Grace POV
My mind was racing at all these findings. If the mighty Valentine is only a high low-level lord, then who are those at the high-level high lord? And he has made it clear that although they are very few but he is still not the only high low level lord. He chuckled "Knowing these are already enough for you right now, you don't need to know who are the high level high lord as it won't do you any good" he paused and then turn his gaze towards me.
"As for your stay here just know that it's indefinite for the time being. As for Jake, I will handle him" he said with a smile. "Please don't kill him" I blurted out immediately. "Calm down girl, I won't. Besides, how can I when his sons are high lords of our world? Unless I want all my people to be buried alive or I find a way to kill both of them first, if not, killing Jake is impossible" he said and left the room.
I sat on the edge of the bed in silence not knowing the decision to take. Trying to escape here is already out of the question as it's impossible, and again, I cannot use my phone for now, according to him. I'm totally stuck here for real...
Natalia POV
I woke up the next morning but the intense sex I had the other night was still so vivid in my mind. It was as if a movie was replaying in my mind, and even the replay alone was enough to stir my body; I gulped hard and tried my best not to think about it as I headed towards my bathroom to wash up and then towards the dining. When I reached there I couldn't help but notice the tension hanging in the air. Jake was digging into his food after every three minutes of deep thought. The twins were eating calmly but I could feel the anger in them. Kane was neutral as always, eating away his food whilst bathing in its taste.
I quietly sat between the two and picked up my plates. Although I wanted to ask but I wasn't able to bring myself to do so. "I know that you both are very powerful in that territory. I don't know how powerful, but you can actually get her back from that son of a bitch if you want to," Jake suddenly spoke before digging in once more. I could feel that the food wasn't giving any taste to him at that moment.
"Oh? Are you begging us?" Adrain said, not even bothering to look up as he continued his food. Jake gritted his teeth and clenched his hands for more than three minutes before relaxing them. "Please", he surrendered and finally begged, but still, the twin didn't react at all. 'What is happening here?' I asked myself inwardly, and it was then that my eyes darted on the whole of the dining and my mom was nowhere to be found.
"Where is my mom? Jake?" I asked, and immediately then, Brian came in and sat down on his seat, not knowing what was happening too, making me puzzled. How is it possible that Kane was aware of something Brian wasn't aware of?
My question remained unanswered, making me turn over to the twins, but they smiled at me but said nothing. "Nate? Adrain?" Jake called out to both of them one more time, and I could feel that Adrain was only a second away from snapping. "And you think we will just let what you did to us my years back go just like that? Because you said sorry? 'chuckles' It's not possible, old man," Nate said. "Then what do you want me to do? How do you want me to beg? Don't forget that she is the mother of your..." before Jake could finish his sentence Adrain cut him off with a hard glare "Try and complete those few words and see if I dare not present you over to Valentine and let you work as one of his men" The dining immediately fall into silence, Brian and I still confused.
Only Kane was busy drinking his juice with all happiness. If I didn't know any better, I would even think that that juice has a more special sweetness at this moment by the way he enjoys it.
After a few moments of sil,ence "We can't act, now Jake. We haven't acted for moments for a reason, and we can't give it up like that because you were cuckolded by a young man" As Nate spoke, Kane's interest was clearly piqued at the first half of his sentence, probably curious of something but he still didn't ask. "You have to bear with it for a while and let him taste her for a while. Later, we will know what we will do about it," Nate added, and Adrain said nothing, showing that he was fully in agreement with Nate.
Jake was still not reacting. He was not ready to wait at all. "Or you can find a way to meet up with Valentine in his domain and demand her release; it is a third option, which you can do if you want to", Nate said. "Or you can try telling us what happened to our mother, if not fuck off of here", Adrain cut in, his gaze so deadly as if he was trying his best to suppress the urge to strangle Jake right here and now. Jake, who was hesitating earlier, stood up and left the room immediately.
"Where is my mom?" I asked the table once more, but more like asking the twins. "Grace left for a while, so she will be returning, but it won't be soon, but don't worry. Nothing will happen to her, just continue your thing" Nate said. Then, Kane stood up and left with a smile still. "What was that?" Brian couldn't control his curiosity anymore and asked. "Shut up", the two said at the same time, and I nearly laughed, if not from the anger exuding from them.
