Chapter 120
Chapter 120
Javier
"I did that and it was still the same thing. The human came back crying and it was as if the child knew what we wanted to do and he was showing us we couldn't do anything." This spoiled my plan. I took a seat and closed my eyes to think of the next plan. It wasn't long till I came up with another plan.
"Do you think it is possible to kidnap his twin sister instead? She might not be as important as her brother but I am sure she is equally treasured."
"I will see to that immediately." He bowed and started leaving but I stopped him before he reached the door.
"Don't fail me again, it would not be pretty if you do so."
"I will make sure of that." He left and I sighed.
True to his word, he came back a day later with the girl. Looking at the beautiful girl sleeping, a thousand thoughts went through my mind. She would definitely be a beauty once she blossoms. Should I keep her as my trophy and treat her as I want? She is sound asleep and I sniffed her black hair that is the same as her mother's.
"Take her inside, I will go and see Adoff." He bowed and left. It will soon be nightfall and I am sure the South would be in a frenzy looking for her.
"How did you succeed in kidnapping her?" I asked.
"Unlike his brother, she is a kind soul and will always try to help in any way she could. While she was playing with her friends, I called her to help me free a rabbit. Her kind soul wouldn't let her ignore the suffering of any creatures."
"Make sure to have the heretics seal her off so that they wouldn't be able to communicate with her." I left immediately and I was unable to stop the smile creeping up my lips.
"So you have succeeded?" Adoff asked and I nodded, unable to talk. He laughed and then stood up from his throne.
"Then, tomorrow we launch a full-scale attack on them."
"If we start tomorrow, we will arrive in a week."
My servants were only to come back immediately because of the teleportation channel the heretics created after the human sacrifices.
"Don't worry about that, I will order the fight to begin immediately since they are already in place. All I need to do is join them as fast as I can." My eyes widened. He already sent off his warriors even before the day I came to him. I have greatly underestimated his hatred and resolve.
"Alright, I will be beside you when you leave." I bowed and left.
"I need you to go back to the South and deliver my message." I came back to give my servant a message.
"Tell them that I, Javier, are with their little princess and I will soon be the destruction of Khan."
He bowed and left. I don't know if he knew that his life would end the moment he delivered the message or if he is too loyal to even think of disobeying me. Regardless, I am happy that my plans are working as planned.
"I heard you have that witch's daughter." Ruth busted through the door and her eyes were burning with hatred.
"Easy, you have no bone to pick with her."
"I do, as long as she is from Dianna." At that moment the little girl came out rubbing her eyes.
"Mom?"
She called and I realized that her being outside can make them track her down. It is impossible for other wolves but I have learned never to underestimate Khan and his family. It is still unclear to me how he was able to find Dianna that time we kidnapped her.
"I told you people, to never let her step outside the seal."
"Don't worry about that Javier, look at her wrist." The heretics working with me came out and I looked at her wrist like he said and saw the bangle in her wrist.
"This bangle will make it impossible for them to find her or communicate with her." I sighed in relief.
"She looks like her mother." Ruth scoffed and went closer to her.
"Where is my Mom and Ralph?" She asked and there was no fear in her eyes. Just like her father, her eyes are fierce and radiate power.
"They are far away from here." Ruth answered, faking sadness.
"Did you people kidnap me?" She asked again and I am starting to wonder how old she is for being this calm. Truly, the Khan gene runs in her veins.
"What will you do about that?" Ruth's hatred was making her banter with a child.
"That is a very bad thing and I am even forced to pity you." She said as she shook her head and I felt embarrassed by her statement.
"Why is that?" I asked.
"Because I am the Jewel of Anu Ukwu Nation."
For generations, it has been believed that the beautiful Luna is the Jewel of the Pack and the Alpha has been the strength. More than the strength, the Pack protests the Jewel more and becomes ferocious if the Jewel is in any form of danger.
"Who told you that?"
I couldn't believe that my heart was racing just because of a little girl.
"My Dad." She replied and the image of Khan appeared in my memory and I was unable to scoff at the child.
"Take her inside." I managed to order and tried my best not to show a disgraceful side of me.
"Did we do the right thing?" Ruth asked the moment they left and I was unable to answer her. Whether right or wrong, there is no other path for us.
Dianna Pov.
We searched everywhere looking for Rieka. To make matters worse, we are unable to communicate with her. Even the heretics were unable to track her down. We used everything at our disposal to search for her.
"Don't worry, we will be able to find her." Nora tried to console me.
"I believe she must be somewhere sleeping, you know how carefree she is." Cassie said while taking the sleeping Ralph from me, I have refused to let him out of my sight all day.
"Then why is it impossible for us to track her?" How would I be able to face Khan when he finally wakes up and asks for his daughter. Unable to control my tears, they rolled down my cheeks.
"There would be no need for that because I believe we will find her before Khan wakes up." Nora tried to assure me.
They followed me back home as we searched everywhere we possibly could. Farkas suggested we keep it a secret but I couldn't so I ordered the message be passed out around the Nation. A reward would be given to anyone that came with news about her whereabouts. I guess I was too focused on their father that I forgot to care for them.
"I have been negligent in my duties."
"Message has been passed, we wait for the news, my Queen." Farkas announced the moment he walked in.
"No need for that." A stranger walked in like he owns the place. He doesn't smell familiar or look familiar.
"Who are you?" Farkas asked, standing between the stranger and us. I was sitting on the throne carrying Ralph, Nora and Cassie were beside me.
"I am just someone that has the news of the little princess's whereabouts." He smiled and suddenly who he is or where he came from became useless.
"Where is she?" I stood up and Ralph stirred but didn't wake up. It is amazing he is sleeping through the whole ordeal.
"Easy, where is the reward?" He asked.
"Walking out with your life is enough reward." Farkas snared and the stranger took a step back.
"Temper, temper. I am just here to bring the news of your daughter and this is the reward I get. A threat to my life, maybe the great Anu Ukwu isn't as benevolent as they make people believe."
"I apologize if we have treated you unjustly. Please can you tell us about her whereabouts?" I begged. Being a parent makes you forget your pride when your child's safety is involved. Right now I am not the Queen or the mate of the most powerful being alive, I am just a mother worried about her daughter.
"She is in Alioma." He said after a long silence. His words were unbelievable but there was no iota of deceit or joke from him.
"Alioma? How is it possible?" Farkas asked as he was confused as every one of us.
"She is soundly asleep in the hands of Alpha Javier." He said the name with pride.
"Javier? That is impossible."
It has been such a long time since I heard his name. How could he still be around to torment me? What did I exactly do to him to receive so much pain from him?
"Impossible? That is a word that someone related to Khan shouldn't be saying." The stranger mocked us for our choice of words.
"How is she able to get to Alioma in just a few hours?" Cassie asked.
"I took her there and it is possible because of the teleportation channel spell." He smiled. Since he walked in here, he has been arrogant and it is starting to annoy me.
"You are right, I can smell her from you. Although it is faint, almost as if you washed it off trying to hide it."
Farkas said as he smiled and for the first time, the stranger started to panic. Farkas is slowly releasing his ambience. For every step Farkas took forward, the stranger would step backwards.
