Chapter 792 Do You Still Have Feelings for Her?
Hearing Olivia's words, Maya wasn't scared at all. Instead, she burst out laughing, laughing so wildly and unrestrained.
"Hahaha, this is hilarious! You two are putting on a show here. What gives you the right to deal with me? This is too funny. Fine then, go ahead and deal with me. What do I have to be afraid of? You're the ones who should be scared."
Seeing Maya acting so arrogant, Olivia actually felt quite suspicious. She thought Maya should be afraid when seeing them. How could she be so bold? What was she relying on?
Before she could speak, Laura spoke up again, "Mom, let's go. Let's just leave this matter as it is."
But this response confused Olivia even more. She frowned and said, "Laura, why would you want to let her go? This isn't like you at all."
Laura didn't say anything. Her face was just pale, her eyes evasive, looking restless and uneasy.
How could she tell Olivia that Vincent and Kimberly actually had a child together, and that she couldn't have children, meaning she could never have a child with Vincent? That meant she would never have any leverage in this lifetime.
"I don't want to deal with anything anymore. Let's go, Mom."
Although Olivia didn't understand Laura's decision, since she had said so, Olivia figured she must have her reasons. So she didn't push further, just glared hard at Maya.
Laura quickly signed the settlement agreement and pulled Olivia away.
Back at the Watson Villa, Laura returned to her room, closed the door, and started crying. Olivia stood outside anxiously knocking on the door, "Laura, open the door, let me in."
But no matter what Olivia said, Laura just wouldn't open the door. Her state was completely different from how she was at the police station.
Sharp, hoarse crying kept coming from inside the room, making people's hearts tremble. Laura was curled up in a corner, big tears sliding down from her eyes. She covered her face with both hands, crying her eyes out.
Olivia anxiously tried to comfort her from outside the door, but nothing she said helped.
Just then, Vincent walked over, "What happened?"
Olivia quickly told Vincent everything that had happened today. Hearing all this, Vincent frowned, his expression serious.
At that moment, the room door opened. Laura stood at the doorway. Her eyes were red and swollen, her hair messy. She stared at Vincent and slowly said, "Will you make Maya pay for this?"
In the room, Vincent said to Laura, "However you want to punish Maya, I'll satisfy you. I can bring her here and let you deal with her however you want."
"I want not only Maya to be punished, but Kimberly too."
Hearing this, the man frowned, "What does this have to do with Kimberly?"
Laura stared at him, "Because Maya is Kimberly's aunt."
Vincent's facial lines looked somewhat rigid, "So what if she's Kimberly's aunt? This has nothing to do with Kimberly. You can't drag her into this."
"Yes, I really can't drag her into this, but do you really think this has nothing to do with Kimberly?" Laura's attitude was very firm. Although she had no evidence, her gut feeling told her this matter was definitely connected to Kimberly.
Vincent's face was covered with a cold frost, "I know very well what the relationship between Maya and Kimberly is like. I also know very well what kind of person Kimberly is. She wouldn't instruct Maya to do this kind of thing. Everything was Maya's personal decision. So however you want to deal with Maya, I'll let you, but it has nothing to do with Kimberly."
Before Laura could speak, Olivia couldn't stand it anymore. She frowned, "Vincent, what do you mean by that? Kimberly is your ex-wife, and now you're taking her side?"
"I'm not taking anyone's side. I'm just telling you that whoever is at fault is at fault. Don't pin blame on people who aren't involved. Besides, Grandma really likes Kimberly. Even if it's me, if I casually make a move against her, Grandma won't let me off."
Although that's what he said, Laura and Olivia didn't take it seriously at all. In their minds, Vincent was the future person in power of the Watson Family, so they had never taken Amelia seriously.
In their eyes, Amelia didn't have much time left to live anyway.
"Vincent, you're not someone who's afraid of Grandma. You're not afraid of anything. Now you're saying this kind of thing for Kimberly's sake. Do you still have feelings for her!" Laura questioned hysterically.
Before, she had deliberately acted sweet in front of him to keep their relationship stable, but now she couldn't even keep up the act anymore.
Vincent had a cold, stern face and was speechless, "I'm just speaking based on facts. This matter has nothing to do with Kimberly. Why would I drag her into it?"
"You two stayed in the bedroom for so long that day, but when I knocked on the door, you pretended no one was there. You won't admit it to anyone, but you think I really don't know? I know very well what your relationship is! You may be divorced, but you've always been tangled up with each other!" Laura's state was somewhat breaking down, and she returned to that street-smart vibe she used to have.
Vincent's face was already covered with a layer of cold frost, his brows tightly knitted together, revealing a stern and intimidating look.
"I won't explain a second time something I've already explained. Think whatever you want, but I'm telling you, if you insist on dragging Kimberly into this, then I won't deal with Maya's matter either."
Hearing this, Laura's face became very ugly. She obviously didn't expect Vincent would go this far for Kimberly's sake.
At this moment, Laura couldn't help but recall what Maya had said to her today. She really wanted to blurt it out instantly, but with Olivia present, she still forced herself to hold back.
She had to keep playing dumb about this matter. She had to figure it out privately. Otherwise, if she confronted Vincent directly, she might not even be able to keep her position.
So she forced herself to control her emotions. Her hands were clenched into fists, trembling slightly from the excessive force.
"Then bring Maya here. I want to kill her."
"You can kill whoever you want, but you can't do it at the Watson Mansion. I'll bring her to a place where you can deal with her however you want." After saying that, Vincent left.
After he left, Laura finally couldn't suppress her emotions and started crying loudly. Olivia hugged her to comfort her, "Laura, don't be afraid. At least Vincent agreed to bring Maya here. You can vent your anger on her then. As for Kimberly, I'll go talk to him about it later."
