Chapter 67: A Sign

Alan's POV

The Shrill voice of Darius, jolted me out of my sleep.

I sat up immediately, my posture stiffening. The nightwear I sore was all soaked with sweat…

I slowly rolled my face to Darius, scruntized the place and realized I was in his room.

It was a nightmare. I could feel the worries in his eyes, his hand holding on to me and I gulped hard.

He tried to cuddle me but I pushed him away, still frighten by the nightmare.

It could be him but the face was unclear. My heart thuds fast as I quickly scrabble down the bed.

He jumped down from the bed, intending to touch me but I kept moving away like he was a plague.

"Alan..."

"Stay away from me monster!" I barked clutching my hand on my chest and panting hard.

The aftermath of the nightmare still wears me and I desired to let go of it but then it was so terrifying and traumatizing.

Darius rolled his eyes with an expression of contempt, pulled my hand and my body hugged him.

"It's just a nightmare" he whispers stroking my back as I struggled for air. He wrapped me warmly in his arms, wanting me to find solace in him.

I quickly terminated the embrace just to avoid falling totally into him.

"It's best you stay away Darius, I haven't gotten over..."

"Peris?" He questioned, his eyes glowering at me just as the dream, he was making me scared with the vile look on his face.

"Do you think I'd stay away?" He pressed on taking a calculative step forward and I was running out of breath.

My feet moved back as I tried to picture the image of the man chasing me in my head.

He now had a frown on, his body sizzling and brimming with anger.

"Da..ri.."

I couldn't complete his name as my back slam against the wall, i keep getting stuck with him.

It turns out i'm quite difficult to understand and my actions towards him changes all the time.

One day, I like him and the next day, I'd despise him then it's replaced by horror and fear of him.

He was close now and I struggle to roll out words because it felt my dream was coming through and I was yet to believe if it were truly him.

His hand arched over my head, as he trapped me in that confined space with him.

He raised my jaw high and my head ducks a bit to the back, he was scruntizing my eyes.

Fear gripped me and I couldn't help but melt under his constant gaze which ignites fear in me.

"You're mine now Alan, not even you can object to that!" He clearly stated and I froze where I stood.

Could he be the one? My nightmare? If it were true, then I've got to cut out from him before it's too late.

"No you don't own me!" I retort, with shaky lips. It was difficult to muster up courage as I was in his lair.

A smirk was suspended on his lips as he lean his.

"Let's see about that" he replied, rubbing his nose on my neck, inhaling my body, his face rubs my skin and I shrink panting harder.

Hastily, and trying to protect myself, from him, I punched him on the stomach, though feeling back about that, I moved for the doorknob and ran out.

It felt similar to the dream and I dare not look or I'd suffer from a blood pressure.

"Run, whore, I'd always catch you!" He growl at me and I widened my eyes.

Shit! He was just right behind me when I thought I had raced out my life, down the hallway and heading towards the sitting room.

He creeps me out and I pictured him exactly as the stranger who chased me in the dream.

One thing was certain, I've got to avoid Darius, because he might be my nemesis.

All sort of thoughts rings in my mind and the fact that he claims I was his made to me to suspect him of something.

I got to the sitting room, realizing he's one step behind him. He didn't even race and his footsteps were hard to hear.

There i found Divya, sitting at the dinning, looking depressed and staring at the breakfast served.

She was my church and refuge now. Just to avoid Darius, I drew closer to her and said;

"Babe!" I called frantically. She jerked from where she sat and her face brightens up at the sight of me.

I slowly rose my head to meet Darius fierce gaze as he took the last step down to meet us at the dinning.

I hastily sat beside Divya who placed her warm palms on my cheeks. She looked sick with worries.

"Oh Alan, you look thin already, thank God Darius brought you back to me!" She lamented and then hugged me.

My heart almost exploded as he dragged a chair to sit opposite me. His eyes haven't left me.

"Wow, Darius? You're joining us for breakfast?" I struggled to speak in between my teeth, panting softly.

I was stroking divya's back as she complains of how sick she was when she heard nothing about me.

If only she knew I wasn't concentrating but lost in Darius killing look. I wondered what he must have said this time around to Divya.

"You both irritates me" Darius coldly says scruntizing the meal before him. I could tell he doesn't even want Divya close to me.

Divya quickly terminates the embrace as it seems she doesn't want her brother feeling uncomfortable since he's gay.

"Darius, thank you so much for bringing him to me" she appreciated and I narrowed my gaze at him.

It seems this siblings are impossible to break. My life would be in danger with him.

I knew I want to die desperately but I had a change of heart after last night with this hot devil.

However, I just don't want my life to end like the way it was in my nightmare, having to suffer a torture from him.

One thing is obvious, Darius is a true beast and nothing changes him. He'd make mincemeat out of me and I'd love miserably.
