Chapter 80. Growing up together.

Gong Maye glanced at Sheng Yeting and saw that Sheng Yeting was still indifferent. She answered before Sheng Yeting could speak: "I am a distant relative of his."

Considering the secret marriage they had, Gong Maye thought it was better to let no one know.

Sheng Yeting frowned and took a displeased look at Gong Maye. He saw the stubbornness in Gong Maye's eyes, he said nothing at last.

After hearing Gong Maye's answer, Liang Fengyue breathed out in relief obviously, but still felt a little worried.

Then she changed the topic and asked tentatively, "May I sit here?"

"Be my guest." Gong Maye gave a natural gesture.

Liang Fengyue did not hesitate and sat right next to Sheng Yeting.

Bao already realized there was something wrong with this woman. Seeing she was about to sit down, Bao was displeased. As Bao was about to protest, his mouth was stuffed with a piece of chicken leg suddenly.

"Ah..." Bao looked at the culprit looking aggrieved.

"Eat your food. Children are not allowed to interrupt when adults talk." Gong Maye warned him in whisper.

Seeing his mommy looked angry, Bao was scared. He did not dare to say a word and lowered his head, began to eat in grievance.

Liang Fengyue didn't see their subtle movement. She hadn't taken her eyes off of Sheng Yeting since she sat down.

With Liang Fengyue's gaze, Sheng Yeting felt a little uncomfortable, he could not help but change the topic and asked: "When will you leave this time?"

Liang Fengyue had been living abroad for many years, she would just visit her parents and Sheng Yeting when she came back. So Sheng Yeting was not surprised.

However, this time Liang Fengyue did not look as disappointed as before. Instead, she said excitedly, "Yeting, you are wrong. I'm not going to leave this time. I'm taking over my family's business, and I'm counting on your help."

"Well, no problem." Sheng Yeting nodded. He looked indifferent all along pertain to Liang Fengyue coming back.

Liang Fengyue felt more and more unsure. After all, they hadn't seen each other in years, Sheng Yeting should not show such facial expression.

She was gonna ask Sheng Yeting if he had been well in the last few years. But in this situation, she thought about it for a moment, but could not say it in the end.

Because the woman sitting across her could not be ignored. Thinking of it, Liang Fengyue looked at Gong Maye and asked intentionally and tentatively: "Which relative of his family are you? Why haven't I met you? I grew up with Yeting since we were kids. I think I know all his relatives."

Sheng Yeting left the restaurant first, Bao was following him closely by his side and was pulling on his sleeve. Because his mommy did not allow him to speak, Bao was pouting in grievance.

Liang Fengyue saw that Sheng Yeting wasn't gonna give her a lift, she felt a little disappointed. She finally decided to seize the opportunity. "Yeting," she said with a chuckle, "I'm not familiar with this city since I came back. Why don't we go get some coffee and you can fill me in on what happened here recently?"

She had no choice because the person she liked was too unattainable.

Liang Fengyue was a very proud woman. It took her a lot of courage to say those words in fact.

She thought Sheng Yeting wouldn't refuse, but she did not expect that when he looked down at Bao, he shook his head for the first time.

"I'm taking them home." It was his usual tone, but it was undisputed.

Liang Fengyue opened her mouth but swallowed what she was gonna say at last. She just made a sound of understanding.

Sheng Yeting did not say another word and led Gong Maye and Bao into his car.

Liang Fengyue was sensible. She had known Sheng Yeting for many years and knew he hated women who badger, so she had been controlling herself to seem casual.

But as she watched Sheng Yeting left with the mother and son, she was still in shock.

Over the years, although she was abroad, she still knew a lot about Sheng Yeting's affairs. She knew that there was no one with him except the woman many years ago.

What's more, every woman who had been near Sheng Yeting over the years, she knew about them!

Just recently, Liang Fengyue was busy dealing with returning, so she did not pay much attention to Sheng Yeting. But she did not expect a "relative" would suddenly appear by his side!

Thinking of them being together just now, especially the overly close relationship between that child and Sheng Yeting and their strikingly similar eyebrows and eyes, Liang Fengyue became more and more unsure of whether what Gong Maye said was true.

Looking at Sheng Yeting's leaving car, Liang Fengyue changed her meek appearance and squinted her eyes threateningly. It seemed she should really ask someone about it.

Liang Fengyue picked up her phone and made a phone call.

"Xiyun, it's me. I'm back."

"Fengyue, you came back, it's great!" Jiang Xiyun sounded excited clearly. He seemed to be muttering something in a low voice, and then, sensing his faux pas, he stopped.

"Where are you? Come and have tea with me." Liang Fengyue said directly.

"Ok, send me your location and I'll get to you right away." Jiang Xiyun agreed readily and hung up hurriedly.

Bao was sitting in the car, bouncing his glance between his mommy and daddy. Seeing both of them were silent, he was unhappy.

Mommy did not let him speak, he was suffocating. Bao endured for a little longer, finally, he cracked. He looked at Sheng Yeting with his big eyes and asked questioningly: "Daddy, who was that woman? Do you know each other?"

He did not like that woman. He felt the way that woman looked at daddy was not right. But Bao did not dare to say so.

"She is the daughter of a family friend. We grew up together." Sheng Yeting was being honest and gave a simple explanation to Bao. But as he was saying that, he was looking at Gong Maye intentionally.
