Chapter 148 I want to go home
Giovanni’s POV
Why is she here?" I asked Hank after Nora left, her face flushed with embarrassment. Their on-and-off relationship was causing me stress.
"She's giving me a chance, but she wants to take things slow," Hank revealed, sparking my excitement. "Last night things seemed to be escalating, but today everything is falling into place."
Then a thought struck me, so I inquired, "What if Octavia changes her mind? I know it won't be long, especially since I mentioned the money in front of Cage."
As much as I wanted both women to be happy, I didn't want any conflicts between them because of my best friend.
"Gio, do you even have to ask? The moment Octavia put me in a position where I had to beg to be chosen, she was never mine to begin with. Nora only dated once, and I'm the only man she made a move on. I'm not an option for her, but the one she truly desires."
His words stirred up emotions in me. Hank, who was always as reserved as I am, had once said he couldn't settle down, and I completely understood him.
However, love is a force too powerful for anyone to resist. We both fell deeply in love, and I knew in my heart that Hank had a beautiful future ahead of him.
The wedding was just as I had envisioned. Molly deserved a grand celebration, but I was more concerned about her safety, so I wanted to give her an unforgettable experience.
While working with the planners, I made sure they came up with something unique and magical. Seeing Molly's reaction, I knew I had hit the mark.
"Gianni, how did you pull this off?"
I smiled at her. "Your happiness is my priority, Molly. I simply looked for things that would bring this joy to your face."
We shared another passionate kiss before entering. The tent was transparent, offering a view of the clear water, unlike the first one.
The planner had arranged different blends of smoke hazer as I had requested, creating a rainbow-like cloud on the floor. The top of the tent was adorned with small crystals that resembled stars. With the vast sea in view from outside, the magical effect was perfect, especially with just a few guests present.
“Congratulations,” Natasha approached us and conveyed her well wishes, followed by other congratulatory messages before the MC announced our first dance.
Molly looked stunning in the wedding gown she chose, blending seamlessly with the décor, ensuring our final pictures would appear as if we were walking on clouds.
After our first dance, Molly danced with Roger and Hank, while I danced with Nora and took the opportunity to inquire,
“Have you made up your mind? I don’t want you to hurt Hank again.”
She tensed up, aware of her fear of me, prompting me to soften my tone. “You know what, you are going to be family because you are my Donner’s best friend. You should call me Gio.”
Surprise lit up her eyes, and she shyly smiled. “No, Don, you are still my boss.”
I gently reminded her, “You don’t work for me anymore, madam singer.” She burst into laughter, and I smiled. “So Gio it is. I hope you and Hank take good care of Roger for me.”
She nodded quickly but seemed eager to end the dance, as if my presence was uncomfortable for her.
Roger assisted with the cake cutting, and after dinner and a toast by Hank, we prepared to depart.
However, Roger made a request. “Dad, I want to go home and catch up on studies. Can uncle Hank arrange for a private tutor?”
It took me a moment to process his request, but I recalled his determination to graduate from college at a younger age. In that case, I couldn’t deny him.
“Sure, Hank will make the arrangements, but I will have him stay with Nora until we return.”
“That’s fine. I just want to be home,” Roger shrugged. His maturity seemed to grow with each passing day.
The final heartwarming moment was when Molly tossed her bouquet. With only a few single women present, and most attendees accompanied by their spouses, technically only Nora and Natasha were the singles.
However, Hank caught the bouquet and offered it to Nora, earning cheers from the guests.
“Wow, someone wants to get married quickly. Are you going to propose?” Don Saint asked Hank, he stared at Nora but ignored the question.
We arrived in Dubai to experience the underwater hotel and make investments in some properties.
Molly loved the underwater hotel so much that I had to cancel other plans, like spending three days in the Maldives.
"Looking at the fishes calms me and is something I wouldn’t see on a daily basis," she smiled, her eyes glued to the glass where the fishes swam.
"I guess I should have made us go to the Maldives first," I smiled at her, she replied, "We can visit the Maldives later with Roger. I love it here."
As much as she loved it, I couldn't make love to her when I felt like I was being watched by fishes, so I drew the curtains.
"Gianni…" she started to say when my lips sealed hers. "I miss you, Molly," I said with desire in my voice. She relaxed and deepened the kiss.
"Please be gentle," she cooed. I didn't intend to be wild when she was just two months pregnant anyway.
“Just tell me when you feel uncomfortable,” I informed her, only to be met with a moan. “Harder Gianni,” now I felt like she was speaking in tongues by making that request.
Two weeks later, I took Molly for her maternity check when she suddenly froze. "Gianni, isn't that Wade?"
