Chapter 622

Chapter 622

Paxton, the technical director, perked up. "Ms. Spencer, are you talking about the emotional feedback system? We tested your studio's demo, and the 0.017-second delay is just..."

"Paxton," Henry cut in with a grin, "let's save the tech talk for the meeting room. Today, let's show Ms. Spencer around our main departments."

For the next two hours, Zoey got a whirlwind tour of the key development areas, with Henry by her side.

Each project team had its own office and testing space. Engineers were so absorbed in their screens, filled with code and 3D models, they didn't even notice their boss walking by.

"Star Expedition is our big release this year," Henry said, pushing open a soundproof door on the seventh floor. Inside, dozens of testers were deep into a space exploration game. "The engine is completely self-developed, with top-notch physics simulation."

Zoey put on the test glasses and was instantly blown away by the realistic starry sky.

When a meteor zipped past her, she instinctively ducked.

"Incredible," Zoey said, taking off the glasses, her eyes shining with excitement. "If we add our haptic feedback system, the immersion would be at least three times better."

Henry's eyes lit up at the idea.

He leaned in close to Zoey, his voice husky with excitement. "Just think, when your VR tech meets my gaming empire, we'll be starting a whole new era in gaming."

Their eyes met, and they saw the same burning ambition in each other's gaze.

At that moment, they weren't just lovers; they were like-minded partners on the brink of a technological revolution.

"Mr. Windsor," John, the assistant, interrupted at just the right moment, "the press conference starts in an hour. Should I take the kids to the lounge?"

Henry suddenly remembered Gabriel and Travis, who had been left to their own devices.

Travis was pressed against the glass wall of the experience area, eagerly eyeing the gaming equipment inside, while Gabriel stood at the end of the hallway, thoughtfully staring at a server's indicator lights.

"John, take them to the experience area to play for a bit."

Henry rubbed his temples, feeling a bit guilty as he looked at Zoey. "We need to go over the process with the PR team in the meeting room."

Zoey nodded, crouching down to give Gabriel and Travis some instructions. "Listen to John and don't run off. Mommy and Daddy will be back soon."

Travis cheered and immediately ran to John. "I want to play the dinosaur game!"

Gabriel, however, remained still, his face unusually serious. "Mom, can I go see the central processor?"

The adults were taken aback by the question.

John awkwardly cleared his throat, "Gabriel, the processor room is boring, just a bunch of machines and code..."

"I want to see the cooling system and data throughput."

Gabriel's tone was calm, not at all like a four-year-old. "I've seen similar setups at Mom's studio."

Zoey didn't seem surprised by Gabriel's statement.

Her studio did have similar server setups, though she couldn't recall when Gabriel had been in the tech area.

"Let Gabriel go," Zoey finally said, gently pushing Gabriel's back. "But don't touch any buttons, okay?"

After John left with Gabriel and Travis, Henry couldn't help but ask, "When did Gabriel get so interested in servers?"

Zoey shook her head, smiling at Henry. "He's always been sensitive to electronics."

She paused. "Maybe he picked it up from my books? Gabriel loved flipping through my technical manuals when we were abroad."

Henry chuckled. "Looks like we've got a little genius on our hands."

In the experience area, Travis was already fully immersed in a dinosaur adventure game.

Wearing special VR glasses for kids, he waved his hands in the air, occasionally letting out excited squeals.

John kept an eye on him while sneaking glances at Gabriel, who was quietly sitting in a corner.

The four-year-old was intently focused on a children's tablet, which displayed not cartoons but a complex waveform graph.

"Gabriel, don't you want to play a game?" John asked, crouching down curiously.

Gabriel didn't look up. "I'm analyzing data."

"Data?" John was puzzled. "What data?"

Gabriel finally looked up, his bright eyes meeting John's. "The data stream from the server. Your main system has abnormal fluctuations, like a hidden program running in the background."

John nearly choked on his own saliva. He stared wide-eyed, unsure if he had heard correctly. "You can understand this?"

Gabriel looked at him like he was a fool. "Of course, Mom taught me basic programming."

He pointed to the tablet. "This is a simple analysis program I wrote. It's limited, but it can detect abnormal data packets."

John was speechless, unable to find the right words.

The four-year-old in front of him spoke like a seasoned programmer.

"Don't worry," Gabriel added, his tone surprisingly mature. "I won't steal any trade secrets. Mom said the code programmers write is valuable intellectual property."

John nodded mechanically, his mind filled with one thought: Gabriel truly was the son of Mr. Windsor and Ms. Spencer.

Half an hour later, when John brought Gabriel and Travis back to Henry, the press conference was ready to begin.

Paxton, the technical director, crouched down, smiling at Travis. "Travis, did you enjoy the game?"

Travis tilted his head, thinking. "It was fun, but not as cool as the games at Mom's studio."

He gestured animatedly. "The games there are like being in Jurassic Park, even the dinosaur breath feels hot!"

The executives exchanged skeptical glances, their faces showing disbelief.

Could they take a four-year-old's word seriously? Travis must be exaggerating.

Zoey coughed awkwardly, patting Travis's head. "Travis, that's not polite."

"But I'm not lying!" Travis pouted. "Gabriel played it too, he can tell you!"

All eyes turned to the usually silent Gabriel.

Gabriel nodded seriously. "In terms of VR reality technology, the game Travis just played is indeed behind the market's cutting edge. Mom's studio's emotional feedback system achieves a 0.017-second delay, while the Windsor Game Company's current public technology is still above 0.1 seconds."

The room fell silent.

The executives' expressions shifted from surprise to embarrassment, finally settling on disbelief. This four-year-old not only knew technical terms but could also accurately state technical parameters!

Henry broke the silence first, laughing as he picked up Gabriel. "Well said! That's why Mom's studio is merging with Dad's company. Together, we'll create the best games in the world!"
