Chapter 80 Chapter 80

Chapter 80 Chapter 80
Third Person POV

The self-confidence she was feeling that moment didn't just come from a moment of cheers and praise, but it was a confidence that came from the self-assurance of knowing what she knew and knowing quite clearly that no matter what or where she was called to defend herself she will forever come out with flying colours.

On the other sides, it was clear that the other nine winners were feeling the same way, too. Their charming faces were filled with smiles and pride, if only they were given wings.

But then the vice chancellor stepped onto the stage and stopped, giving the atmosphere that she needed for students to quiet down. It took two minutes later for it to happen though. "Today is really a wonderful day for each and every one of us not only the contestants. Our school have been presenting this country for as long as history could keep. It can even be traced back to when I was still a student here so you could imagine. All those years, we have won many times, and we have also made it to the semi-finals and even many times in the final. But above all, our record so far during the world student meet has ever been and has remained the best so far till today" She paused and looked around.

"Don't think because you won amongst your fellow students you have made it in life. What we just did now is just a bonus compared to the real stage. There, you will be facing people who abandoned their parents and follow books to the extent that there is nothing that they did not know" As she talked about abandoning parents and choosing books, the students laughed, but she wasn't at all. "There are also those who dedicated their existence to upgrading and improving their beauty to the extent that they practically looked like angels. There are even those who are best in the two. Trust me, there are really geniuses out there and it's the reason behind why we don't win every year. Don't think too much about yourselves but rather, go home and focus on improving. And still, don't forget that even though our school ends up winning, you might not be the person who won but the person next to you, which means the person who was going to attract all the opportunities will still not be you, so strive to really be the winner. Once more, congratulations to you all for being chosen, and we, not only the students and university as a whole but also our country, are waiting for your triumphant return; thank you!" she ended, and louder cheers reverberated throughout the whole hall.

She calmly left the stage and the hall, but before she disappeared, she signalled for Charles to follow him immediately. Inside the hall, Natalia sighed and started leaving "Hello angel, please wait" She heard a sexy but charming voice behind her, as she turned she saw it was the beautiful Jeremy that was calling. Even as he smiled and approached her it felt like the whole world was meant to worship and admire him. "I'm Jeremy Kings; nice to meet you,", he said, and Natalia nodded. Although the unbelievable handsomeness of Jeremy was suffocating and Natalia wasn't entirely immune to them but she still acted calm.

"I think your name should be obvious to me by now" she smiled a little and it was as if the sun got more brighter. "Yeah, right", Jeremy chuckled, his eyes twinkling. "I have been watching you all these while, and it seems you are perfect in every aspect. I never thought that medicine would be easily interpreted by you so easily making it seem like it's just a child's play. I know I wasn't the only one who was awed at that," he said, and each and every word coming out of his mouth was like the whisper of sex and, at the same time, telling the wonder of the world. Natalia couldn't resist from gulping down in amazement.

"You are also marvellous yourself. You made the law seem like the natural order of heaven and the way you answered all your questions although I don't know too much about judiciaries but I felt like you are fit to be made a chief judge already or even more than that, your understanding of it is already out of the world" she said and a pink colour appeared on the beautiful man's cheek. "I never thought I would be getting your attention during the competition; thanks so much, too," he said, and then there was an awkward silence in the air. "If there is nothing else, I will be leaving to hmm... prepare", she said.

"No wait... Can I... have your number? I would like to get to know you more," Jeremy said, and Natalia was surprised at first but then smiled a little "If it's just friends, I don't mind, but if it's more than that, then I'm sorry, I can't help you," she said. "No no... It's just friends, really," he said. She smiled and nodded whilst handing her phone over to him. After a while, he was done exchanging, and they waved at each other; with him promising to call her later, they went their ways.

Inside Lucy's office. She had been sitting on her expensive seat for a while now, but then the door clicked open, and a handsome male stepped in. Although he wasn't giving away any expression but he didn't dare to look into her eyes. "What took you so long?" she asked. Charles's face was still, but his eyes shifted a little. "What do you want?" he asked, finally looking at Lucy, but it was a mistake on his part as all the things she did to him last night flooded into his mind, making his cheeks tint redder and redder. Lucy chuckled and stood up. "Come into our private room, but naked. And I don't want to repeat myself" she said and disappeared in there. Charles stood where he was, although all his being wanted him to turn and run but deep down him he knew that there was something keeping him there.
