Twenty Two

Carmilla POV

Roland was busy with his project supervision and Lila was planning to travel so I also decided to visit my pack and see Ashley since she has been dying to see me after she returned. My dad sent gammas to pick me from Blue Orchid since Roland was too busy to drop me off.

The drive back to Silver pack was quiet. I sat and remembered memories I and Ashley made as kids and I smiled. Getting to the pack house, I entered the quiet house and looked around, surprised. I was expecting the house to be filled with screams from Ashley.

“Cam!!!” Ashley shouted from upstairs and ran down the stairs.

“Ash!” I said as we hugged.

She has grown taller, muscular and stronger. The warrior training was really paying off.

“You look different” I said.

“Look who is talking. You are glowing Cam” she said.

I walked around the room with pride and she laughed.

“Roland is really taking care of you” she said.

“Yea, he is. Telling me about trainings?” I said and pulled her to sit with me.

We talked for hours, laughed and caught up on all the things we have missed over the years. My dad retuned from a meeting.

“Hey dad” I waved to him from my seat.

“You did not miss your big man or because Ashley is around. C’mon and hug me” he whined and I laughed. I went to hug him and he pulled me closer.

“Roland said you were angry about the wedding adjustment. So he asked me to give you special treatment on his behalf as apology” he said.

I blushed and they both laughed.

“You can see the treatment later when you and Ashley are done talking” he said and walked away.

I returned to my conversation with Ashley and we chatted till dinner time.

“You girls should stop talking and come and eat dinner” my dad called to us.

We went to the dinner and eat. It was good to have Ashley back. After dinner, we returned to our separate room to rest and I had time to freshen up and relax from the day stress.

The next morning, I and Ashley took a walk around the pack and gammas were sent to pick us later in the afternoon for the surprise Roland organized. We drove towards the pack outskirts and the car parked in front of a resort. We were guided inside and taken to a room where we had to change into something lighter. I still did not know what Roland planned.

We put on safety jackets and got into a speed boat, we did a little boat cruise but the boat was actually taking us to another place. It was chilly and cold on the boat so immediately we alighted we were given coats. I and Ashley sat for a while with a cup of hot coffee in hand. Hot air balloons was the next adventure on the list, I wondered how many things Roland had planned.

Literally touring the whole of Silver pack, seeing place I have never seen all my life. It was amazing seeing new things and I and Ashley had fun. We returned home at dawn just in time for dinner. I fall asleep immediately after dinner not until I heard my phone ring.

“Hello Roland” I said with my sleepy voice, knowing he was the only one that would call me this late.

He complained about not getting enough sleep and I decided to keep him company for a while before he eventually falls asleep. He said good night and I went back to bed.

The rest of the week was fun, doing crazy adventures with Ashley and getting to know each other more. She was leaving back to her training camp in five days time and wants to spend few days with her mate before she travels so she left the pack. It was hard saying goodbye again but I knew I would see her soon for my wedding.

I was not planning on returning back to Blue Orchid Pack anytime soon since I knew Roland would still be busy with his project. I was lying on my room and reading a novel I just discovered when I got a call from Lila.

“Hi Lila” I said.

“Carmilla. How are you doing?” she asked.

“I’m very well. How are you?”

“I’m fine. I would be returning home tomorrow and I was thinking if you would want to surprise Roland. He has not let me rest even though I left the house to escape from him” I could imagine her roll her eyes and j laughed.

“That’s fine” I replied.

“Okay, I would stop by at your pack this evening so we can leave together. I want to see your dad too” she said.

I immediately sat up, excited.

“Really? That’s great. He would be really excited to see you. You can join us just in time for dinner” I replied.

She laughed at my excitement “Okay Cam. I would call you when I arrived”

I was waiting for her phone call throughout the afternoon, it was not coming anytime soon but I was just excited for her to meet my dad. He returned home and I did not tell him about Lila coming, I wanted him to be surprised.

Few hours later, dinner was ready and Dad and I were seated. I constantly looked at my phone but no call yet. Half way into the meal, I got her call and I excused myself to meet her outside.

“Lila!” I said and we hugged.

“Thank you for coming” I said and she smiled.

“You are a little late for dinner tho but I guess the chefs can get you something” we walked into the dining room.

“Dad, this is Lila. Roland’s elder sister” he looked him from his plate and stood up, cleaning his messy hand.

“Nice to meet you Lila. I’m Alpha Silver, Carmilla’s dad” he said.

“Nice to meet you too” she smiled.

“ I’m sorry you are meeting me like this. Carmilla did not tell me about your coming” he said and hit my arm.

“I wanted you to be surprised” I said.

“ I’m surprised. Join us for dinner Lila” we walked to the table together.

“I have heard a lot about you Lila” he said as we sat down to eat.

“All good I hope?” she asked and looked at me.

“Yes” he replied and laughed.

They talked throughout the dinner, they have a lot in common so it was easy for them to talk. They still chatted even after dinner and I was glad to see them connect. Most of their conversations were about pack businesses and some of them about I and Roland.

“Nice to meet you again Mr Silver” Lila said when they decided to call it a night.

“Just call me Langston” he said.

“It was great talking to you Langston. Good night” she said and we left together.

“Your dad is really different” she said.

“How?” I asked.

“Not like every regular Oldie” she said and we laughed.

“Yea, he always wants to be youth but he still acts old sometimes” I replied.

“Here, this is the guest room. I had the gammas clean it up and run you hot water to bath. Have a good night rest Lila” I said and left her alone to freshen up.

We left the pack early the next morning, even though my dad wanted us to wait for breakfast. He still made sure some of betas and gammas followed us as escort.

“Your dad is quite a man” Lila said.

“He is” I rolled my eyes.

“Always treating me like a baby” I said.

“It is nice tho” Lila replied.

She told me about her trip and how she got recognition for her books. We got to Blue Orchid in the evening and Roland was not home yet as expected so we took the opportunity to settle in. I stayed in Lila’s room till Roland returned. Lila went out to meet him and she did not tell him I was around, I came out later and he was not so surprised to see me.

I was not angry cause I know it was quite hard to make an impression on Roland. He was clingy and it was because he missed me. I admired his little habit. He sat and listened to I and Lila talk about our trip. During dinner, he made me sit beside him and he ran his hand over my slightly exposed thigh giving me shivers.

We went to bed early. Immediately we got into the room, he attacked my lips and kissed me. We kissed for a while before he pulled back.

“I have missed you Cam” he said with a hoarse voice and heavy breathing.

“I miss you too Rol….” He did not let me complete my sentence before he kissed me again, this time deeper than before and we both staggered to the bed. We laid on the bed and he was lying on top me. The room was getting hotter and Roland roamed his hand around my thigh and neck. My breathing got heavier each time his tongue found its way into my mouth.

“Roland Roland” I called him faintly.

“Hmmm” he replied with his lips biting on my neck.

“Ca…can we not..do this tonight?” I said.

He stopped.

“Oh, why? Does it make you uncomfortable?” he asked.

“No no. I just feel like I’m not ready yet and we are both tired now” I said, shyly.

“It’s fine Cam. I’m sorry if I rushed into it. I can wait” he said and held my hand.

“We can just cuddle” I suggested.

“Sure” we laid down properly and he cuddled up behind me. I could feel his hard groin against my butt and I blushed, I felt bad for refusing him.

“Roland?” I called him.

“Yes?” He replied.

“We can still do it. I don’t want you to sleep like this” I said.

“Like how Cam?” he asked.

“Hmm…this..ehmm…hard” I said and he laughed, I felt embarrassed that I said the wrong thing.

“ Don’t feel bad baby. It would relax later, just ignore it” he replied and I felt relived.

He pulled me closer and I slept fast in his warm cuddle.

I went out with Roland to the construction site and I was proud of what he was doing. Five new buildings were built at the same time and it was not easy supervising all of them. I met his loyal assistance Fred.

“Good to finally meet you Fred” I said.

“It’s my pleasure too Luna Carmilla” he said politely.

“ I’m not even the Luna yet. Just call me Carmilla” I said and he looked at Roland.

“What?” Roland asked him.

“ I wanted to know if you were good with me calling her that” he asked and watched them closely. Roland waved his hand and Fred turned back to me.

“ What was that for?” I asked.

“Roland is extra protective of you and I would not want be on his bad side” he whispered and I blushed.

We walked around for a while and I pleaded with Roland to let me stop at the hospital. I love visiting hospitals. My mom died of cancer when I was just eight so I made sure to visit the hospital every month and I have not kept to the promise for a while now.

The hospital was quite big so I could only walk the first wing. The patients were excited to have me around and even more glad to see their all mighty alpha. I got to the children section before we left. It was fun talking and playing with little kid and it breaks my heart to remember they are all suffering from different killer diseases.

Roland insisted we eat lunch outside after we left the hospital. I left to return home while he returned to the site.
