Liam

"No defect, they are developing quite well," the ultrasonographer said and I smiled as I looked at our babies on the screen.

She gave us the result of the ultrasound and the other results then she referred us back to the obstetrician.

"The babies are getting stronger but you need to rest ma'am, keep taking those drugs and rest well," The obstetrician said and I nodded like she was talking to me.

We left her office later and the driver drove us back home.

"You heard the doctor, you should rest well," I told Laura when we got home.

"You tell me, have I been doing other things other than resting?"

"Well, I can't say, you might have been stressing yourself behind my back," I said and she rolled her eyes.

"Stop joking around, I'm so tired," she said taking off her cloth.

"You are tired and you are taking off your cloth?" I asked smirking.

"I'm just changing into something comfortable sir, not what you think," she said opening the closet, she brought a short gown which she changed into.

"Are you changing?" She asked getting into bed.

"No, I'll just take off my shirt," I said then I took it off, I lay on the bed and she laid beside me placing her head on my chest.

I played with her hair and she caressed my chest drawing different lines on it, it felt good and relaxing.

"Liam,"

"Yes, baby,"

"You trust me, right?" She asked and I stopped playing with her hair.

"Of course I do," I said and she sat up making me sit up too.

"Can I ask you a question then?"

"Sure,"

"Um... How much do you have?" She asked making me smile.

"Baby girl, even I can't say the specific amount, at least not till the end of this month but girl we are talking billions of dollars,"

"Billions? Like a hundred billion?" She asked and I laughed.

"Much more than that,"

"Oh great, would you send me 50 billion dollars?" She asked and I frowned.

"Fifty billion dollars? What do you want to use it for?" I asked and she frowned too.

"I thought you trust me since you do, just send the money, you don't have to send it if you don't trust me," she said making move like she was going to lie back down but I held her hand to stop her.

"Okay, I'll do it, just give me the account," I said and she lifted the pillow, she brought out a piece of paper and she handed it to me.

I texted the accountant immediately, I sent him the details and I told him what to do.

"You'll receive it before tomorrow morning," I said and her face lit up.

"Really?" She asked and I nodded, she threw her hands around my neck and she kissed me on my cheek countless times.

"Thank you very much! I love you," she said giving me a loud kiss on the lips.

"Stop! You are making me get ideas," I said laughing and she bit her lips.

"Let's hear it," she said and I raised a brow.

"No girl, you said you are tired,"

"Believe me, I'm not too tired to hear the ideas you have,"

"Great, but I was thinking, why tell you, when I can show you," I said straddling her, I took my time in sharing the ideas I had with her.

A few hours later, I watched as she slept, she looked really beautiful and peaceful, I reached out and I smoothened her hair then I caressed her cheek.

"I love you," I whispered with a huge smile on my face, I picked up my phone and I went through my chats, I saw a message from someone I never imagined getting a message from.

"Nathalie," I whispered opening the message and reading it to myself.

'I know we've not been talking Liam, but I thought I should let you know this, I've been hearing things about your wife, crazy and unbelievable things, I just want you to be very careful, call me when you see this.'

I blocked her number immediately after I finished reading her message, Nathalie would do anything if she wants something and it seemed like she was trying to put doubts in my mind so I could leave Laura and turn to her.

"I'm not going to let that happen," I said about to put my phone down when my phone beeped, a notification that Ethan sent me a message popped up on the screen and I tapped on the notification to open the message.

"I need to talk to you about something serious, we should talk when I bring Tracy and Isabella back tomorrow,"

The message looked complicated and it made me feel weird so I did the most reasonable thing I could think of, I dropped my phone and pulled Laura closer, she, in turn, snuggled closer to me and I fell asleep in no time.

Ethan brought Tracy and Isabella back the next morning, he took me outside after we exchanged pleasantries.

"What's going on? What is so serious that you have to tell me?" I asked after we settled on the bench.

"It is about Laura," he said making me frown.

"What about her?"

"Do you remember that day at the hospital, the day she said she wanted to get trousers," he said and I nodded.

"That day she left us at the cloth store for about twenty minutes but I followed her just to be sure she was safe, I saw her enter a coffee shop and she sat with a guy that had on a nose mask,"

"I was suspicious and when she returned to the store I asked her where she went to and she told me she only went to use the restroom, that made me more suspicious so I investigated and Liam, I think Laura is keeping secrets," Ethan said and I stood up already getting angry.

"Thanks, I'm sure it is nothing much," I said and he stood up too.

"Okay, if you say so, let's get back inside," he said and we went back inside, the ladies were not in the sitting room so we went upstairs.

We were going to check Tracy's room but I started hearing voices coming from my room, we moved there and I saw that the door was slightly open, I was about to enter when I heard something that made me freeze where I was.

"I'm done with him Tracy, I'm done with Liam and I'm ready to move on,"

"Laura, are you crazy? When did you become like this? Are you possessed?" I heard Tracy ask and Laura chuckled.

"You know I've always been like this Tracy,"

"I thought you've changed,"

"Well I haven't, and I've gotten what I want from Liam Miller, I'm leaving girl, I'm so sorry you fell in love but I wish you happiness," Laura said and I felt very weak, I was really weak but I managed to push the door open to see Tracy, Isabella, and Laura who was carrying a suitcase.
