Chapter 24: Both Scolded, Lilian Benefits

Hillary had just become the third party and was still in a state of elation. Let her enjoy it for a few more days. After all, Lilian still held the most important card about Hillary in her hands. However, she not only wanted to prevent Hillary from becoming a model but also make her feel ashamed.

After being frozen out, Lilian became idle again after filming the hf advertisement. However, she remained calm and patient despite fans causing chaos due to her support for defective products. She endured external criticism without any response.

Elena analyzed Lilian's personality and attitude towards handling things several times before realizing that she was more composed than ordinary people and could endure loneliness better.

Entertainment headlines were still filled with Brent and Hillary's scandalous video incident which received various criticisms and insults towards Hillary while there were two extremes regarding Lilian's attitude - some sympathized with her knowing that Rainer Entertainment suppressed her so commercial endorsements weren't up to her decision while younger fans questioned why she didn't take this opportunity to leave Rainer Entertainment under such restrictions.

A set of photos of Lilian shooting an advertisement were exposed by passers-by which caused internet celebrities to repost them one after another even using words like "astonishing" to praise Lilian's beauty as well as long legs.

Numerous magazines expressed their opinions that even candid shots taken casually by Lilian possessed more natural charm than professional poses.

Therefore, amidst the three individuals' scandals, Hillary and Brent were criticized endlessly while only one set of photos...made people forget that she had been Hillary's substitute before or apologized for admitting publicity stunts; they only remembered the poignant moment when tears streamed down from Lillian’s face in those pictures.

On the same day Elena received invitations from no less than five magazines asking if Lillian would be interested in shooting for their next season's cover.

Looking at Hillary's continuous termination of contracts, Elena suddenly admired Lilian from the bottom of her heart. It turned out that she really had a magical ability to reverse the situation.

Because Lilian’s comeback was unstoppable by Brent, he began to face difficulties when considering whether or not to hide her after receiving invitations from so many magazines. Elena told Brent about several magazine situations and analyzed what route Lilian could take but was interrupted by Hillary sitting in Brent's office chair: "Didn't I say earlier that Lilian shouldn't accept any activities? Did you ignore my words?"

Hillary acted like Mr. Alexander's wife before anything happened between her and Brent...

Elena sneered inwardly.

"Choose E Fashion." Brent picked the most influential one and said to Elena.

"Brent, didn't you promise me something?"

"My dear, I'm doing this for your own good. Think about it - netizens have scolded enough over the video incident. If Lilian just comes out and says we broke up long ago, then there won’t be any interference between us anymore; we'll just be normal boyfriend-girlfriend which will make netizens feel guilty and more tolerant towards you. I'm paving the way for you." Brent explained seriously to Hillary,"There isn’t much time left until annual top ten selection; this is the fastest way to clear your name on social media platforms. When that time comes, if you come back successfully...will there still be a place for Lilian?"Upon hearing this, Hillary's anger dissipated completely: "You really thought it through."

Brent was completely unaware that Elena had already been won over by Lilian. Their disgusting conversation was relayed word for word to Lilian's ears by Elena.

"These two want to use you to clear their names. What are you going to do?" Elena was actually a little curious about how Lilian would avoid being used by Brent.

"Just help me push them away. If Brent asks, just say I'm not feeling well." Lilian replied.

Choosing one magazine out of the five and offending four others wasn't suitable when she needed stability in her foundation.

Elena saw right through it all and admired Lilian's ability to move mountains with ease. She effortlessly pushed away the hot potato. But upon hearing this, Hillary went crazy and slammed her desk while saying to Elena: "She did it on purpose!"

"Well Miss Stone, what do you think? How cooperative should a model be who has been betrayed by her fiancé and then hidden away?"

Brent patted Hillary's back reassuringly before instructing Elena: "Have Lilian come see me."

"I'm afraid that won't work; she isn't feeling well." Elena replied.

"Then tell me where she is so I can go see her!"

"I'll ask for Lilian's opinion first." After speaking, Elena turned around and called Lilian but at that moment Kevin had returned home holding onto Lillian as they watered the garden. Clear in expressing herself, Elena conveyed her message clearly which allowed Kevin who was close enough also heard their conversation.

Then his ink-colored eyes shone like flowing light under the sunset as he playfully whispered into Lillian’s left ear: “Tell your agent Beverly Hills’ address…”

Lilian looked at him puzzledly.

“Firstly notify him that you’ve moved house,” he continued, “and that you are the Moore family’s daughter living in Beverly Hills which is more fitting for your status. You’re no longer someone he can climb up to.”

“Secondly, Hyatt has strict security guards. Do you think any Tom, Dick or Harry can just walk in?”

Lilian chuckled softly as she realized Kevin was not the same person outside as he was at home.

But precisely because of this, she liked him even more. So following Kevin's suggestion, she gave Elena the address of Beverly Hills and upon hearing it Elena was shocked before relaying it back to Brent.

"Lilian said she has already moved house and if you want to see her you can go to Beverly Hills where she now lives..."

Beverly Hills!

That was an area known by everyone in Los Angeles; a place where only big stars could live.

So Hillary sneered: "Her? Move to Beverly Hills? How is that possible?"

"Did Miss Stone forget that Lilian is still the Moore family's daughter? She moved into Beverly Hills simply because it suits her status."

In other words, when Lilian was with Brent before, she had always been lowering herself and sacrificing everything but since Brent didn't recognize her worth then naturally Lilian would return to her original position without any reservations needed.

This height would forever be unattainable for Hillary due to her background determining everything.

And as for Brent himself... thinking about how Lilian wouldn't spend anything while they were together but after breaking up went straight into living in Beverly Hills made him feel uneasy.
