Chapter 64
"Oh, I promise, Matt, I'll never gossip to the family about you and Miss Susie again, so please don't get back at me."
Gian held up his fingers and swore.
Susie covered her mouth and giggled, "Gian, I've never seen you this embarrassed, especially over a woman."
"If you don't want to take responsibility, did you use protection last night?"
Somme leaned close to Gian and asked quietly.
Hearing Somme's words, Gian scratched his hair in frustration, "I think I didn't. I can barely even remember what happened last night."
Hearing Gian's excuse, Somme covered her mouth and giggled.
"See, what an irresponsible thing to say," Nick said.
"What if that blonde girl gets pregnant?" Susie looked at Gian.
"Then I guess I'll be losing a lot of money," Gian sighed.
To change the subject, Gian randomly picked up a piece of dried-out toast from the table and took a bite.
"This bread tastes terrible. Somme, you should really improve your breakfast-making skills," Gian said.
Somme looked completely indifferent, "Well, I'm not the one making breakfast tomorrow anyway, so I think I have plenty of time to improve myself."
"If that's really the case, I almost wish every guy thought like Somme," Susie said slowly.
"Oh, Susie, are you having expectations of me?" Somme stared at Susie with bright eyes.
"I think, no matter how hard you try, your pasta-cooking skills and certain other abilities will never surpass mine."
Matt placed a beautifully plated pasta dish in front of Susie.
"Oh, this smells so good it's making my mouth water," Susie said admiringly about the fragrant pasta.
"Oh, Matt, is there only one serving?"
"After all, we don't want to keep suffering with dry bread either."
Sim called out to Matt.
"Of course..."
"Not!"
Matt deliberately paused to tease the men.
"It's just that none of those plates are as beautifully presented as the one my little wildcat has," Matt laughed.
"Oh, Matt, being with you makes me feel so happy."
The men started showering Matt with compliments.
Matt happily accepted their flattery.
Watching his men slurp their noodles with satisfied faces, Matt felt content.
Susie finished the entire plate of pasta with a satisfied look and got up from the table.
"Oh, Susie, you're dressed so casually today, are you planning to go on vacation?" the men teased Susie.
It seemed their favorite thing to do now was tease Susie.
After all, Susie was pretty and had a good personality.
Most importantly, Susie even allowed them to joke around occasionally.
Aside from their boss getting jealous sometimes, there really wasn't much to worry about.
"Alright, she's mine."
Sure enough, seeing the men's eyes linger too long on Susie, Matt looked unhappy.
"Oh, okay, I think our Matt is jealous again. To avoid hurting innocent people, I think we'd better shift our topic to that blonde girl."
The men continued joking and finished their breakfast.
"Tell me today's schedule," Matt said to Sim.
"We need to check on our shopping malls."
Sim looked through his phone, checking Matt's schedule.
Matt nodded and looked at Susie.
"I think if it's work, it'll definitely be boring, but I really want to go to the mall. Can I not go with you?" Susie discussed with Matt.
"Alright," Matt looked helpless. His little wildcat seemed to make requests he couldn't refuse, no matter what.
"I think I should have two guys follow you, in case anything happens to you."
"Okay, like bodyguards," Susie joked.
There was no need to refuse, because she knew very well that if she refused, Matt wouldn't agree anyway.
"I'm willing to go with Susie."
"Me too." The guys eagerly raised their hands.
Matt was getting a headache.
"Okay, I think you two should go with Susie," Matt randomly pointed at two of them.
The chosen men were thrilled, while the guys who weren't chosen looked disappointed.
"Looks like this outfit is perfect for shopping at the mall. You guys don't need to waste time waiting for me downstairs."
In the black business car downstairs, Susie sat beside Matt.
Matt's hand kept tightly around Susie's waist.
"I think if you squeeze any harder, I might suffocate," Susie joked with Matt.
The guys covered their mouths and giggled.
After driving for a while, the car finally stopped slowly at the mall entrance.
Susie got out first with the two guys.
She really looked more like a young lady from a wealthy family, followed by two bodyguards escorting her shopping.
Who would have thought that less than a month ago, this same Susie couldn't even get enough to eat?
Fate really was a strange thing. It can change just like that.
"Miss Susie, which store should we start with?" Nick asked Susie with a smile.
"If the budget is enough..." Susie thought for a moment.
"Of course!" Nick nodded, waving the black card in his hand. "I just got this from Matt."
Mark chimed in, "If we weren't worried about being too obvious, we could totally not pay at all. But Miss Susie, for your safety, Matt said we should just swipe the card."
Faced with the men's carefulness, Susie didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
"Okay, let's listen to Matt then. It's his card we're swiping anyway," Susie laughed.
Then she rushed into the first women's clothing store with the men.
"Oh, buying women's clothes again?"
"I clearly remember your closet is already filled up by Matt," Nick said with feeling.
"Of course, a woman's closet is always missing one piece of clothing. If you don't believe me, go ask that blonde girl Gian brought back to his room last night," Susie said to Nick with a laugh.
"Oh, I bet Gian will fall in love with that woman sooner or later."
