Twenty Seven

ROLAND'S POV

I left the park house quite early in the morning and not before pecking cam on the cheek. I wanted to tell her that I was going to office but seeing her sleeping peacefully,I couldn't wake her up. I didn't want to disturb her sleep. I hurriedly got to office and started tackling the issues at hand. It wasn't as urgent as I imagined, nevertheless,I decided to finish everything before going home.

I assigned each task to gammas and decided to take a little break before going back to work.

"You've not spoken to our mate today". I heard my wolf say

"I Know. She must be worried about me". I said to my wolf.

"Just call her already ". My wolf whined.

Picking up my phone,I tried her number it rung twice before she picked. I knew she was going to burst out angrily and I thought of different soothing excuses to give her .

"You didn't tell me you were going out!". She shouted angrily on the phone.

Now what should I tell her. She still seem angry.

"Sorry love,I had alot to do in the office and since you slept off angrily,I didn't want wake you up.. and also waking up to see you hugging me,I could guess you weren't angry again". I said to her chuckling lightly.

You need to see the way she was clunged to me like her life depended on it. Even though she looked frail and weak,I could tell she's got a very strong pull or hold or something just like a baby.

"Well, I do turn about while sleeping maybe I mistook you for my pillow...so don't think too much". I heard her say.

Such lame excuses. I laughed inwardly and I could actually tell she was not at home and from the look of things, she's somewhere lousy. Let me sooth her before I ask. She might probably not tell me if I don't.

"Calm down baby... That place sounds noisy...where are you?. I asked getting all curious and protective.

Though I know she couldn't go anywhere without the gammas by her side. At the same time I still have to be worried. As an Alpha,I've got alot of enemies especially my rival Alexander. He might be cooking up something but I'll be always ready for him.

"Well since you left without telling me,I wouldn't tell you ". I heard her say.

Arghh why are women like this?... I sighed inwardly.

"Com'on babes ...I already apologized ". I told her.

Did I even apologize?.

"When?...na ...I didn't hear it ". She said...

Do I really have to apologize?... I sighed out loudly.

"I'm sorry". I apologized.

Damn!.. this is literally my first Apology ever since I became an Alpha. Well,she's going to be my Luna so she very much deserve my apologies.

I heard her apologize too..

I didn't like that she also apologized.

"It's okay baby...I'm going to fix things with Lucy ". I said to her assuring her to do so once I'm home.

"I know you will. You aren't an Alpha for nothing. You're my Alpha ". I heard her say sheepishly.

"And you're my Luna ". I told her back.

I decided to ask where she was and told me she was in one of my parks . The Mongo Amusement park...which I opened few months ago. The business has been going well and people from far and near came to tour.

Cam kept on exaggerating about the park and how really amusing it was. I felt proud of my achievement and my wolf felt all giddy as our mate continued to praise me.

Suddenly I heard someone scream...and then cam shouted lily name and I couldn't hear anything.

Damn!. I cussed out

I kept on calling but it seems she dropped the phone on the floor. What the actual hell is happening there.

I felt so troubled and worried.

I tried mind linking with cam's.. but it was very far away. I could really reach out to her.

Standing up from my chair,I grabbed the key and dashed out walking hastily to my car. The gammas saw me and bowed Their heads. I rushed passed them and entered the car driving so fast.

I tried calling lily too but her phone was out of reach. I tried reaching out to the gammas protecting them but their phones were out of coverage. I also tried mind linking with lily's but I couldn't.

Many thoughts passed through my mind. What could have happened?. Nothing bad could happen.. lily is strong to protect her self and but what about cam?. She is weak. She can't even kill a fly talk more of protecting her self.

I got there in the next few minutes and I started sniffing for my mate searching for her scent among the crowds. I finally found her scent and followed till I got there. Once I got there,I stood stupefied and slightly angry.

Before me was lily and Luna playing a 3d video game. Wait, is that why she was shouting and screaming?.. I sighed out in frustration.

Suddenly,cam saw me and alerted lily.

"He's finally here". Cam cheered excitedly.

Wait!

What does she mean by I was finally here?. Was this a setup or something. They should give me a better explanation or it won't go out well.

"Rolley...it's nice to be here. Aren't you tired of working working?.. I got a bit stressed so I took a day off to catch some fun with cam and it was amazing. I also wanted you to share in the fun so we had to do this".

What has happened to my Stern sister?. Staying with cam as actually brought back the lively girl in her. But this prank was too expensive. I'm gonna deal with it later in my own ways.

"Come have some fun". Cam dragged me and I followed hypnotically

I frowned lightly when I saw cam touching her forehead weakly. She's probably tired. A good opportunity to get both of them out of here.

"Cam what's wrong?". I asked as I touched her head.

"My head is spinning and I feel dizzy already ". She sitting down.

"You must be tired. I think you've had enough fun today. Shall we now go?. I asked her and also facing lily.

"Yeah let's go. I'm getting bored of having fun". I laughed at lily's reaction.

"I thought you wanted to have some fun and play more often?". I asked her holding my laughter.

"I'm not interested again" she said as we all left the amusement park.

Lily entered the car she came with and I took cam inside my own car but this time around,I let one of the gammas drive us home.

Our way home was quite silent. That was because cam I slept off all tired and fatigued. I smiled lightly as I looked at her tired sleeping face. Can't believe someone could get tired from having fun.

Well I can't really blame her. She's been going from one place to another since she arrived at my pack house. Maybe it's time for her to rest for few days before any activities again.

We got home and I carried her in a bridal style heading up stairs. On my way I met with Lucy. I could see the hurt in her eyes as I carried cam. I stood in front of her.

"We need to talk". I told her.

"There's nothing to talk about. Forget whatever I did yesterday. It was the alcohol speaking. I won't bother you again. I'm getting over the feelings I have for you. I hope we go still be good friends".she said as she walked away.

Did Lucy really say this?

Are you sure she isn't acting so she could attack at the least expected?. Alot went through my mind as I carefully laid cam on the bed and lay beside her stroking her hair.

I left her hair and went to shower. I came out of the shower and still found her sleeping. I checked the time and saw it was almost 3p.m. I decided to go downstairs to have something to eat since I haven't really eaten anything since morning.

The maids placed my lunch Infront of me and bowed before scurrying away.

They dare not look at an Alpha while they eat.

I finished eating almost immediately since I was really famished. I settled down in the living room to watch movies. There wasn't really something of my interest and I switched off the T.v . Taking my phone out of my pocket,I decided to check my mails.

A call came in afterwards and I picked immediately I saw the caller's name.

"Hey rolley " I rolled my eyes as soon as I heard the word rolley. Who else would call me that apart from my siblings?..

Fred. My second Elder brother.

"Second brother". I answered.

"Hey little man". He said trying to taunt me.

Even though I'm the Alpha of blue Orchids park,I would forever remain a little boy in the eyes of my siblings.

"How are you doing"I asked.

"I'm good. Actually, I'm coming home tomorrow. Just wanted to tell you. So you could actually prepare the surprised you have for me". He said sheepishly.

Uhmm. I nodded my head.

Even though he was older than me with few years,one would think he was the youngest. His cheerful in character and fierce in training. His wolf could have been defined as the toughest of us all. He was well built and strong. His aura alone could scare anyone away. But deep down he was soft which he hardly show around except you're close to him.

Fred is my immediate Elder brother. Before him is Lucian.

Lucian my first brother and which I'm more closer though he's hardly around but he always make sure everything is alright with us.

Like Fred,he's also very fierce and brutal during training and battle.

Anytime he shape shift's,his wolf is always Looking angry and ready to attack. Though during the years,lily was able to help him control his wolf but sometimes,he let's it take over him.

Then lily our first and only sister. She was the first born of our late parents and she was given the authority by our elders to to train her siblings. She was the one controlling the blue Orchids park before I was matured to take over from her.

Her wolf is very scary and brutal just like Fred's wolf. Though a female wolf, she was as strong as a male wolf. She could defeat a whole pack if she's in rage.

She should be the most strongest female wolf in the country. Because of her prowess,she has helped win so many battles.

Fred found his mate last year and they both got married during the last full moon of last year. His mate was equally very strong. Together,they could actually rule Their clan.

Lucian already found his mate and has started a family with 2 little pups already.

Well lily, she doesn't want any mate yet. Don't know what's stopping her from getting one.



The next day,my pack house was busy everyone moving from here and there... decoration flying around and little kids ran around laughing heartily.

I saw cam directing were and what should be put at the appropriate places. I put her in charge of the welcome party. I want to see if she would really be able to handle the affairs of the pack once she becomes my Luna.

"Could take this outside and bring in the blue... Oh why is this here.. it's disfiguring here...". I saw her direct the gammas as they worked tirelessly listening to her.

I watched silently from the back and went into my own thoughts.

She looked weak from the outside but feirce on the inside. I can feel it. I really should test her wolf strength after this whole welcome party.

I took a step with strides as I walked to her and hugged her from behind.

You're back she said touching my head as I rested my head on her shoulder

"How did you know I was the one?". I asked feeling very curious.

"Why won't I recognize your scent?".she threw the question back at me.

"And I know no one in this park could hug me except you except they are wishing to die" she said laughing

"Nice.". I said

"My brother would love you immediately". He said looking at how the decorations are going.

"He's coming with his wife right?". She asked.

"Yes.she can't leave her alone as she's expecting". I answered her

"Awwn. So you're going to be an uncle soon". She smiled sheepishly.

"Enough of your lovey dovey or go get a room" . I heard lilly say.

I looked at cam,and she was slightly embarrassed and shy. Her cheek burned red.

"We were actually doing nothing ". She replied sheepishly.

"I can see that ". Lily said as she finally got to us.

"By the way, that devil has been acting strangely". Lily stated.

I knew the devil she was referring to was lucy. I chuckled lightly and sighed.

Ever since my encounter with her yesterday,she had literally changed. She was more cheerful and also helping with the decorations. She acted all nicely to cam. But I still couldn't trust her. Not yet.

She might be up to something.
