Chapter 39
Clarie and Lucas took a selfie from a distance, showing the Eiffel Tower behind them. Clarie looks so excited. Even though the sun was shining brightly, the cold air still made them cold. Clarie and Lucas walked hand in hand towards the iconic tower. Queuing up to take the tower elevator, Clarie was very curious about the view of Paris from tens of meters high.
"You won't be scared, will you, honey?" Lucas confirmed, holding Clarie's jaw to look up at him.
Clarie then looked at Lucas with a sharp gaze. " What do you mean honey. Are you mocking me that I'm a coward?! Clarie let go of her hand from Lucas' grip.
"No-no that's not what I meant Say-"
Ting!
The elevator doors opened, empty... no one was inside. Clarie and the other people rushed into the elevator, Clarie looked away lazily at her husband. Lucas rushed in, followed into the elevator. Then the elevator took them up to the first floor of the tower.
Lucas and Clarie were separated by several people because Clarie entered first. Lucas had to be patient for the next few minutes until they arrived at the first floor of the tower. Lucas occasionally looked back to make sure his wife was okay, Clarie's gaze signaled the woman asking for help.
Lucas understood because Clarie was pinned back, pinned down by several women and men. Lucas couldn't bear it but what could it be, the situation in the elevator was really crowded. Clarie was sorry that because she was angry with Lucas she was miserable like that.
'Damn it, why does it have to be this many on the elevator? Are they also foreign tourists like me?'
Not long after, the elevator stopped. Clarie suddenly got angry, afraid that the elevator would get stuck because it was too crowded inside. But, apparently, her guess was wrong, the elevator stopped and the door opened. Brands one by one are scrambling to come out first. Clarie could breathe a sigh of relief and apparently her husband didn't move at all from where he was standing, after everyone left Lucas then grabbed his wife and asked her out.
"Are you satisfied being away from me?" sneered Lucas, smiling. He invited Clarie to walk slowly, around there.
"I'm sorry, I was wrong for leaving you earlier," said Clarie apologetically. "I almost died because of being squeezed by those people," she continued.
Clarie leaned her head on her husband's shoulder, Lucas stroked his wife's hair gently and planted a kiss on her head.
"Later you can be unlucky if you stay away from me, you can even get lost and get lost. And you will-"
"Stop!" interrupted Clarie. "I already apologized right? Can we just enjoy this view? I really like this, let's take a picture together," Clarie asked, stood up straight and took her cell phone from her sling bag.
"You don't have a problem with heights do you?" Lucas asked, looking down at Clarie's feet.
"What?" asked Clarie back, she was busy with her cellphone looking for a good photo spot. She then looked at her husband and followed his gaze.
gosh!
Clarie was shocked, she almost forgot how to breathe, she walked backwards holding on to the iron behind her. Lucas stepped forward to calm his wife who was afraid of heights.
"I warned you from the start, but you're stubborn. So now let's just go home."
"No." Clarie shook her head, she clung to her husband's arm. "Please hold me, I won't look down, hehe...but I'm curious."
Clarie glanced down at her feet, feeling like she would fall 57 meters from standing on the glass floor.
"Don't bite your lips, you make me want to enter you right now," Lucas whispered right in his wife's ear.
Clarie smiled, covering her mouth with her palm after slapping Lucas' arm lightly.
“Was that just on your mind? Don't answer yes, because later I will try to stay away from you," Clarie replied.
Lucas smiled, Clarie was stunned because her husband could smile because in his daily life, he rarely smiled because he was a cold type of guy.
They then stood to the side and looked at the city, at least they could see the buildings which were dominated by white, neatly arranged with the trees around them.
"You said you wanted to take a trip to the Seine, did you forget that?" Lucas asked as Clarie paused, more like opening her mouth into an O.
"I still want to go up," said Clarie smiling while pointing up the tower.
"You're not tired, Miss Evans?" Lucas rolled his eyes.
"Not at all Mr. Henderson..." Clarie replied smiling then walked slowly away from her husband, Lucas caught up and they went into the elevator to go up to the next floor.

Lucas and Clarie were content to enjoy the view from the height of the Eiffel Tower. They walked to their next destination, the Seine River.
"Would you like some coffee?" asked Lucas to start the chat.
Clarie looked at her husband and then said. "Sure, it's getting colder in here."
Lucas then took one of his wife's hands and tucked it in his fur coat. "Let's go there." His eyes and chin were pointed forward, somehow Clarie didn't quite understand yet.
"Rent a bike?" asked Clarie, they kept walking and Lucas quickened his pace making Clarie also try to match her husband's wide step.
"No, we're on that ship."
"Ooh, well. Great idea, honey." They walked quickly to one of the ships parked on the banks of the Seine river with a length of 776 kilometers which divides the city of Paris into two parts. The Seine flows through Paris and into the English Channel at Le Havre, dotted with dozens of bridges.
Lucas helped his wife board the ship after paying 28 euros to the officers.
"Take care, honey," Lucas said, nodding from Clarie. The woman chose a seat on the boat, indulged her eyes and enjoyed the cool air with a beautiful view of this romantic city.
"Come on, let's sit over there," Clarie said, pointing to an empty seat in the middle of the boat. The woman was enthusiastic, just like a child. Holding Lucas to follow in her footsteps, her husband could only sigh and obey his wife's wishes. For him, Clarie's happiness is now the most important thing, making sure his wife smiles and doesn't sulk.
The ship accelerated shortly after Claria and Lucas sat down, there were quite a lot of passengers on board. From the tone and accent, it can be ascertained that most of them were foreign tourists, only a few local tourists.
"Ah, is that a cruise ship?" asked Clarie looking at the ship that looked luxurious passing by the ship they were on.
"Yes, honey, why?" Lucas replied after seeing the passing ship.
"Too bad I wanted to go on that ship, I thought all ships were the same," Clarie said, looking down, it was clear that she was annoyed, sorry.
"You want to go on that? Why didn't you say so? We can get off at the first stop and take another cruise," Lucas replied casually while stroking the back of his wife's hand.
"Ah, really?" Clarie raised her head, eyes sparkling. But... there's no need to waste money, it's better to save the money than to use it for unnecessary things."
"Why? It's not difficult, if you want we can get off at the Jardin des Plantes."
"No, honey. That's not necessary, I want to spend your money to buy food and souvenirs," said Clarie, smiling, holding Lucas' hand. He wasn't angry, he was happy about it.
"Yes, spend it all Clarie, I will work even harder."
"I was just kidding, honey."
"No, don't be joking, I'm even happy if you can use money from me, it's a sign that you're loyal."
"Yeah, I am loyal, Mr. Henderson. But what do you mean by that?" Clarie wondered.
"Don't worry about it, just stay by my side, don't go anywhere without my permission."
"The timing is not right, honey." Clarie glanced right and left, then planted a kiss on Lucas' cheek, the man was shocked to be silent for a moment. His cheeks flushed at Clarie's actions.
"What do you mean, honey?" he asked.

In that narrow room Marion held a white telephone receiver, looking at the other person with expectant eyes. "Please, spy on them Alex, papa will definitely agree and want to pay you, if papa doesn't agree I will pay you with my own money, you don't have to worry about money problems."
"B-but that's not my job" Alexander stammered, he was fascinated with Marion even though she clearly had a deviation.
"Consider it an additional job, I already believe in you, Please," Marion begged again.
"I'll think about that."
"Don't you think, you better catch up with them soon, I don't know when they will come back, so please do this for me, Please..."
"Eum-okay, I'll do it. But, please don't drag me into a bigger problem."
"No, Babe. You just need to report their activities, where they went to spend their vacation time, that's all I ask," pleaded Marion, seducing with her ability.
"Okay, I'm leaving now."
"Thanks, Alex." Marion put down the receiver, stared into the transparent glass, one finger telling Alexander to come closer to the glass. No, stick and..
Cups!
Marion pressed her lips right on the glass in front of Alex's lips, even though it was blocked by the transparent glass but managed to make Alex's heart jump from its place with joy.
