It felt like a dream seeing Molly again, and I couldn't help but wonder what Don Gio had done to make her look so radiant. She exuded beauty and joy, but the most remarkable change was her newfound confidence and ability to stand up to bullies.
It was evident that Molly's transformation was a result of Don Gio's influence, and when he arrived, everything became clear. Despite rumors of his stoic demeanor, Don Gio was beaming with joy, showering Molly with attention and cracking jokes.
Witnessing Molly's happiness and Don Gio's rare display of affection put my concerns about his family at ease. It was a reminder that love, even if fleeting, is worth experiencing.
However, the confession that followed shattered the moment. Learning that Molly's sister was responsible for their parents' deaths and Molly's ordeal was heartbreaking.
It was a cruel twist of fate that left me feeling sorrowful for their family. For an accident to claim someone like Kiara would be too merciful. If the confession were to come out after Kiara's death, it would not be believed.
It would be more fitting for Kiara to endure the consequences of Molly's actions over the past few years.
"I honestly thought you were going to wait till your next public appearance. You have evidence to exonerate yourself. I have a video."
I showed her the footage I had captured, and coincidentally, Don Gio also had a copy. "That makes two videos," he informed Molly, who appeared to be considering my proposal.
"Alright, let her witness my triumph and confront the shame I have endured before we bring her down. I want her demise to mirror the tragedy she inflicted on my parents," Molly declared with resolve.
Previously, she might have been willing to let things slide, but that no longer seemed to be the case. Don Gio was already on the phone. "I want you to closely monitor Kiara Campbell. I will instruct you when to act, and it must appear as an accident."
After ending the call, he turned to Molly and reassured her, "Consider it done."
“Okay, so did Marie betray you? Why is she working with Wesley?" Molly asked. Don Gio smiled and playfully pinched her nose. "Don't jump to conclusions. Just wait for the surprise I have in store for you."
If someone had told me that someone like Don Gio would be like this, I wouldn't have believed it.
He picked up his phone and made a call. "Have you made any progress?" The response at the other end of the line was inaudible, but he gave an order.
"I want you to ruin his marriage. Give him false hope and then shatter it. Make Kiara feel the pain of betrayal."
Marie seemed like the right person for the job, as she could seduce any man, but unfortunately, she couldn't seem to seduce Don Gio.
Nevertheless, it was still better to stay on Don Gio's good side rather than his bad side, so I would say that Marie made a wise choice. After ending the call, he smiled at Molly once more.
"Do you have any idea now?" Molly responded to his question with a warm embrace that excited me. I've had terrible relationships with men over the years, so I haven't dated anyone for over a year and don't intend to.
Perhaps in time, I might consider adopting a child and becoming a single mom. "I think it's time for dessert," Molly beamed as the waiters filled the table with a variety of desserts.
The atmosphere was so warm that it felt like Kiara was never even there. Don Gio chatted casually with me, and I knew that without Molly, I wouldn't have had this opportunity.
Before I started working for Don Gio, Molly was the one who gave me the chance to make a living from backup singing, and through her, I've been able to interact with a man like Don Gio on a casual basis.
When we arrived at the club, it was already packed, and we caught a glimpse of Wesley's siblings working at the hotel. Molly deserves an award for making them succumb to her like this.
The club was booming with music when we arrived, and luckily, it was my day off, so I wasn't responsible for managing the club.
Everything was amazing when we checked into a private room. Molly was freely drinking, but I hesitated because Don was still my boss.
It wasn't until Molly requested to dance that I suggested going with her, but I was surprised when Don refused. I'll go with her, and you can join if you want."
Molly was already tipsy, so I wanted to be there because I felt Don might expose himself. However, he did not seem ashamed at all when Molly pulled him to the middle of the dance floor. I never knew Don was a good dancer.
He matched Molly’s moves perfectly, as if he had been practicing for a long time.
Standing there watching them dance, a guy walked up to me. “Hey, do you want to dance?”
Molly was safe, so why not? After all, the guy was hot. The dance began smoothly before the guy left briefly and returned with drinks. As soon as I took a sip, everything felt different.
“Did you drug me?” I was already feeling dizzy and couldn’t remember what was going on. Searching for Molly, I couldn’t see her as everything turned blurry.
The next thing I knew, I was being lifted off my feet as the music faded in my ears.
However, I woke up alone with a pounding headache. The room was extremely quiet, and there was no sign of anyone. How did I end up here?
