CHAPTER 119
Francesca
A week later...
I'm looking at myself in the mirror of the huge walk-in closet I have.
I confess that at first I thought it was an exaggeration, but as soon as I brought my things and Fernando's, I realized that it was the exact size and if it was a little bigger it would be better.
I smile as I remember his face when my things were in place and there was a small part left to put his things on.
- Amore mio, you look beautiful. To me, you'll outshine the bride," he says turning me towards him, running his hand over my face in a delicious caress.
"Seriously, I'll change then," I say jokingly. "I'm never going to outshine Suzi, she'd kill me."
- Stop, Francesca, you look beautiful. Nothing will be changed, not least because we are late. I'm even afraid that when our wedding is over, I think I'll be waiting for you at the altar almost in despair.
- You fool!
I'm wearing a lilac dress, tight at the bust and loose from the waist. My hair is half loose and half up, giving it an angelic touch, since the ceremony will be at dusk, in the garden of Marco's mansion.
Lorenzo looks gorgeous in a lead gray suit, white shirt and lilac tie, a special request from the bride to the groomsmen.
"We're beautiful, aren't we?" Lorenzo asks holding my waist from behind, looking at the two of us through the mirror.
"We're beautiful. I smile and he kisses my cheek.
"Linda, it's you naked in the moonlight or the sun.
- Just think about it, you fool!
He laughs.
"With you always.
"Let's go, otherwise we won't get out of here."
He slaps my ass and turns around, pulling me by the hand.
An hour later, we are at the altar waiting for the bride.
Lorenzo's father is nervous and sweats most of all while Lorenzo and Jhon laugh at his condition.
"I just want to see when it's your turn, get ready I'm going to laugh a lot in the face of both of you," Marco says nervously, rubbing the handkerchief on his forehead, which only makes Lorenzo and Jhon laugh more.
Gio pokes and fights with Jhon, while I do the same with Lorenzo.
"You're not going to let me wait too long, are you?" Lorenzo asks with the face of an ownerless dog.
He's beautiful anyway, even when it's as bad as it is now.
"It will depend on my mood.
"Don't do that to me, Fran. He kisses my lips and I smile at him.
Soon the music starts playing, signaling that the bride has arrived and I see my father-in-law sighs, relieved.
Did he think Suzi was going to run away?
She appears at the beginning of the hallway they have set up with flower arranging and a red carpet, and I see my father-in-law wipe away a tear that falls from his eyes.
Suzi smiles as she stares at her fiancé, not looking away.
They love each other and it shows.
As Suzi approaches, Marco walks towards her and greets her father who seems to be quite moved by the occasion.
The man seems to be a simple person, but he loves his daughter more than anything, since after a car accident, only the two of a family of five survived.
Suzi told me her story as we got closer, and I felt sorry for her story.
The ceremony takes its course with a beautiful speech by the justice of the peace about companionship and love on difficult days, after all, showing love on happy and prosperous days is easy.
Suzi cries and Marco dries his tears in a gesture of affection.
At the end, at kiss time, they are treated to the sunset coloring the summer sky of our Florence.
- Long live the bride and groom! - Lorenzo says and Jhon accompanies him very happy.
Gio and I, on the other hand, threw the rose petals at them, wishing them a long and happy life together, just as I wish to have them by my love's side.
