Chapter37
He grabbed her by the neck, noticed her eyes turning red, and slowly let go. “Back then, when I was out socializing and came home a bit late, you sniffed all over my clothes like a dog, scared you’d smell another woman’s perfume. You watched me so closely back then, and now you say stuff like this? What, can’t wait to get divorced or some- thing?”
He was clearly smiling, but there was no real smile in his eyes. His emotions were churning, and hate was mixed in there too.
Adrienne just felt surprised, what right did Garrett have to hate her?
He left her at Cloudhaven Mansion for three years, kept someone at Greystone Estate, and even went out with Bethany all the time. She, his so-called wife, became the laughingstock of all Gerberton. Everyone said she was a bad woman, but she was the one who really deserved all of this!
She laughed, tried to back away, but Garrett suddenly pinned her to the seat.
“You wanted a divorce to be with someone else, dream on! Adrienne, even if I die, you’re stuck with me!”
He yanked her pants down without mercy, just barged in like that, letting it all out with no rhythm at all.
Adrienne was like a dying swan, her neck stretched up, and big tears were falling down.
She gave herself to Garrett the night she became an adult, but he felt so sorry for her that he didn’t dare touch her, only gave her a gentle kiss on the lips.
Back then, both of them were curious about this kind of thing. She wanted to give herself to him, but he was afraid of wronging her, so they just held each other all night in that cheap rental room.
Now he had money and tons of power, but what he gave her was this kind of pain-it hurt down to her bones. She wished she could cut her heart out, so she wouldn’t feel anything anymore.
When was the last time they did it? Adrienne couldn’t remember anymore.
Her body hadn’t been touched by anyone for at least three years, she just felt pain.
It hurt so much that her body trembled a little. Garrett’s hand landed on her waist. He noticed she was even more tense than the first time and his tone got a bit softer.
“Relax.”
Adrienne was pinned to the seat and wouldn’t relax. Her tears just kept streaming down.
Garrett was upset, upset that she couldn’t take a hint, and even more upset that a few of her tears seemed to grab his
heart.

He picked her up and sat her on his lap, one hand patiently comforting her trembling back.
Adrienne didn’t buy it, kept struggling more and more, and in the end, it made him uncomfortable too.
He gritted his teeth, sweat rolling down his forehead, leaned his back, and his Adam’s apple moved.
“Is it that you didn’t want to do it with me, or has it just been too long?”
He was a bit surprised. If she’d had any recent experience, she wouldn’t be like this now.
Too dry.
He took a deep breath and buried his head in her neck, “Adrienne, does it hurt?”
Adrienne couldn’t hear anything in her head anymore and just passed out.
“Adrienne!”
Garrett said “fuck,” quickly got her together, and carried her into the room.

Carlos was called over and saw Adrienne lying on the bed, looking pale. He couldn’t help but frown and asked, “Where exactly do you feel unwell?”
“How the hell would I know?”
Garrett held Adrienne’s hand and saw that she was still sweating on her forehead.
Carlos knew he was anxious, so he checked his temperature first. No fever. “Go get a bowl of sugar water, it’s low blood sugar.”
Garrett immediately told the servant to bring some sweet soup.
Carlos kept checking and heard Adrienne quietly sobbing, saying it hurt down there.
He was wearing white gloves on his hands, and when he heard that, he looked at Garrett.
Garrett was rarely uncomfortable. He scratched his head with one hand, “Couldn’t help it.”
Carlos didn’t say anything, lifted the blanket to check, but got his wrist grabbed by him.
