CHAPTER 10

VISITATION WITH SANDHYA

Sajan was in an injured condition. Just then, a beautiful girl arrived there sitting on a mare. When Sajan looked at the girl, he forgot all his pain for a few moments.

The girl was fair complexion. His eyes were completely black and clean. The girl’s hair was reaching her waist. The girl’s lips were pink. She was wearing a traditional dress. When that girl saw Sajan in an injured condition, the girl got down quickly from that mare and reached to Sajan. The girl immediately said “What has happened to you? Who has done all this?” Sajan replied “Gobin”. The girl asked nothing further.

The girl immediately placed Sajan on her mare, and took him away to her house.

The girl quickly drove the mare until it came home. On reaching home, the girl started the treatment of Sajan. First, the girl applied ointment to the wound. After this, the wound was bandaged. The girl immediately went and brought the decoction for “sajan”. Sajan took that decoction.

The girl served Sajan in all honesty. Sajan liked it all. Sajan asked the girl’s name, then she said “Sandhya”.

Sandhya was a very beautiful girl of 18 years. Sandhya’s family consisted of a younger sister, and her parents. Sandhya also had a grandmother who lived with her. Her grandmother was very understanding in Ayurvedic herbs. Sandhya was taught by her grandmother to make Ayurvedic decoction and to treat people. Sandhya used to treat people to serve them for free. By doing this Sandhya was very happy. Sandhya’s father was a farmer and her mother was a homemaker. Sandhya’s sister was 15 years old and she was still studying.

Had spent about a week. Sajan’s condition was now improving. But, Sajan no longer wanted to leave that girl. Sajan fell in love with that girl. Sajan had a desire to love that girl very much. Sajan had a desire to marry that girl.

Sajan sometimes thinks about that girl’s curly hair and sometimes thinks about her beautiful eyes. He had a strong desire now that he should marry that girl, but he had to go to his village with a treasure. So Sajan decides that he will tell his feelings to the girl clearly.

It was evening. Sandhya is preparing food for the family members along with her family members. Sajan is looking at that girl. When that girl comes to his room with food for Sajan, Sajan says “I want to talk to you, after the food is done”. The girl shakes her head in agreement and leaves.

When everyone eats food, Sajan goes to the roof of the house. There is so much cold air going on that, after sitting there for a while, the mind can completely calm down. Then suddenly that beautiful girl Sandhya comes there too. Sandhya is wearing a white dress.

Sandhya smiles and asks Sajan what happened?

Sajan said – don’t you think you should get married now?

Sandhya said – Yes! But if I like a good boy, then I will think.

Sajan says “what kind of boy do you want for marriage?

Sandhya said – Honest and good for all, a boy who keeps me very happy, loves me.

Sajan said – I like you and want to get married.

Sandhya kept quiet for a while …

Then said – why do you want to marry me?

Sajan said “I like your nature to help people”

Sandhya thought for a while… then said – I will think again and tell you.

The next morning, Sandhya comes to Sajan and asks why he has a fight with Gobin.

Sajan then tells the whole story to Sandhya. In the end it states that at any cost, he will take the treasure to his village and help the people. He will fight to the death to take his treasure from the gobin. Seeing the nature of helping people, “Sandhya” also starts liking “Sajan”.

Sandhya says – I want to be with you all my life.

Sajan says I have to fight the gobin to take the treasure, but defeating him is not so easy. That’s why Sandhya says that she knows a guru who can teach Sajan to wield a sword. Sajan said, “Take me to him so that I can learn to stake a sword”. Sandhya did the same.
