37 - Bossy Voice
Although I was afraid of him, I did not listen to him. What I did was run and quickly get on the bus. If he's joking, I don't like what he's joking about.
And in hindsight, I was delayed because of the heavy traffic. I was 10 minutes late for the presentation that day. Esan must have been looking for me.
I take a deep breath as I enter the conference room. But everything seemed to be in slow motion to me when my eyes first caught sight of Jayar's serious, formal and stubborn face.
I can't get over. She? Is he our big client today? How did that happen? Is that why he doesn't want to let me in now? Didn't it cross my mind that he could be our client.
“Let’s cancel it today, Mr. Fobres. But don’t worry, we’re going to sign the deal. ”
His scary and overly bossy voice wandered into those four corners. But more frightening of all, he was staring at me. He seemed to be implying that I was dead to him.
Esan's face reflected the pleasure even though he was wondering. They shook hands as if they were not bleeding. Then I didn’t know because Jayar grabbed me by the arm and pulled me out. Everyone looked at the two of us, especially my boss.
While I can't figure out why he did this to me. I was just submissive Until he took me out of the company.
"Let me go!" I finally managed to get my voice out as well. The strength of my heartbeat that almost made me deaf.
But as I expected, he did not leave me until he put me in his expensive car parked in the parking lot.
I don’t really know what’s running through this man’s mind. The tightness of his grip on me so when he released me, my arm marked red.
"Anything to say?" he asked stubbornly as he looked at me.
I have something to say but I don't think I can open my mouth now that I'm in the car. I just listen to the throbbing of my chest.
“Starting today, you will stay at home with Jai. No but’s and don’ts. I’ll take you home. ”
God! I was about to react but he quickly pulled the car over. I wasn’t wearing a seatbelt so I almost got hit in the front.
He has already taken away my heart, as well as my job? My mood twitched. He's overdoing it.
“This is my job Mr. Montevidad and my life is my job. You have no right to dictate to me what to do and everything I want because it is my life. How could you to manipulate my life! You are so bad! ” my breath caught after I shouted that at him while driving. I do not care. What dominates me these times is annoyance and anger.
"Do you live your job?" his voice seemed to be pointing at me.
"This is where my son raises us," I replied firmly.
"Then my suspicion is correct."
I was suddenly silent and nervous. I looked back and looked straight ahead. He seems to know something. My anger was gone, it was replaced by unforgivable fear.
"W-what do you mean?"
I heard him growl and I noticed that his fingers seemed to be playing on the steering wheel. "If you really love our son ..."
"—My son," I interrupted.
But he just glanced at me and raised the corner of his lip. "You are willing to give up everything for Jai."
I couldn't help but raise an eyebrow when I looked at him. “But it’s my profession! From any angle, that's not right. ”
“Maybe you are right. What if, I tell your son that I'm not his father and you're just kidding him? How does it sounds? Fair? ”
My heart sank and I stared at him with a deadly stare. He uses my son’s feelings. I can't really get why he's doing this to me. He's so bad! Right now, the boy and I are leaving his house.
I never spoke again. I just kept to myself the emerging annoyance I had. I thought he already knew something. Fortunately and nothing more. But that's all, as long as I'm alive he's interfering. I was stunned when we stopped at a mall. No noise he left me and he went inside.-
