Chapter 40 040
Damien's POV
"She's leaving me? Does she think she has any choice in this? She absolutely cannot leave me!" I growled, trying to control myself and my anger.
Because she said that to me, I've been so restless and now I can't control myself. My power is hard to control and I can end up killing a lot of people if I'm not being cautious. I don't want something like that to happen to the people I'm supposed to lead.
I don't want the world to know what exactly I am. It's hard to control myself when I don't have my mate with me. I need a Luna in order for everything to be in place. Amelia is my mate yet she's so rebellious. I have been lenient with her so she hasn't seen my abilities to the full extent.
Does she think I'm someone she can push away at any time she wants? I have been waiting for her to get her wolf so that she can be with me. That's the only way for her to understand she's mine but she's running away from me? I tried being harsh on her and she still dares to leave me. I'm going to make her understand that she's mine alone in this life and she will never be able to escape me.
"Alpha!" Lucas shouted as he came in the room. "Are you okay? Should I bring the potion?"
"Bring it." I replied.
I was struggling to stop myself from shifting every minute. It was exhausting to control myself, thanks to her for making me this way. Lucas went to bring the potion that I haven't used for a very long time, this is what I only use to calm myself when I'm at war. I've never been so angry to the extent of needing this.
Sure enough, she's the only one daring to make me this mad. I'm not going to let her get away with this. I have to do whatever I can to keep her with me. I took the potion and I felt my wolf calming down. I finally relaxed and he poured me a drink.
"Alpha, do you want me to take some warriors and bring her back no matter what?" He asked me.
I stopped him, "You don't have to do that. She's going to come to me on her own accord. I have ways to bring her back to me."
"But she's clearly disrespecting you Alpha! You don't have to tolerate her like this. You can have whoever you want! Just say the word and I'll raid her entire pack, I'll bring her to you!" He complained.
I looked at him for a while, he's loyal but also stupid. She already doesn't want to be with me, why kill her entire family to have her?
"I don't need you to do anything out of place. I'm going to get her my own way." I told him.
"But Alpha—"
"I think you've been quite less busy for you to have time to meddle in my affairs. Besides, she's your future Luna. You should put some respect in her name, and also treat her with respect. Don't let me hear you speaking ill of her, do you understand?"
He looked down, "Yes, Alpha."
"What schedule do I have today?" I asked him.
"You're supposed to have a meeting tonight with the Alphas of three packs who want to discuss a cooperation with you." He replied me.
"Oh?" I arched a brow. "They want to discuss a cooperation with the demon Alpha? What exactly do they want from me?"
He shook his head, looking clueless. "I don't really know, Alpha. They know you have a lot of resources, not just pack resources but you're very rich and your money could help them with their pack funding issues."
I sneered, "How convenient. They see me as a thorn in their side but they think I'm worthy of being used for their own gains?"
These people only have selfish interests. They only see me as a tool to advance to the next level. Those who have allied with me did so for my protection, so they wouldn't be attacked by unknown sources. At the end of the day, I'm just a tool for them but they're pawns in my hands.
Who's using who? I just happen to be rich in a lot of things and have a strong army. Giving them a little bit of something means nothing to me. It's just good to see them messing around just to please me. It's fun to watch them make a fool of themselves.
"Should I decline meeting with them, Alpha?"
I nodded, "Postpone that meeting till tomorrow. If they can't wait, they can leave. I'm going to meet with them, let's see what they have to say to me."
"Yes, Alpha. I'll send them the message immediately." He said and walked out.
I looked at the time and headed towards the bed. I should take some time to rest since I have a long day ahead of me tomorrow. Amelia will comply by me no matter what. Also, she's going to get rid of any thoughts of leaving me whatsoever. She's mine and she'll never be with anyone else. Especially not that Brian.
THE NEXT DAY
"Alpha, the car is ready." Lucas announced.
I nodded, "Let's go. We should pay the Alpha of the Red Moon pack a visit."
I was waiting in my study the entire time. I had to look at some reports before leaving. I got some information from my warriors at the borders of my pack about some strange attacks occuring in the place. Not just attacks but deliberate confrontations from rogues and other irrelevant people. I'm not going to sit by and watch them do whatever they want.
"Alpha, what do we do about the complains at the border? Who could be so daring to try provoking our pack like this?" He asked me.
I shook my head, "I don't know. They might not be scared of dying. Just tell the warriors to kill anyone who attacks and capture the ones who confronts them, then bring them to me."
"Yes Alpha."
We headed towards the Red Moon pack. They're not expecting me to come, but I have to go. After all, a member of their pack is going to become my future Luna. I shouldn't have any issues with them to eliminate future troubles. Also, I need to make Amelia come to me by herself. I'm guessing her father would be at the alpha's place at this time because it's convenient they're having meetings.
I know most of their schedules because it's that easy to find out what's going on without working too hard. When the car got to the gate, they refused to open the gate. It was as if they expected me to come, which I also expected from them.
"Alpha, they're not letting us in. What should we do? Should I call the warriors to raid this place?" Lucas asked, ready to start a fight.
)
I shook my head in frustration, sometimes he's just clueless. I tapped his head from the back of the car to knock some senses into him.
"Why do you only think about killing and nothing else? What's your thought process?" I asked him.
"Alpha, I don't understand what you mean. They're clearly disrespecting you, doesn't this mean they want you to start a war?"
"I'm saying I didn't come here to raid the place. They're going to open the gates eventually. Just give it some time."
We waited at the gates for quite a while and I wouldn't say it was pleasant to test my patience. But the gates eventually opened and Lucas drove in. This place isn't as big as my place, my pack is bigger and everything I have is much greater. Why is it hard for them to respect me?
"Alpha Damien, to what do we owe the honour of your sudden visit?" Amelia's father, Gamma Ronald said to me.
He was waiting outside for us to come and I knew something like this would happen anyway. It wasn't worth my anger but it is very interesting what they're trying to do.
"I don't think it's an honour since you left us outside till whenever you liked. You all think you can insult our Alpha however you want because it's been quiet for a few months right?" Lucas snarled at him.
I pulled him back, "That's enough Lucas. I can handle this. There's no need to be so worked up. We're uninvited guests, we're bound to be treated this way."
Ronald looked away, "We were indeed busy trying to receive you. I hope you don't take it out of context."
I shook my head, "Of course not... Father-in-law."
"What did you just call me?"
"Father-in-law. Aren't you my future Luna's father? Don't you think that's the only reason you're able to survive disrespecting me?" I questioned him.
He scoffed, "You unlawful being! I don't care if you're an Alpha or not. You wasted my daughter's innocence, ruined her reputation and awakened her wolf! Do you think I should be respectful to you?"
"What? I awakened her wolf?"
