Chapter Twelve ~ I love you

Freya Rose

I woke up from my surgery expecting to be in agonizing pain, and feel like I'd been hit by a truck, but I was pleasantly surprised when all I felt was a tiny bit of aching. You know like when you've worked out a little too much at the gym, and you can barely move the next day. I chuckled to myself when I remembered what Tyler did once at the gym.

This super-hot blond walked into the gym, she was slim but fit, she was wearing a sports top that only just covered her huge boobaloobs. Her abs were on show and she had on these cycling shorts that made her ass, look like she'd just shoved two plump balloons down them to create the perfect Kardashian butt.

As soon as she started doing her stretches Tyler, and pretty much everyone else in the gym, watched her and drooled all over the place. When she'd finished stretching, she came over to the treadmills where me and Tyler were. I didn't pay too much attention; I kept my music on and ran along at a steady pace. Tyler on the other hand, completely freaked out when she got onto the treadmill next to him. He said hi, and told her his name, then held out his hand for her to shake. She looked at his hand with disgust, then eyed him up and down. She wasn't impressed in the slightest, this was before Tyler had filled out, and to be honest he still hasn't beefed up like Tristan has, maybe it's because Tristan is going to be Alpha?

You are here

So, this hot girl just totally ignored him, and I found it hilarious, but he was determined to show her, 'don't judge a book by its cover'. She was running quite fast by now, and even I couldn't stop myself from staring at her. I mean her boobs were bouncing so freaking high, that they were almost smacking her in her damn face. Tyler decided to go faster to match her speed, and he was keeping up pretty well. I was quite impressed, and so was the hot girl by the looks of it. She kept glancing over at Tyler and giving him a sly smile here and there. Tyler then turned his head around to talk to her, and suddenly he got his shoelace caught under his foot. He fell down onto his knees and then flew right off the back of the treadmill, smashing his ass into a glass mirror and shattering it into a million pieces. I laughed so damn hard I had to stop running.

I stopped laughing as soon as Tyler started balling his eyes out. I didn't realize that when he’d slid down the shattered mirror, and landed on the floor, he had fallen ass first onto the broken glass and now had loads of shards stuck in his butt. The girl just rolled her eyes at him, grabbed her water bottle and towel, then strutted off. I was so angry, that I felt like ripping the stuck-up bitches implants out. I began to call an ambulance, but Tyler insisted I just called Aiden to pick us up instead, he said that they had their own doctor. I called Aiden and then helped Tyler up off the floor, one of the gym staff members came to help us, and we took him outside to wait for his dad.

Aiden pulled up in the car, and Tristan pulled up behind him in his car. He was the first to jump out and run over to help, he put his little brother's arm over his shoulder, then Aiden did the same with the other shoulder. They gently lifted him and slowly carried him to Aiden's car. When they got to the car Tristan looked over Tyler's shoulder to have a sneaky peek at what he'd done to himself. He couldn't control himself, and he ended up in such hard fits of laughter, that he could barely hold Tyler up anymore. I expected his dad to shout at him, but he didn't, it looked like he was trying his absolute best not to burst out laughing himself.

I tutted and slapped Tristan on the arm, he immediately apologized to his brother, and then laid him down on his side in the back of his dad's car. Before leaving, Tyler swore me to secrecy, I promised I wouldn't tell a soul and I haven't to this day. Poor guy had to sit on an inflatable circle thing for a week. His mum had given it to him, she'd told me that she had it stashed away from when she had piles while she was pregnant with Tyler. That was really way too much information for my liking. I chuckled out loud as I remembered that day.

“Fianna? Are you awake?” Mason questioned in a quiet and concerned voice. I felt him reach out for my hand. Today was one of the only times that I was glad to have this stupid Angel bond, because I felt the sparks from his fingers, way before he actually got to touch my skin. I quickly snatched my hand away, and then huffed loudly, making sure my annoyance was clearly apparent.

I opened my eyes and turned my head to face him, his eyes where red raw, and you could easily tell that he'd been sitting beside my bed the whole time crying. I felt kinda bad for him, but it wasn't enough to curb the anger and hatred I had towards him right now. At the roadside almost dying I held his hand and tried to tell him straight, that despite this stupid Angel or hunter bond, I choose Tristan. And now, there Mason was, sat at my bedside waiting for me to wake up when it should be Tristan sitting there instead.

“Where's Tristan?” I blurted out coldly, he rolled his eyes at me and huffed with anger.

“I don't know, he took off!” He snapped at me avoiding eye contact, as he stood up and walked over to the window.

“You're lying! He wouldn't do that!” I shouted at him as I tried to pull myself up in the bed. “Argh!” I cried out as the stitches in my stomach pulled.

“What the hell are you doing Freya?” Damien yelled at me with concern as he ran into the room. Mason looked around at me with concern then quickly screwed his face back up in anger, and then looked back out of the window. “Why aren't you helping her? What the hell is wrong with you Mason?” Damien hissed, as he placed an arm around my back and helped me sit up.

“He's sulking because I didn't want him touching me, and because I called him a liar,” I spat out, and Mason just huffed again.

“What's he lied about?” Damien asked as he poured out a glass of water for me, I took a sip then replied,

“I asked where Tristan was, and he told me that he'd taken off!” I stated, and then drank some more water.

“He said what? Mason why would you say such a thing?” He asked in a calm tone as he turned to face Mason.

“Because he's not right for her! She should be with me, it's our destiny and it’s the plan of the Archangel's,” He shouted trying desperately to hold back his tears. I held my head down not knowing what to say, I felt bad for him, but I couldn't help loving Tristan. Damien stood up and walked over to Mason, he put his arm around him and said in a soft voice,

“I know Mason, but it's Freya's choice, you have to accept it and move on.” Mason shrugged Damien's arm off in anger, and turned to face him.

“I can't accept it!” He shouted at him then turned to face me. I looked up into his beautiful green eyes and I could see that his heart was breaking. “I'm in love with you,” he said with pleading in his voice. My face grew sad, as I looked into his tear-filled eyes.

“I'm so sorry Mason, I love Tri...” I didn't manage to finish my sentence. He shoved Damien out of the way and ran out of the room. Damien came over to the bed and put his arm around me.

“I'm sorry dad,” I said as I lowered my head again.

“It's ok Freya, you can't help who you fall in love with,” he said sweetly. We were both then startled by a high-pitched screech.

“Mason!” I said with concern. I looked out of the window and saw Mason fly up into the sky. I sighed and lowered my head back down.

“He'll be ok Freya, just give him some time,” he said softly.

I nodded, as I tried to fight back the tears. I did care for him a lot, but I couldn't give him what he needed, and I couldn't just turn off my love for Tristan. Damien sat back in the chair beside my bed.

“Dad, where's Tristan really?” I asked hoping what Mason said wasn't the truth.

“Oh, Evan took him and the others to the diner down the road, they can't come in here because of all the hunters,” he replied not bothering to look up at me. I think he was using it as an excuse, he doesn't like the wolves much either.

“So why can't they come in exactly?” I asked in an aggravated tone.

“Most of the hunters aren't strong enough to control themselves around them, they would rip them apart as soon as they stepped foot into the house,” he replied bluntly. The way he said it, with no feeling or anything, it seriously pissed me off, so I snapped at him,

“are you fucking kidding me?”

He finally lifted his head to look at me, he then raised an eyebrow as if to say, 'what did you just say?' “You damn well heard me! I just nearly died dad! You are the Fionn, and I am sure you could have ordered them to leave so that my boyfriend's face would be the first thing I saw when I woke up. But no, you chose not to, because you hate wolves, you're a damn speciesist!” I screamed at him. I was so angry and fighting tooth and nail to stop myself from ascending. My mouth flew open in shock as he doubled over with laughter. “What the hell are you laughing at?” I screamed even louder.

“I'm a what now?” He said between labored breaths.

“You heard me! You're a speciesist!” I huffed as I grew more infuriated with him.

“Freya that's not a real thing, you just made that up!” He said while he continued to laugh. I screwed my face up in pure rage. I think it must have looked like my head was going to explode.

“I DID NOT! Google it if you don't believe me,” I yelled again, and folded my arms. I turned my head away from him and huffed, I couldn't look at his stupid face any longer. His laughter died down and he grew silent, I turned my head slightly and peered at him through the corner of my eye. His brow was furrowed in concentration as he read something on his phone. A smirk grew across my face as I watched him.

“Ahem, well I'll be damned, that's actually a thing now? So many damn labels these days, it's so hard to keep track,” he said in a low voice, as he put his phone back into his pocket. I turned to look at him with a giant 'I told you so' grin on my face. He held his hands up in defeat and said, “ok you were right. Although I don't think I'm one of those! I'm a hunter it's just my instincts Freya, I can't help how I was born.” My face softened as I said in a sweet voice,

“and neither can they.” I raised my eyebrows at him as I said it, and a smile crept onto his face.

“No, I suppose they can't, can they?” He replied.

“Can you go and make me a cup of coffee please dad?” I asked with a secret agenda.

“Yeah sure, I'll be right back,” He replied and then left the room. I had a plan, moving really hurt my stomach, but as we heal fast because we're part Angel, I figured that if I ascended I might heal even faster. It was worth a go right? If Tristan couldn't come in here, then I'd make sure I was well enough to go home, or at least order the rest of the hunters to leave the house. I'm the Fionn's daughter after all, it has to have some perks, surely? Ooo, I'll have to ask if I have an official title like a princess or something cool like that, I thought to myself.

I thought of everything that's happened over the last few weeks and quickly ascended, I held in a scream, as it felt like it was ripping me apart from the inside. But after a few seconds the warm fire grew inside me, and along with it came a cooling numbness. It was a very strange feeling, all hot and cold at the same time, but not in a horrible way, it felt like a cool breeze on a hot summer's day. I felt strong and my stomach didn't hurt anymore, so I stood up and walked around the bed. I walked down the stairs and stood in the hallway. I then took in a deep breath and bellowed out as loudly as I could,

“I am Freya Rose, daughter of the Fionn Damien Rose. If you wish to keep your wings attached to your bodies, I suggest you listen to me very carefully! My werewolf boyfriend and his family are coming over soon, and if any of you, even so much as thinks about touching them, I will personally rip out your heart and happily serve it to them for their dinner! NOW GET OUT!”

I think I may have taken it a bit too far, because within seconds hunters came scrambling out of every room and sprinted out of the front door. Each one of them that past me shot me a look of complete fear. To be honest I was really surprised at how much I enjoyed the power. It was exhilarating, I could get used to this, I thought to myself.

Damien walked out into the hall carrying my cup of coffee, he had his brows furrowed in anger. Oh damn, I'm in for it now, he's going to be so pissed off that I screamed at everyone and gave them orders, I thought to myself in a panic. I stood there dead still in my ascended form, I didn't really know this guy yet, so I stayed on guard just in case he decided to attack me. I braced myself.

“What the hell are you doing out of bed Freya? You could have pulled your stitches and bled out!” He shouted with concern. I sighed with relief and let out a giggle as I descended.

“Why are you laughing?” He asked as he walked through to the living room and placed my coffee on the table. I followed him in, and replied,

“I thought you were going to start because I threatened all of the hunters, and ordered them to leave.”

He chuckled as he sat down on the couch and patted the seat next to him. I walked over and sat down, I then picked up my coffee and took a sip.

“Why would I start? I'm proud of you, you're a strong future Fionn! I mean did you see how quickly all of those hunters scurried out of here like little cockroaches. It was glorious, not one of them said a damn word to you,” he said with such pride in his voice. I blushed and sat back to drink my coffee. “Do you mind?” He asked pointing at my stomach. I shook my head and placed my coffee back onto the coffee table, then lifted my top up for him to take a look at my wound. “Wow, that is astounding, I have never seen someone heal so fast. You truly are one of a kind Freya! Does that hurt?” He said as he poked at my stomach.

“AHHH FUCK! why would you do that?” I screamed at him, he snatched his hand away and looked up at me with a panic-stricken face. I had pulled a huge toothy grin, as I said, “got ya!”

He chuckled as the relief swept across his face. I grabbed my coffee and carried on drinking it as he got his phone out and rang someone.

“Yellow!? Urgh, Evan, Freya's awake,” he said to Evan on the phone. I couldn't hear his reply, but Damien then said, “You can come back to the house now, bring Tristan and the others.”

I think Evan then must have asked if I was ok, because Damien then said, “they managed to successfully remove the metal and gave her some blood in a drip. She's sitting next to me downstairs and her wound is almost healed, it's miraculous,” he sounded so happy, and his face was full of pride, as he listened to Evan on the other end of the phone. He then replied,

“Freya ascended, and then threatened to rip out the hearts of anyone that wanted to touch Tristan or the others, she said she'd serve the hunters hearts to the wolves for their dinner.”

I was cringing, hearing the words spoken out loud by someone else, to be honest, it made me feel a little sick. I couldn't believe I'd said those things.

“Oh, can you tell him to tell Tristan, that I love him more than anything, and to get his ass here now to pick me up, I want to go home to the bro's and hoe's house!” I said to Damien in an excited way. I really wanted to get home and get back to normal... Well, our kind of normal. He looked at me like I was a weirdo but relayed the message anyway.

Tyler parked the car out the front of the house and Tristan got out. I couldn't wait for him to get over to me, so I sprinted towards him, and his face lit up as I ran. His smile was huge and inviting, he opened his arms up and I jumped up to him, he then effortlessly swooped me up by my waist and then held me up by my ass like old times. I wrapped my arms and legs around him as he buried his head into my neck.

“I love you always, Forever be mine,” he said in a husky voice.

“I love you so much Tristan,” I said as I squeezed him tighter. He lowered me down onto the floor and kissed me sweetly, it was so full of love, and I couldn't believe that I had my Tristan back. He had a huge grin on his face as the others waved to us, and then drove off.

“Where are they going?” I asked in confusion. He lifted me up bridal style and carried me towards the house, then whispered in my ear,

“your dad's going to drop us off at the airport, I've booked us first class tickets so that my baby can fly home in style.”
