one else could see, but you felt every second?"
She gave a short breath through her nose. "Is that a trick question?"
I dropped it in the basket. "No. But it could be a dare."
She shook her head slightly, biting the inside of her cheek, but I caught the flicker of something in her eyes.
Confusion. Curiosity. Temptation. All wrapped in one breathtaking woman who had no idea what she was getting into.
I planned to show her exactly what it meant to step into my world, and what it cost to stay there. I'd make sure she learned. Slowly. Thoroughly. One line at a time.
I was going to let her feel every inch of the difference between me and the kind of men she thought she could handle. Men like Derek.
If she thought this was overwhelming... she hadn't seen anything yet.
I picked up a warming gel, held it up like a bartender.
"This one makes your skin sensitive. You put it where it counts, rub a little..." I leaned closer. "Suddenly, everything burns in a good way."
Vanessa glanced away like she was trying to pretend that I didn't just say that. Her cheeks flushed red.
"Ryker.." she breathed, her legs pressed tight. Her voice carried a hint of warning and something else.
"Mm?"
But she didn't finish her thought.
"Some people like control." Grabbing a pair a black restraints. "Others like to be at someone's mercy."
I closed the distance between us. "What about you?"
She didn't answer. But her throat bobbed as she swallowed hard.
I smirked.
That was enough.
Basket full, eyes hot, nerves tight. Mission accomplished.
And we hadn't even made it to the damn club yet.
