Alexander Arlan Ainsley POV
I was surprised by the girl's unexpected reaction. Damn! This was the first time a woman had refused a hug. Usually, the women I met were happy to get naked and beg me so they could be my bed warmer.
She still rebelled, as if I were a contagious disease, but I did not give up and hugged her even tighter.
"Hey, calm down! I do not mean to be rude, but I just want to help calm you down. You are scared, aren't you? I am here to protect you." I was annoyed, because this was the first time a woman rejected me and it hurt my ego.
I just wanted to hug her and calm her fears. Why was this girl getting hysterical in the dark? Could it be that she has claustrophobia [1] and nyctophobia? [2] I thought, curiously.
Miraculous. After I said that, this girl did not even rebel anymore and instead stayed still in my arms. Yeah, things were better now, because there was no need for drama, like pushing my body around. Her sobs were still audible, though very quiet.
"Do not be afraid. I am right here," I whispered to her.
Without realizing it, I stroked her long hair and reflexively kissed the top of her head. I could smell the sweet fragrance of shampoo. Suddenly, the male instinct that has never felt a touch from any woman rose up unbidden. I wanted to do intimate things with her.
No! What are you doing, stupid? Do not be a pervert! Why did you have to smell that girl's shampoo? I cursed myself for being as reckless as I was.
I tried to calm my heart and neutralize the passion that was rising uncontrollably, though it was very difficult to do. We fell silent, and the silence in the elevator returned. What should I do now? I was not sure I could hold myself back any longer, especially with this girl still in my arms.
If this lust had not normalized yet, I hope it did not to let my junior wake up and harden on its own. I hoped that would not be happening, because I did not want to hurt this girl.
Suddenly there was a sound from the elevator intercom, which distracted me. What was going on? Did he have something to say? Why, after all this time, was someone calling into the elevator? What did the engineering team do? If they were employees of my company, I would have scolded them for neglecting passenger safety!
"Hello, this is engineering. Is there anyone in the elevator?" Someone asked, so I spontaneously snorted, having waited too long and interrupted our romance.
"Yes, there are people here. My fiancé and I have been trapped for a long time!" I replied irritably, while still hugging the girl, who managed to make desire rise unbidden.
"Sorry, sir. The power is out and our generator is broken. We will try as quickly as possible to get the power back to normal."
"Do something! My fiancé is scared!" When in reality, I was very happy for the power to stay out longer, so I could cuddle with this woman longer.
Well, if the electricity had not been operating, then she and I would not be where we are now. The woman, whose face I had not seen yet, was silent. Was she enjoying our embrace or thinking about something else? I was very curious and wanted to know more about this girl.
"I apologize again, ladies and gentlemen. We need about twenty to thirty minutes from now."
"Hurry up, we are both going to an important meeting!" Actually, I was the one who was going to the meeting and for the meeting to start at eleven in the afternoon and now it was probably still past ten, which meant that I was not late.
I almost forgot about the meeting with Rayner because of the spontaneous increased libido. Damn! This girl really made me almost lose control!
"Yes, ladies and gentlemen. We will try to make it as soon as possible. Sorry for the inconvenience."
The voice on the intercom disappeared. I was relieved that there was no more interruption.
"Why did you say with the officer talking on the intercom that I was your fiancé?" the girl asked in a displeased tone. Then she hit my chest as if trying to break free from the embrace.
I embraced the fierce woman again, so that her head was close to my chest. It was strange. Why did I not seem to want her to leave my arms now? I felt comfortable being close to and holding her. For the first time, I felt like I wanted to be a man who wanted to own, take care of and protect a woman. Why am I becoming like this?
"I was just reflexively answering. I am sorry," I replied softly.
Did I apologize to someone? This was truly a miracle. Anyone who knew me intimately would have laughed out loud if they heard that one word come out of my mouth. Fortunately, there was only me and her in the elevator, so no one dared to mock me.
We both fell silent and to be honest, I did not care about the power failure or anything else, except for the woman in my arms. I only wanted her!
Amidst the silence, she suddenly said to me, "Sir, there is no need to hug me anymore. I feel better already."
This girl's voice sounded shaky, and I knew she was lying. Hey! Why was I even more unwilling for her to leave me? Fuck! There was something wrong with me!
"Are you serious? It is cramped and dark in here. Are you really sure you are feeling better?" I asked in a dubious tone and hoped she would stay in this position.
The girl fell silent and started touching my cheeks with both hands. The touch surprised me. My libido, which had dropped a bit, rose again on its own and I was already eager to kiss her lips.
"I am fine, sir. Thank you for caring about me," she replied, softly.
Shit! Her voice was even more arousing, and I did not want this beautiful thing to end quickly! I had to get her identity!
"Who is your name?" I asked again, without preamble.
She remained silent and would not answer the question, which made me very curious. Normally, I would not ask for a girl's name under normal circumstances except in business relationships. However, why did a girl like her manage to make me do silly things all at once? This was out of the ordinary and my first time.
I could not let go of this soft-spoken woman. She was the woman I was going to make my wife, and this was the girl's type I was looking for!
