Chapter 246 Chaos and Faith

Chapter 246 Chaos and Faith
Lily's POV

The moment Dr. Harrison lunged for me, everything exploded into chaos.

"Seize the Luna! Get that flower pot!" Elder Thornwood's voice boomed across the courtyard. "Stop this madness before she bleeds to death!"

As Head of Council, Thornwood's orders carried immediate authority. The visiting Alphas and council members surged forward, their faces twisted with desperate determination to save my life.

But they had to get through my family first.

Iris threw herself at the nearest council member, her Luna strength explosive. "You'll get that pot over my dead body!"

Eleanor grabbed Dr. Harrison's wrist as he raised the sedative needle, her maternal fury blazing. "Don't you dare drug my daughter-in-law!"

Rose and Sage flanked Emma protectively while she clutched the ceramic pot, the hybrid flowers inside beginning to pulse with unnatural light.

The courtyard erupted into a battlefield.

But then I noticed something that made my heart sink.

Ethan stepped forward with obvious reluctance, his Beta authority commanding immediate attention. "Everyone stand down! Luna Lily needs medical intervention!"

His voice carried the weight of military command, but I could see the anguish in his eyes.

Lucas moved to flank him, along with several other pack officers. As Moonfall's military leadership, they were bound by duty to maintain order and protect pack members from harm - even from themselves.

Even if it meant stopping me.

"Ethan, please—" I started desperately.

His face was a mask of professional duty, but his voice cracked slightly. "I'm sorry, Lily. Council orders."

Fuck. I'd lost my strongest potential allies.

The pack officers advanced on my supporters with military precision. But something felt... strange about their movements.

Ethan grappled with Iris, trying to restrain her, but his grip seemed looser than it should be. She "struggled" against him with theatrical force, making their fight look intense while neither landed any real blows.

Lucas was "overpowering" Eleanor, but somehow she kept slipping from his grasp just when he should have subdued her. His frustrated shouts sounded genuine, but his technique was sloppy in ways that didn't match his training.

Holy shit. They were throwing the fight.

The pack officers were putting on a show of following orders while secretly letting my supporters "resist" effectively.

But the real violence was happening elsewhere.

Three council members broke through the fake fighting, charging straight for Emma and the glowing flower pot. Their determination was absolutely genuine - they truly believed they were saving my life.

Emma dodged desperately, but she was outnumbered. "Lily! The flowers! They're changing!"

I looked down at the hybrid blooms pressed against my chest and gasped.

They were drinking my blood hungrily, their petals shifting from deep red to rich gold to radiant silver.

And tiny buds were forming at their centers - not flower buds, but something denser. Rounder.

The resurrection fruits were actually beginning to grow.

Dr. Harrison broke free from Eleanor's "restraint" and lunged for me with the sedative needle. "This delusion ends now!"

But Darius suddenly appeared, throwing himself between us with dramatic flair. "Doctor, wait! Something's happening to the flowers!"

His "stumble" sent Harrison sprawling, the needle flying from his hands.

Nova stepped protectively in front of me, her voice carrying absolute authority. "Anyone who tries to harm this girl will answer to me personally."

Felix nodded grimly beside her. Their unified stance made several attackers hesitate.

Benjamin looked torn between duty and emotion. "Lily, sweetheart, you're losing too much blood—"

"Look at the fucking flowers!" Emma screamed.

Everyone's attention snapped to the ceramic pot in her arms.

The hybrid blooms inside were glowing - actually glowing - with otherworldly light. Even in the chaos, the supernatural energy was impossible to ignore.

One of the charging council members stopped mid-grab, staring at the luminescent petals. "What the hell is that?"

The flowers on my chest were burning hot now, their colors shifting like liquid fire.

I pressed my bleeding palm harder against them, feeling them pulse with increasing life. "More... they need more..."

Blood flowed freely down my arm, and the hybrid blooms drank it greedily.

The buds at their centers swelled visibly, growing fat and round.

Suddenly, supernatural energy exploded across the courtyard like a shockwave.

Every person staggered, the raw power radiating from the transformed plants making the air itself shimmer.

The fake fighting stopped instantly. Ethan's hands fell away from Iris as he stared at the impossible sight.

Lucas released Eleanor, his military composure cracking. "Sweet Jesus... what is that?"

Even the most determined council members froze mid-attack, their certainty crumbling as they witnessed something beyond explanation.

The fruits - because that's what they were now, actual fruits - pulsed with visible life energy. Their surfaces glowed like captured moonlight, radiating pure resurrection power.

Martha's voice carried clearly across the silent courtyard from the mansion steps: "Lily... sweet child... what have you done?"

But this time her tone wasn't horrified. It was filled with wonder.

Elder Thornwood stumbled backward, his face pale with shock. "This... this cannot be real."

Dr. Harrison's sedative lay forgotten in the grass as he stared at the glowing fruits. "Medically impossible. Plants don't respond to blood this way. They don't emit bioluminescence. They don't—"

"Shut up," Benjamin whispered, his voice thick with emotion. "Just... shut up and watch."

The transformation accelerated.

The fruits grew larger, their glow intensifying until the entire courtyard was bathed in ethereal silver light. Even my crying son had gone quiet, sensing something momentous happening.

Ethan's voice was barely audible: "Lily... how did you know?"

I could barely stand now. Blood loss was making me dizzy, but the largest fruit gave a final pulse and dropped into my shaking hands.

It was warm and smooth, about the size of a small apple, radiating pure life energy.

The resurrection fruit. Actually real. Actually in my hands.

Silence stretched across the courtyard as everyone held their breath.

Even the visiting Alphas who'd called me delusional now stood speechless, their scientific certainty destroyed by witnessing the impossible.

I clutched the glowing fruit against my chest and looked up at the sea of stunned faces.

"The Moon Goddess kept her promise," I whispered.

Then I turned toward the mansion, where Gabriel's body waited.

Behind me, Elder Thornwood's broken voice carried across the courtyard:

"What if... dear God... what if she's right?"

For the first time since Gabriel died, I smiled through my tears.

Because I was about to get my mate back.
