Chapter 69: A chat with an old lover
Darius POV
I narrowed my gaze at him as though his words were just nonchalant and really didn't mean anything in my ears.
He noticed I wasn't interested in his revelation as Alan don't have anything against me.
He just want me out of his sight but I'd stick to him like a leech.
Hastily, he swirl the laptop at my face, to look at the screen. It was a video of me cutting the face of a man with blade.
Fuck! When alan had come over to the basement, he took videos of me.
This must be the second time. I could recall that day. I think he was looking for me or something.
He had his phone with him too and when he caught me doing that, rather than getting all fretful, he only watch with bewilderment.
He recorded everything in the basement. I didn't suspect him when he was going around, with his phone at his breast pocket.
He had even touched some weapons that had blood stains on it, interrogating me like some detective.
Alan questioned me why I was so brutal but I really didn't give a response and chased him away because he shouldn't be down there.
That's where I give judgement to people who feel they could escape the law. He doesn't even know yet.
"You know what I do Gary, they're horrible people who needs to die..."
"What makes you better than them Darius?" He cuts in as I swallowed staring at how I cut my victim into shreds.
"Look at how he cries Gary, it's so emotional!" I teased and then burst into a hysterical laughter.
"You're a madman Darius and I'd break that wings!" Gary spat and I shrugged my shoulders.
"Ohh, fuck, you're making me horny love, I miss that body you know" I replied with a grin and relaxing my back on the board head of my chair.
I watch his flaring expression. He'd burn me if he got the chance. He should have just killed me when he had the chance a year ago.
I just can't fanthom for it, why did he let me go that night? I'd just assume because he had no evidence yet against me.
It quite terrifying that we meet again. I knew he promises me that we'd meet again and this time, no one would save me from his rage.
He really meant that. For Alan, he's just confused and need to be taught a lesson. He was so difficult to understand, difficult to love and fuck! He keeps occupying my mind.
"You have to admit to your crimes because there's no need for an interrogation..."
"I won't speak until my lawyer arrives" i chip in and he thud the table again, the skin on his face tightens and it was obvious, he was frustrated by me.
"Darius!"
"Gary, don't get worked up, it would be disturbing for your health"
"You don't need to worry, I've gotten it sorted out and in full shape"
I let out a sincere smile. He'd never know would he? The mysterious man that paid for his hospital bills and stayed secretly to watch him recover.
Even at that, he shouldn't stress himself, at least, he needs to be strong to put me behind bars.
I wore my slippers back, adjusted myself on the chair because I knew my secretary and lawyer are on the way.
"You know a lot of people wants you behind bar right?" He began taking the laptop back to the position it was earlier.
"I'm honored" I gruesomely spat out still maintaining that bright look on my face. I couldn't see him probably as my hair had covered my eyes and I didn't want to groom it back.
He heaved a sigh, took a sip of his coffee and pushed the other mug closer to me, indicating I should drink it.
I spat into the coffee and gave him a cynical gesture.
"You're a case Darius" he muses and then began to read my crimes in my ears.
"Theft, abduction, drugs, murder, thuggery..."
I rubbed my ears as they weren't ending. It seems the devil would be proud of me and make me his second in command in hell.
I can't even go to church to repent because it's a part of me. I paid for all those crimes when I recently got arrested.
He can't be serious, bringing up the past. This evidence just proves it that I murder the missing people they've been looking for.
I felt drowsy as it seems as though he was reading a newspaper. My crimes weren't ending and he derived joy in doing that.
That evidence wouldn't last, I was sure of it and it wouldn't count either. He'd be mad because i'd win the case.
He paused as though he was tired of signing the crimes to my ears. I only kept nodding and thrumming my fingers on the table to form a beat.
It'd really make a nice song and I was impressed. The noise I made with my fingers and the beatbox I created was getting into him.
"Stop that Darius!" He ordered but I kept on doing that anyway, moving my head rhythmically.
"You're defiling the law, and that
"Oh my God, the way that you do it like, it blows my mind and get me dancing, Gary, i can't help but fall in love"
He adjusted his collar, clench his teeth and dump the file on the table. My eyes scruntized the room.
Now I could how it looks like. An empty room with just a table and two seat for Gary and I.
The interrogation room got opened, interrupting his speech whatever about me.
I found my secretary and lawyer by the door. At last, I just can't wait to get out of here.
Gary growl silently at me and I grimanced at him back. I'd win this case as always and he'd just have to accept the fact that money rules.
"Don't get too full of yourself Darius, it might be really different this time"
