Chapter 26 With Your Mouth
Giovanni’s POV
After the disturbing incident with Molly’s sister at court, I was concerned about her safety at Wesley’s house so despite having urgent matters to attend to, I insisted on accompanying her.
Wesley did not join us, so I assumed Molly would be fine in his home. I gave her a fifteen-minute window to gather her belongings and leave before I would intervene.
I believed this timeframe was ample for her to prepare to depart. However, I was unaware that there were others present until I heard a voice that resembled Molly’s.
I abruptly ended my call and checked the timer I had set. There was a minute left for the fifteen minutes to elapse, but I didn’t wait and went inside, only to find the repulsive old man laying his filthy hands on my woman – a woman I was determined to spend the rest of my life protecting.
I didn't care about his age when the demon inside of me raged, and I threw him in whatever direction I found, not caring about the outcome.
Then I saw the old hag grabbing Molly's hair. "What do you want here?" she asked in a panicked voice, visibly upset because of what I did to her good-for-nothing husband.
I was about to slap her, but she let go of Molly's hair, and Molly stopped me, already getting a hint of what I was capable of.
"She will die if you hit her."
"I don't care," I raged, ready to declare this whole godforsaken family missing. Whatever they owed Molly, I would have given her, but I knew she wouldn't want that.
She still wanted to have what rightfully belonged to her, so that was the only reason I let the woman go, but that did not appease me.
I witnessed the old woman running to her husband's side, and realizing that he might be in a coma, I felt a surge of anger.
"Come back here, kneel, apologize, and kiss her feet, or I will send you to your grave just like him," I threatened.
It was clear that the old man's chances of recovery were slim. He would either be dead or in a coma.
I was well aware of the consequences of my violent actions, which is why I often resorted to declaring people missing instead of taking them to the hospital, as it would raise suspicions.
Molly's fearful expression softened me, making me ponder what she must think of me.
I was no longer the man who once showered her with affection. The influence of bad people had changed me, teaching me to survive and protect my loved ones through harsh means.
When Molly motioned for me, I had to bend down to hear her words. She was quite short.
"Gianni, my assets are in her name," she whispered, indicating why she didn't want me to handle them. My compassion was limited, especially towards this family.
"I understand, but if she doesn't apologize, she can stay in the hospital. I'll still make sure you get what you're owed," I whispered back, urging her to trust me.
She nodded, showing renewed trust. I noticed the girl picking up the jewelry from the floor, which I knew belonged to Molly.
These pieces were precious to her, given by her late parents, possibly family heirlooms.
“Whatever you're picking up from the floor doesn't belong to you, right?" I said, causing her to shiver. "Pick them up with your mouth and place them on the table," I instructed firmly.
Molly seemed taken aback by the unusual request, glancing at me with a questioning look.
I avoided her gaze, determined to push her out of her comfort zone. If she didn't toughen up, she would never be able to stand up to her bullies.
I noticed a girl staring at Molly with hostility, but I was prepared to enforce conformity. "I can make you do it," I warned her.
She hesitantly dropped the jewelry she was holding onto the table, but I shook my head.
"I said, use your mouth."
Tears welled up in her eyes, but I remained resolute. They had been bullying Molly and even physically assaulting her.
I was determined to teach them a lesson. As she bent down to pick up the item with her mouth, a young voice interrupted.
"Who are you? You can't bully us like this. This is our house."
I turned to see a young boy, seemingly trying to act tough. Before I could react, Molly did something that left me stunned.
