Chapter 414 Sarah, I Agree to Divorce
Oliver didn't do anything.
His tie bound her delicate wrists, trapping her completely in his embrace. She couldn't move, couldn't even call for help because he had half of her clothes undone.
He leaned over her, his blue eyes shimmering faintly in the moonlight as he gazed at her.
After a long while, he slowly nestled into her arms.
He was tall and strong.
Sarah, on the other hand, was slender and petite. He leaned into the crook of her shoulder, showing a rare vulnerability born from fear and anxiety.
He had always been confident, believing that no matter how much Sarah resisted, she could never truly leave him because he had power and could use various means to restrict her freedom.
But now, an unexpected turn had occurred: Matthew had been revealed as Sarah's biological father.
Matthew was terrifyingly powerful!
Oliver was betting everything he had on this gamble!
He wasn't afraid of losing or having nothing left. What he feared most was that even after losing everything, Sarah would still leave him.

He leaned on her thin shoulder, his voice barely audible.
"I'm sorry," he said.
Sarah didn't respond.
He knew she blamed him and wouldn't forgive him. He buried his face in her neck, pressing tightly against her, his prominent nose brushing against her smooth skin, repeatedly murmuring those words.

On the surface, he and Matthew seemed evenly matched, but Matthew had deep roots, while Oliver's apparent success was already showing signs of decline. He didn't know how long he could hold on, but he didn't want to give up.

He whispered to Sarah, "Vaughn came to see me. He said Matthew wants me to let you go. But Sarah, I don't want to let go."
Sarah turned her head, looking out at the dark night.
Her voice was slightly broken, "Let me go. Let's both be well."
Oliver's blue eyes fixed on her.
The next second, he pressed her soft body down and began to kiss her. He stripped her of her clothes, leaving her bare in his arms. He didn't do anything more; he just held her like a baby, his face pressed tightly against hers.
A hot tear rolled down from his eye, falling onto her chest.
It burned her, making her whole body tremble!
As dawn broke, he quietly left.
Before leaving, he dressed her. He held her face, kissing her red lips over and over. He didn't say anything more, just looked at her with his blue eyes, filled with an emotion she couldn't understand.
He left, only then untying her hands.
The moment she gained her freedom, Sarah's legs gave way.
Later, Oliver didn't appear again.
His struggle with Matthew had reached a fever pitch. Even with Terry's help, in Evergreen City, Matthew was still dominant, and no one could easily shake him.
Half a month later, Terry withdrew.
A month later, the Windsor Group faced multiple negative reports, and the stock plummeted for three consecutive days... The company's executives were so busy that they barely had time to sleep.
Zoey hadn't been home for two days.
With dark circles under her eyes, she walked into the CEO's office with a stack of documents for Oliver to sign.
Oliver was on the phone.
Matthew had called personally.
Matthew's tone was very gentle. "I can spare an hour at 8 PM. If you're free, come over. I want to discuss something with you."
Oliver gripped the phone, his knuckles white.
After a while, he heard his own voice, "Where?"
Matthew chuckled lightly. "At the Moore Mansion. I don't like discussing family matters in the office; too many prying eyes... it's not good."
Oliver hung up the phone.
He lowered his head, covering his face with his hands. He asked Zoey, "Have I lost everything?"
Zoey didn't answer for a long time.
Oliver leaned back in his leather chair, looking at Zoey. "I think they're all secretly selling Windsor Group's stock, right?"
He instructed Zoey, "Buy as much as they sell with my personal funds!"
Zoey thought it was unwise.
Oliver lit a cigarette. "I've lost face, but I can't lose everything! What do I need money for? I need to keep the Windsor Group's shell... as long as the foundation is there, we can rebuild!"
Zoey thought he was crazy.
Doing this, Oliver would go bankrupt!
But Oliver had made up his mind. He stubbed out his cigarette in the crystal ashtray and stood up. "I need to go home. You handle the company."
Oliver drove back to the villa.
By evening, the sky was filled with red clouds.
Oliver's black Rolls-Royce parked in the courtyard. He looked up at the house, then at the steering wheel in his hands and the high-end tailored clothes he was wearing.
These would soon be seized by the court.
He was going bankrupt!
He couldn't bear to part with this house. It was where he and Sarah had lived together, and soon he wouldn't even have a memory left.
When he got out of the car, the servants were surprised to see him.
"Mr. Windsor, you are back."
Oliver walked through the foyer and headed upstairs, "I just came to change clothes. I have an engagement later."
The servants hesitated.
They knew Oliver's business was struggling and were worried about their wages.
But no one dared to ask.
Oliver went to the second floor and opened the master bedroom door. The room was quiet, with a faint smell of dust. Sarah's light fragrance was almost gone.
He walked into the closet, choosing a formal suit.
He changed clothes and applied hair gel.
The man in the mirror still looked impeccable!
He went to the Moore Mansion with a driver.
The black car stopped,
Aaron was waiting there. Seeing Oliver get out, he smiled slightly. "Mr. Windsor, this way. Mr. Moore is waiting for you."
In the faint moonlight, Oliver looked handsome and dignified.
Matthew met him in the study.
The old-fashioned study had a pale pink glass lamp hanging.
Oliver stared at it.
Matthew followed his gaze and smiled lightly. "Sarah hung it up. She said it was easy on the eyes. I think she just likes pink things, but it doesn't suit my study."
He complained, but his heart was sweet.
Oliver felt a pang in his heart.
When Sarah was still his wife, she liked to hang little things around the house, preparing surprises for every holiday. But he never shared or showed off like Matthew did.
He was lost in thought.
Aaron served tea and left, closing the door.
The aroma of tea filled the room.
They finally began their negotiation.
Matthew sipped his tea. "I know your past. You worked hard to rebuild the Windsor Group and reclaim everything for your family. I don't think you'd give up your status for a woman. But as a father, I can do anything for my daughter."
Oliver just smiled faintly.
History is written by the victors!
Matthew was ruthless, crushing him for a month and now offering a deal!
Indeed, Matthew wanted him to divorce Sarah. The reward was a large new energy project in the north, enough to revive the struggling Windsor Group.
Oliver listened carefully.
Finally, he spoke softly, "I agree to the divorce. But I don't want your favors. I built the Windsor Group from nothing once and I can do it again."
Matthew's eyes were sharp.
He sneered. "Do you think you're still in your thirties?"
Oliver ignored the sarcasm.
He slowly stood up,
As he stood, he remembered thinking of negotiating with Matthew, considering various options, but in the end, he didn't want their marriage to become a business deal.
She always said their beginning was full of deceit.

He wondered if Sarah often visited Matthew or if she sat where he was sitting.
His fingers brushed the back of the sofa.
Matthew said, "Nicholas likes to sit there."
Oliver withdrew his hand, said nothing more, and walked to the door. He turned back. "Can I have that glass lamp?"
Matthew took it down and gave it to him.
Oliver gently touched the pink glass, soft and tender, like a young girl's shyness. It felt like touching Sarah's hand.
He whispered thanks.
His tall figure stepped into the night, his silhouette filled with loneliness.
Matthew felt a pang of sadness.
Aaron handed him tea. "Mr. Moore, don't be sad."
Matthew sighed. "I used all my connections to deal with a young man. It's not honorable! Aaron, if the Windsor family hadn't fallen, he and Sarah would have been a perfect match... what a pity!"
Aaron agreed, "Mr. Windsor is indeed outstanding."
Matthew sighed again.
The moonlight was pale.
As Oliver left, he saw Sarah.
She was sitting on a bench under the laurel tree, quietly reading a book. The moonlight bathed her face, giving her a soft, glass-like glow, beautiful and serene.
He was in a black suit, still impeccably dressed.
He looked down at her, speaking softly, "I came to see Mr. Moore. I agreed to his terms and got a big project. Sarah, I sold our marriage. When we got married, I never thought I'd profit from our divorce... now I think, I really made a gain!"
Sarah's face turned pale.
Oliver smiled self-deprecatingly. "Let's finalize the papers soon. Mr. Moore is watching my performance!"
He finished, his blue eyes fixed on her.
His eyes were warm, but he suppressed it.
Sarah never looked back! But she didn't expect the end to be so ugly and humiliating.
She forced a smile.
She agreed; no need to pick a special day, so tomorrow would do.
"Alright."
She walked away slowly,
He whispered to himself, standing in the wind, watching her back, holding the glass lamp that slipped from his hand.
Spring wind shattered, glass scattered!
